*No sanitation procedures, in the time I have been here I have not seen the STAFF clean any of the equipment. The changing rooms have a seat that has sweat stains from every time a person has sat down on it.This gym is germ infested... *The equipment and machines break and it takes months for them to even acknowledge it. There are some machines that have been broken for over a year and has not been touched. *The staff is rude, and only want your money. I have tried asking for advice from the employees only to have them make me feel insecure and leave me with no helpful information. They will act like you are a burden unless it comes to getting them paid. They have given me random fees, to the point i had to cancel my card. After doing so they put the new card back on the system automatically without my permission. The only good thing from my experience here would be the equipment style and functions, but again the maintenance and the sanitation has been an issue. People come and go in this place because of these conditions, i have yet to see any improvements in the last year.

Visited this gym with intention to join (used to be an Armbrust member and prefer serious gyms). This gym has a lot of equipment, they seem custom made or old, but they are excellent in their effectiveness. It has two sitting dip machines (rare in gyms these days). A seated bicep curl machine (aside from the preacher curls) that up to now only Armbrust had it in the entire Denver metro. I also counted about 10 back machines. The selection is simply phenomenal... BUT ... the gym itself seems to be in a disarray. Unfinished. Machines crammed in every nook and cranny and some are overflow in the sidewalk. Not enough thought is being put for the upkeep or the layout. I am getting this vibe that this gym is not going to make it through 2017; especially with competition like Chuze fitness (which is at 1/3 the monthly cost, has less machine variety, but it is pristine and well run). I feel sad to see such a purist place (the last of its kind?) fading away.

Ive tried a few different gyms (24 hour, better bodies, snap fitness) and this Self defined fitness has by far been my favorite one. I have been coming here for a few years now and the gym has only improved over time. The staff and the trainers are always very polite, and I feel like its great motivation that a few of them have competed proffessionaly. Ive been helped a few times with my form by some of them. I like this gym because I dont want to spend my time on a treadmill walking for an hour, I want to go in lift some weights. The equipment is, in my opinion, better then 24 hour equipment. Their free weights are heaver and their dumbbells go all the way up to 150lbs (not that i can lift that much). I recommened this gym to everyone i know.

I loved this gym while I was there because the people were friendly and equipment was great. After moving and letting my contract run out I was charged 2 months in a row. I called owner and was unable to get him (or anyone) on the phone. Eventually reached him through Facebook after threatening to report him to BBB, had to physically come in for a cash refund, was assured my account was cancelled and would not be charged again. Was charged the next month, alerted him again, no response. I had to call the bank and file a claim to ensure I am not charged again. So I guess its a good gym as long as you never have to cancel.

I been a member here for 6 years now, this gym has never failed me, if you want good equipment this is the spot, if you want a family gym with a good atmosphere without the politics and drama this is your gym. Im amazed at some of the rude and ridiculous reviews i read how can you hate on family owned gym, Hakan gived his day and night for this gym he always gives it his all he went from 5k sqare feet to 30k square feet facility his hard work and dedication shows for it self, i highly recommend this gym to everybody thats takes there health seriously, haters stay out of here it aint for you.

My Message is For Thomas Ann first off its amazes me how you can hide behind a fake Profile and criticize Self Defined Fitness Pro Gym with lies and false accusations its clearly shows you have never been to Self Defined. In your review your promoting Chuze fitness, how many years have they been around? How many reviews do they have? We have been around 6 years and as a Gym we have the most reviews in the country. Self Defined Fitness Pro Gym is the best Equipped gym in the state of Colorado period get your facts right then come to us if you can .

If you are into weights and nothing else, this is your place. All 5 of their cardio machines are barely functioning, I am not even sure the TVS work, the have a lovely habit of not running the air conditioning in the summer time, the matts are not usable since the slide around and provide almost no protection from the concrete floor, and you can forget about things like foam rollers, stability balls, kettle bells or anything that is not focused on weight training. Also pretty sure the reviews up here are from the trainers (ie Nick).

Its not a big corporate gym with fancy brand new equipment, and yeah the AC isnt always working. But its a GYM, I go there to sweat. I go there to lift heavy steel. I dont go there to be comfortable in my AC, carpeted gym to WATCH TVS. If you have time to watch a damn tv, step your game up. And their 2 stair mills work great. So yeah, I give this gym 5 stars and would highly recommend it to the most novice of lifters to the most advanced. Awesome trainers that will take you to your next level if youre willing to put in the work.

Self Defined has surpassed my view on what I expected it to be. At first I was slightly skeptical as to what kind of gym it was due to lack of photographs showing equipment and trainers and sch, but the place is wide open and inviting to new guests such as myself. All the equipment was well managed and the management was polite and very considerate with working with me. As a martial artist having the ring and the bag line up was a royal touch in my tastes. Thanks for everything Self Defined, definitely professional fitness.

This place is awful and dirty! Customer service is horrible here. They will only be nice to you if you are a 15 year old Latin Girl. Theres flies in the summer all over the equipment and the bathroom is disgusting. Not to mention the machines are never clean. Stay away from here. Honestly this place is horrible. If you look at all the 5 star accounts you can see they only rated this place and are obviously fake accounts or the family members of the owner. This place is a joke. Stay away.
