UPDATE: Downgrading review. How many years of complaints are you going to receive before putting something as simple as a 2nd bench press & squat rack in your crappy gym?? These are staple exercises but one of each is short-sighted. Its absolutely ridiculous to watch people line up to wait for these with so much space being taken up by unused machines in the middle of the floor but at least we have somewhere to sit while we wait forever to bench or squat. Waited half an hour for the bench press at 10am on a Wednesday because a single dude was doing his whole CrossFit routine using the bench & bar. Wasnt even doing bench presses. You would think employees would see this & do something but nope, the very few so-called "trainers" that are up there are like the guy in the pics here, training n00bs the incorrect, very dangerous for your spine way while posing with their Redbull & leaning against the very weight the client is trying to lift. They also walk right past dudes standing on balls doing heavy barbell curls & women doing pushups on upright dumbells. Not using the bar horizontally for stability, but standing the dumbells ON THEIR ENDS! Faceplant anyone?? Real classy, 24hr "Fitness". And others mentioned "nicest equipment" & "cleanest locker rooms & facilities in Denver" which has to be a joke (or an employee review). As of June 2016 they are & have been disgusting for as long as Ive been a member. Ive contacted management a number of times over the years but nothing has changed here since 2008. Luckily Im a fully paid lifetime member & can go to the other ones. Avoid this one like the plague because thats most likely what youll catch if you go there. ----------- ORIGINAL REVIEW - 2009 Nice & clean but tiny. Plenty of good treadmills & ellipticals downstairs to watch your morning shows & daytime soaps on but the "weight" room upstairs is lacking tons. Pretty much only 1 of everything bench & machine wise which results in pretty lengthy wait times just to get a set in. With no room for expansion or adding as little as one more dumbbell, if youre on a specific routine this gym aint gonna cut it.

I agree with everyone on here that has said this place is too crowded. Its really ridiculous. This isnt the first gym Ive ever been to in my life, so I know Im not crazy for thinking this. In fact, many other 24 Hour Fitness locations around Denver have figured out how best to manage their space and still have a clean and friendly atmosphere to work out in. This location cant seem to get it through their heads that they need to do something about the overcrowding and if they cant, they need to at least be friendly to the people who suggest things to them. I suggested some ideas to them to help with the crowding, and the lady at the front desk said "No, haha, Im sorry, nothing we can do about it!" - Did she think I was joking? Also, the mens bathroom is continually dirty. The floor is muddy and dirty, but Ill let that go because its winter. But the used bars of soap, shaving razors, hair, and used bandages in the shower stalls? I wont let that go. And Im not in the Army anymore, so I dont need to try to dress myself in 30 seconds crammed in a corner in the locker room with 10 other naked men all trying to get to their locker in the corner as well. What a freaking joke, I swear.

This is close to where I live so location is ideal. However, I do avoid it at rush hour times (you may want to ask the club for those specific times - I know I avoid it around 5,6 Mon-Thurs. I have never been in a situation where there was not a piece of aerobic equipment is available. However, Im flexible. If eliptical is not available I do bike or other. I think they should get rid of all but one of the tall bikes since Ive never seen more than one used at any time. I have one complaint: this place used to have a pristine clean changing area. This is one reason I switched from Ballys, for better cleaning standards. Lately those standards have fallen noticeably. Customer service: excellent, in my experience. I paid for three years at a fair price and have not been hassled. Well see if I get a good renewal price. During busy hours at this club I go to the club on 81st which is bigger and also not far.

The gym is newer, so the facility and equipment are nice and in good condition. However, it was poorly designed, both the inside and parking outside. Parking spaces are hard to come by, especially when they dont clear all the snow during the winter. Inside, there are too few cardio machines, always leaving a line waiting for one. There are also too few workout stations upstairs, so you often have to wait after finishing an exercise until another piece of equipment opens up. Even the Group X room is smaller than most other 24 hr locations, meaning classes are crowded. Im not sure why everyones hating on the staff. We have found the staff to be helpful and courteous. They cant help it if the building itself is too small for an adequate gym. We use this one because unfortunately its the closest one to our house. We like the Lowry location a lot better, but its a longer drive and not as convenient.

So I would like everyone who has given a poor review on 24 hour fitness to know that Anytime Fitness has just opened on 44th and Lowell in the Highlands area. It is a two story gym that provides high quality equipment as well as a friendly atmosphere. There is a large amount of great cardio equipment as well as all weights equipment a muscle builder would need. It also provides yoga and cycling classes as well as a large amount of TRX equipment. It is some of the nicest gym equipment I have seen in a while. It covers all aspects of what any gym member would want. There is also some high technology classes that one can take from a projector for those who want to be trained, while also having actual trainers if you want a trainer. It really just has it all. Also it is not crowded whatsoever and it also 24 hours.

Dont join this gym as it is dirty, very crowded and way too small for the number of members it has. They pack so many peolpe into the gym that it is uncomfortable, smelly and you can barely excersise. Waiting lines for the cardo equipment are at times 15 people deep. The floor mats never seem to be cleaned. The locker room is tiny and over crowded. Dont even try the showers they are often cold. To my amazement as packed as it is, there is a team of staff that continue to sell memberships. I consistently have a hard time finding a parking space even during off times. Despite signing up for a three year membership. I am so feed-up I am looking for another place to work out. Any suggestions? The personal trainer are great as well as the staff!

Dont go here. I signed up for a year membership with the reassurance that if I moved, it could be cancelled. Well, I moved six months later and they refused to cancel my membership. They even asked me for more info than the government requires for address changes, information I didnt have (dont have a lease at the moment). They made the claim that my contract was for a year and went month to month after that. Well, its over a year later and I just got a call from them asking for updated payment information because the monthly payment didnt go through SIX MONTHS after I first told them I moved and requested a cancellation. Dont give them any of your information.
