To Joe and the ENTIRE staff at AWS, I seldom write reviews, but felt compelled to after having my windows installed on June 24, 2014. Incredible, Amazing, Beautiful, and Overly Impressed are just a few of the words that come to mind when referring to my ENTIRE experience with Advanced Window Systems. From my initial consultation with David Webber, to the scheduling of my install with Tram, and through the installation with Dave and his crew, I have never been more impressed with any other contractor (and I have owned numerous homes, having built two). The window product that AWS sells is superior to ANY window on the market. Having compared AWS windows to Harvey, Anderson, and Marvin, the window AWS offers is by far the best I have ever seen. Not only is it more beautiful (with its subtle molding profiles), but feature-for-feature it is in a class of its own. I purchased 24 windows, with two being fairly large picture windows with side-by-side casements. These replaced my single-pane, lead weight windows that were originally installed in 1936. Besides the beauty of the windows, I immediately noticed how much more quiet my interior is from the outside. As for the installation, Dave and his crew arrived exactly on-time, and were not only pleasant and professional, but were the cleanest contractors I have ever dealt with. When completed, there was not a single piece of debris left anywhere. Additionally, the aluminum flashing work that Dave did over-exceeded my expectations. He took the time to overlap and 45-degree miter and caulk each casing. The flashing, coupled with the beauty of the window itself, added immediate curb appeal to my home. If ANYONE is in the market for replacement windows, I graciously volunteer to speak to anyone as a referral, and welcome anyone to my home to see first-hand the professional product and installation that AWS offers. In August 2013, I purchased a home in Enfield, CT. My house was a former farmhouse, built in 1930. While it was well built, it was not well maintained. Moving in, I knew I had to replace my 84 year old windows. After living in the home some time, I also found that one of my external doors was not installed quite right. The drafts I felt during the winter said it all! After some investigating, I found that the door actually used to be inside the house, and that the previous owners had built and framed around it when adding on. That would explain the not quite right and drafty fit. The door would be a challenge to replace! Being new to the area, I did not know any contractors by word of mouth. I researched several in the area, and had four, including Advanced Window Systems, come to my home to talk about options and cost. Being a young, single, first time home owner, I was on a budget but still wanted great quality. It seemed as though AWS could give me the best deal for the cost. I turned out to be more than right! All windows were installed beautifully in my home. Fred and Carla, the two who performed the work, were wonderful to work with. They were timely and thorough. The windows that were replaced were in the bedrooms. After they had left for the day, there was not a trace that workers had been present. Plus, they were able to seamlessly install the exact trim that I wanted. A final note – I have both a cat and a dog. Carla and Fred had no issue working around them and were very pet friendly! The company in general was great to work with. When I went to apply for town permits for the work, they sent everything necessary for me to do so immediately over email. (If I had asked, I am sure they would have done the entire process for me!) In the next few years, my house will need siding. I will not hesitate to give AWS this opportunity.

I was recently in the challenging position of needing to purchase replacement french patio doors for my log construction home. The original doors were wood, but I wanted a new style fiberglass door that would also match the look and feel of my home. After receiving one outrageous quote from a national company I just happened to receive a mailer for AWS. I was somewhat discouraged by my previous quote and thought I may need to wait a year before I could afford to get the job done, but figured there would be no harm in having AWS come out for a free quote. They came out quickly and gave me a fair quote without any "sales pitch"; very straight forward and friendly. The previous company that quoted me made me sit through a 2 hour PowerPoint on an iPad, it was not a good experience and I recommend staying away from companies like that. From there, measurements were made and I scheduled an appointment for the install. The door was ready and installed within the time frame that was initially promised. The install went great, they were in-and-out in less than a day. The installers were extremely friendly and clean, after they left you would never know the entire doorway to my deck had been torn apart. During the install, a very minor imperfection (something I may not even have seen myself) in the finish was pointed out by the tech and they said they would come back and touch it up for me. As promised, someone quickly came back out and touched up the minor blemish. This type of service after the sale was very impressive and gave me lot of confidence in the service I can expect to receive should I ever have any future issues with the door. Overall, I cannot recommend AWS enough and my experience far exceeded my expectations.

From my first meeting with Mark, my experience with AWS was outstanding. Mark, the founders son, did not pressure me into the sale. He just explained his product and was willing to answer all of my questions. Initially, i didnt think i would do business with them as I wanted fiberglass windows and they only use vinyl. But after seeing the quality of their windows, i changed my mind. The next professional to come to the house was the measuring man. He was prompt, courteous, and very thorough. After the approximately 30 day build period, we got the call that the windows would be installed in a week. I was told that it would take 3 days, and maybe a little bit on the fourth day. My installer arrived and on day one installed 15 double hung windows. On day 2, he installed a bow window AND french doors. I couldnt have been happier with my experience with AWS. While the window quality is outstanding, it is surpassed by their complete warranty. Not only is the window, the glass, and the screens covered, but the instillation is also covered!!! The warranty is also completely transferable. I have recommended them to friends and family members. Give Mark a call at Advanced WIndows and you will get a quality item at a reasonable cost. PS- i recently noticed a very small rip in one of the screens. I could live with it but decided to call in my warranty and see what they company would do after they have your money.... Well, the nice lady on the phone told me that she would set up an appointment and a guy would come to my house and rescreen my window. I was told he would be there at 9 am, and he showed up at 8:50, we rescreened the window, and was gone by 9:05. The experience couldnt have been any easier or pleasant. Dave
