These people have the worst customer service. I normally dont post reviews, but they get me so upset that I want to warn other people. My husband and I have been in our house almost a year, and we have had to contact State Line on numerous occasions, and every time it has been an awful experience. When we originally had them fill our propane tank, we requested to NOT be put on auto fill. In late December I found a piece of paper stuck under my garage door that turned out to be a huge bill from State Line, so obviously they ignored our request and filled our tank without our permission. When I called to get the situation handled, one person told me they see notes where it says we didnt want auto fill, and then I was directed to someone else. That person then said there are no such notes, and now I have to pay the full amount. I asked to speak with a manager, and he was just as rude as the first two people, if not worse. I asked him to give me at least 4 months without accruing interest to pay off the remaining balance since this was their mistake. I feel I should have had longer, but I was getting no where with this man. He agreed to the 4 months, but when I received my first bill there were interest charges applied. Now they call and harass my husband about getting a payment even though we have been making payments each month. Bottom line, if you dont have to go with them--DONT!

I dont usually write reviews, but I was surprised when I saw all of the horrible reviews for State Line. I figured Id share my mostly positive experience. As a disclaimer, I have only purchased oil from State Line, I havent dealt with their service department. I recently moved into a house that Im renting, and realized the oil tank was dangerously low. I called State Line Oil and spoke with RJ on the phone. He was very nice and answered all of my questions very comprehensively and patiently. To my delight, they were able to deliver oil to my house within two hours. RJ thoroughly explained the mechanisms by which their Auto Refill program works, and I agreed to enroll. According to my research, their prices are right where they should be for my county. I was dismayed to see all of the negative reviews for this company. If I find myself experiencing any similar issues, Ill certainly share them. All I can say at this point is "so far, so good."

They have no sense of urgency; Definite communication issues in their service department between the operator taking the call and their service techs; PRICES are totally out of control; They come for service unprepared and misinformed. I had a bad zone valve yesterday. It was stuck open and the furnace never stopped running. The heat reached 86 degrees last night. I finally got the heat reduced by shutting down the valve and turning off the thermostat. This valve assembly was suppose to be fixed 5 months ago. They had no record of the ticket for repair. It was working after the tech replaced the upper part of the assembly 5 months ago. They wouldnt send out another tech last night so we had to suffer until I solved the problem. Enough said. I will not be renewing any business with them again.

If I could give no stars I would. WARNING TO POTENTIAL AND CURRENT CUSTOMERS! Youre personal information is not safe with these people. My BF "supposedly" owed a couple hundred dollars on a bill from a few years back. No notices, phone calls, nothing on this to him, so he was not aware. His brother just happens to be a business client of theirs, and they had the nerve to tell him they were going to threaten my BF with filing a warrant against him. Not only that, they broke the Privacy Policy by giving my BFs personal information about that "bill" to his brother. His brother has no authority on that account. And still no proof of this old bill!! Im calling my Attorney General, the FTC and BBB today.

I called State Line today to get a quote on heating oil delivery. I am a new homeowner and I had a few questions but I pretty much knew what I was doing from calling other companies. The woman I spoke with was very rude and throughout the call. Despite the rudeness I decided on the phone that I would go with them. When I told her I wanted to schedule a delivery she said that she would need to take a lot of information from me but she was busy right now and that she would have to call me back. I waited about an hour and she did not call me back. I then went on to call Fusco Bros. in Windsor who signed me up right away and it took about 5 minutes. Sorry State Line. You will not get my business today.

A State Line driver stopped his giant truck in front of me right before my street on the right. This was just before the crest of a large hill. He had his right side blinker on and so I waited for him to turn. He got out of the truck and started screaming at me to go around. I told him that it would be dangerous because I cant see who is coming over that hill. I live there, I know how fast people come up over the hill. He just yells at me more telling me that he has to back up into a driveway on the left. Apparently his need to back up outweighs my right to not drive into a very dangerous situation. I would not want this company sending angry drivers without regard for the residents into my neighborhood.

We have been customers for nearly 10 years, and except for one miss on automatic delivery (which they corrected immediately), service has been fine. They installed a new furnace about six years ago; Currently we are changing from heating oil to natural gas. Because their conversion quote was in line with others we received, we are using them. This complicated project must be completed by August 1 and we trust that will happen. .

Called for an estimate on a garage heater figuring they would visit to estimate since I am only 5 miles away. A man told me that he didnt need to visit and asked me a series of questions to provide a phone quote apparently.I even shared my concern with their poor reviews and the man said thanks for telling me then proceeded to not call me back with my estimate and, ultimately, completely blew me off. Bad business!

Air Conditioner went out while we were on vacation. Called and they had Dave out the next day at 4pm. Very friendly, could tell he knew what needed to be done. Didnt talk down to me. Fixed it and went on his way. The lady who set it up wasnt overly friendly but her job isnt fun dealing with irate customers and the men and women workers trying to work out schedules etc. Very happy with the outcome!!

I have used State Line oil for years, and they have been servicing my furnace since installation. They refused to service my furnace (as they have every January) because I do not buy oil from them. As there oil price has always been constantly higher than everyone else (I call 10 oil companies for oil prices every fill up) I have never used State Line.
