if you plan on going for just a haircut, this place is fine, I did get a very good cut (Allie). It was the hair color that was a problem. I discussed the coloring during my first (haircut only) appointment and I was told it would be 70 dollars. She didnt explain any details, just 70 dollars for a coloring. So for my next appointment i got color done. I was concerned with the outcome of the color, and the charge also $130! But there were people waiting, so I paid and left. I got home and no one could tell I had had my hair colored at all- it looked the same as it had before. There was still grey hair throughout- it looked like it *needed* to be colored immeadiatly. I called the place the next day and told them I was unhappy- could they fix it as soon as possible? 2 weeks later was as soon as possible. The owner, I think, talked with me this time before anything else was done, just to verify what I actually wanted- even though I brought the same photo with me both times. She then told me I had 2 choices, either pay an additional $45 for the more work needed, or go somewhere else for a correction of my color. I was stunned, but wanted it fixed. I felt like if I left at that point it would be like flushing $130 down the toilet- so I agreed. When I got home, my daughter said my color looked much better. When I told her what happened, she said- that is terrible customer service- you have to warn people with a review. So thats why Im leaving this review. I think any salon worth anything wants return business by making sure their customers are happy. Miscommunications do happen, but make it right without adding insult to injury.

My family has used "A Perfect Image" for about 10 years now! When Sue first opened the business you could tell she was here to stay, she does a perfect job every single time! Sue has grown the business and now has employees who are also very friendly and knowledgeable! They have a welcoming and clean atmosphere and you know you are supporting a local, Colchester business owner when you go to "A Perfect Image"! I refer all of my friends and family here and recommend that you give them a try!

I have been coming here since they first opened. I have never had an ussue with my hair. Lately it has been more than a hassle to get in to get a haircut. There arent that many stylists/barbers, they dont stick around for long either. Sad to say that my 11+ years of coming here are done.

It was my first time taking my son there the other day. First it took 15 minutes to make an apt. Then there were issues when it came time to make a payment! Not very good customer service dont think Ill be going back!
