Im in my mid-twenties, and I have never colored my hair, but I KNEW I needed a change. On a whim, I called Gallery Salon and managed to get an appointment that very day! As soon as I entered the door, the staff-specifically Kevin at the front desk- was exceedingly welcoming, and my nerves of wanting a change were immediately calmed. I had an appointment with JLynn (which I was excited about after reading the below review!) and she managed to wade through my babbling about what I had envisioned for my hair (very natural, pretty highlights to give the illusion of thicker hair) and picked out the best color, advised on the best strategic placements to give me the end result I had envisioned, and was very supportive throughout. She asked if I wanted color "here" or "there" and I had to defer to her experience, and my results are phenomenal!! I honestly cant consider going anywhere else- she knew what would work for me and my hair/look, and was able to figure out what I wanted and gave me the PERFECT look. The pricing is better than at the mall (and the service is exponentially better- so I am confused by the negative review below...) and an overall better experience. I not only highly recommend the salon, and of COURSE JLynn, but I cannot wait to go back and try out all of their other services. A MUST!

Charleigh has, quite literally, changed the integrity of my hair. I came to Gallery with stringy, long, over-processed hair looking for a fix. The fix ended up being cutting off the dead, lifeless ends that I thought were length and starting again. A year later of better care, better color and help from Charleigh and my hair has grown in the thickest its ever been while still remaining my blonde-self. Her color skills and knowledge always help match what my visions are and her professional knowledge of hair is astounding. DO NOT HESITATE TO SWITCH IF YOU NEED HAIR HELP! I wish I switched years earlier. The Gallery Salon is clean, proficiently run and makes you feel special when you are there. You get smiles from other stylists, the owner, other lovely clients who compliment your hair and is just an overall nice place to be. The prices are not outrageous if your priority is top quality products, hair stylists and an overall excellent experience. They are always busy, which shows me their reputation proceeds them, and is the place you want to be seen.

I had my haircut today by JayLynn (Jamie Lynn, JLynn - just to clarify) and she is awesome! My friend is from the area and recommended Gallery Salon, and after getting hair cuts from two other girls, I found I liked JLynns the best. Ive gone back and had 3 haircuts with her so far, and my hair looked and felt great after each time. She really takes her time and its well worth it :) I would compare her to edward scissor hands (seriously, check our her colorful nails), but that is somewhat creepy. Anyway, I have never gone back to the same person to get a haircut (except my hair dresser where I grew up) sooo that should say something! Whoever commented on the prices below me (not to name any names..) is kind of ridiculous. $36 for a fabulous womens haircut is a great deal! Anyway, this is me professing my undying love for Jaylynn, the super friendly front desk staff, and my new haircut.Cant wait to come back! Rachel

Id live there if I could. Seriously, my first experience was a cut, color and style with Monika and it was better than I had hoped for. She really took the time and listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and then let me know what my best options were. Amazingly sweet and friendly also. Now, I have a great cut and my highlights are amazing! My second and third times were with Lisa, who I have had both the Signature Facial and a waxing session with. She is an expert at her craft and also has a very warm and friendly personality that puts you at ease. Also love the girls at the front desk - big, friendly smiles when you walk in every time. The price is comparable to other quality salons in CT, but I feel the vibe is so much better here.

Moving to a new area, I was determined to find a new salon and hairdresser that understood my needs, but also offered a wonderful atmosphere. Gallery Salon is exactly that! Ive been seeing Jlynn for maybe 1.5 years now and shes awesome. Our personalities click and she is a great hairdresser who understands what my vision is for my hair during each appointment. One of the receptionists is also great and remembers me by name every time Im in. Great service is hard to find nowadays and Im glad to have found Gallery. The salon is always clean and has a nice set up keeping everything segregated as far as hair, make up and waxing. Ive also seen Amy for my waxing and she is a brow queen! Thank you thank you!

Thinking of getting a new style? Gallery Salon is ALWAYS available to help create that perfect look. I recently went and saw Gino and he was like Edward Scissorhands.. Created something SO refreshing, cut 10" off my thick haired head. Its amazing the compliments I have received from my new look. My face is happier too! Dont forget to book the special scalp massage and shampoo.. you wont regret it.. Quiet room with ambient lights that change colors, relaxing music and a scalp massage and hand massage with a shampoo and conditioner.. It was FABULOUS.. I cant wait to book my next appointment with Gino and do some root touch ups and some Balyage.. Gallery Salon has everything you need and more!

Every time I have my hair cut & styled it is always a treat. The ladies @ the reception area are warm, courteous and professional. You can tell that they really love their jobs. My experience with my very experienced hairdresser is always wonderful. He understands the look that I am trying to achieve with styling and hair color. He has been in this career for several years. You can tell that he loves and embodies his career. He cares and always tries to achieve the results that I prefer. The salon is very clean and tidy. All the stylists are professional and gracious. I love the Gallery Salon and will continue to go there and to recommend my friends to this fabulous salon.

Since I found Gallery Salon, I wont go anywhere else! The owner, Gino, is really talented (and very funny!). I prefer to have him cut my hair, but, Ive had other stylists that hes trained cut my hair, too. People often ask me where I get my hair done! I buy the products they use there and my hair looks great between cuts. Everything about the salon is professional. Other reviewers that complained about the prices were probably used to going to Super Cuts for $5 and dont know a good haircut from the bad ones theyve had! The prices arent secret! I find the prices competetive and the services extraordinary....and, Im not being paid for my review!

I have been going to Gallery Salon for 19 years and I can honestly say there is no better salon out there. Not only is the environment very professional, but the stylists are at the top of their game. I love that they continue to receive education in their trade to stay up with the current trends, but mostly that they have your best interests at heart. I receive color from Elizabeth, haircuts from Leslie, and eyebrow arch from Amy, and I LOVE them all. The front desk staff does an amazing job at communicating with the clients and always make their best efforts to make appointments convenient with my busy life! I will never go anywhere else :)
