Saved me 1,000$! Honest and polite after management change fewyears ago. If you read anything about this place from long ago, its all true. We went there before management change to fix breaks on novelty car. they claimed to have fixed it but rotten break lines snapped and dragged on the ground the next day. I never wanted to go back but they were certified emissions testers and my husband said "they are under new management" and they cant mess up emissions test, right? Well, they were so polite and courteous to me I came back for an oil change, which went without a problem and with same courtesy and speed. I kept coming back for minor things until one day my used Jaguar started overheating. My husband said it was a coolant bubble which is why I took that car to them instead of looking for some other place. When they called me to say it was a 1,200$ part (cooling fan) that wasnt turning on, (and another 300$ for labor) I second guessed and researched everything and blamed the (used) Jaguar for being so expensive to fix. However when I spoke to them next time, they said "we took the part out to replace it, but noticed it had some corrosion on it. So we cleaned that off, put it back in, and it works fine. 53$ total please!" Amazing work and honesty! under current management, these guys are the rare thing: competent mechanics that you can trust when they say something! (at least, they are now in 2016 under current management )

I brought my car to have an oil change done that included free tire rotation, fluids topped off, safety check and my battery tested. When I got back in my car I noticed my windshield light went on in my car so I pulled over and checked the fluid to see it wasnt filled. After doing so I checked my tires to see they werent rotated. So I called the store back and spoke to Jeff in doing so I spoke to him and told him what was going on due to the fact I just left he informed me that the guy must have forgot and that the tires had more tread on the back. So I go well they werent switched around at all. He told me to bring the car back. What Im upset about is that I had to do this and I wasnt asked about the tires before I left or informed of this at check out. Back here now and Jeff is currently working on my car which Im thankfull for. But had I not been paying attention this stuff wouldnt have gotten done even though this is what they do. This is their craft and to many things werent done I was also never told what the safety check came up with. Over all I wont come back here Ill take my business else where and pay the extra money to have it done right. Again they are doing this now but if the time was taking to do the job right the first time I wouldnt be writing this. Sorry guys auto service experts like it says on the sign is what I was expecting.

I once went there about two years ago because my exhaust pipe was broken. At that time when they told me the problem, I was like "maybe because the car is simply getting old and such pieces breaks at some point and Im just bad luck" (my car was first bought by previous owner in 97 and I only got it for a few months at that time) so I changed it and they charged me for over $400. However, only two years later now the pipe was broken again. Of course its possible that its been really worn out, but my previous owners kept all the maintenance records very carefully when they transferred the car to me and there was no single record of this pipe for all those 12 or 13 years before I bought it. So Im really being skeptical about the previous replacement of this pipe. Im not sure if they replaced it with a high quality one but still charged me that much. Besides this, their general services are not that impressive either, although they are always polite and nice to their customers.

Went in for a new muffler...after it was done I drove it back home and the under carriage was making a horrible sound. I took it to another Midas that was closer to my home...the guy asked where I had the muffler done and then laughed. He said those guys dont know what the hell they are doing....and that was another Midas employee saying that. They attached the muffler incorrectly and it was shaking all over the place. Seriously, how can you mess up a muffler? Told the Farmington guys they fd up and it had to take it somewhere and waste 1.5 hours so they could fix it right...I spoke to the manager and the owner...they wanted to give me a free oil change. I told them I dont trust them to put air in a tire and to keep their oil change. Had a previous bad experience there too and thought it was a fluke. Take you car here to have them break it.

The guy working the shop seems ok...but its a facade. The mechanic does not know what hes doing. I had squeaky noise from the rear everytime I pressed the brakes. They told me both rear brakes need to be replaced. Cost me $240. Then the noise was still there. Quite upset and disappointing. A year and half later, the noise kept getting worse and louder. Two years later now....I went to an honest mechanic at Meineke...they told me it was the Left rear hub bearing and not the brakes. Got it fixed. No problems. $400. What out for these guys...theyre praying and relying on the affluent folks of Farmington and surrounding areas.

I have used this Midas for my regular maintenance needs for the past four years and have been extremely pleased. The current manager, Jack, goes above and beyond the call every time I have a repair need. He beats any other price I can find, and is very fair with estimates and labor. He brings me into the garage and actually shows me what needs to be done and why, so I understand it. Hes even told me to call him if I ever have a question about what ANOTHER service vendor tells me I need done. Could not recommend this Midas more highly.

I drove to Farmington from Norwalk and my breaks started making grinding noise. I Googled the closest shop to my location and found Midas, so I gave them a quick call to see if they can check my car. They were so helpful and professional, showed me the problem and told me they can fix it in an hour. The price was good and their service was exceptional. It is scary when going to a random mechanic especially far from home but I recommend them 100% to everyone! Thank you guys!

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation, the mechanics recommended I balance my tires so I got that done and they found a nail in one of my tires which they removed and patched for free! The manager, Jeff, was very polite and the mechanics seem to know what theyre doing, I will be taking my car here for any maintenance and recommend them to all of my friends.
