I do not recommend this as many folks are facing same problem.. Pro: People are polite, gym is good for my standard as I am not body builder. Cons: They are greedy, untrustworthy, false explanation about contract, look for opportunity to take money from your account, they pretend like they are helpless and computer is the one who decides everything in gym, Morons!!!! I had unpleasant experience in cardio express today. 1. I was told by one of your associate that my contract will be closed automatically after 12 months and then I have to come in person to gym to renew my membership. But I was explained differently today as Cardio express will add one more month at the time of cancel. I was supposed to cancel my membership after 11 months. So they have charged 2 more month bill and I had paid today. Your associate has given me false explanation about contract and later I had to pay one more month charge for no reason. Moreover I am not using gym at all for last 6-8 months. 2. I received message to my cell regarding past due today. I had autopay setup so amount used to be debited 16th & 28th of every month for me and my wife. I received email stated it is going to pay collection and then later I received nearly 8-10 emails stated there was technical glitch, my account outstanding is perfect. But Cardio charged me $10 as late fee.. They made me to feel like fool as nothing can be done. It is ridiculous to charge me late fee when there is technical glitch in your system.. 3. they dont have signed form of mine as I wanted to go thru my contract.!!!!

Terrible customer service. Hidden Charges. False advertisement, where they say the rate is a certain price and then charge you more fees that werent on the adds. They are shysters. Hot, stinky facility. The carpets have stains, there are holes in the walls. They closed down for a week and told all Manchester members to go to the Vernon branch. Did I mention they are over crowded? and they expected Vernon to accept double capacity? I asked customer service if they could tack on a week for my prepaid membership since I paid for services that I did not recieve for the week they were closed. They pulled some "its in the rules BS and we cant give you a replacement/refund". I felt that they shystered each member out of $5ish for that week. Its not even about the $5, its about the principal. Awful place. Drive the extra minutes to go somewhere else. Tons of machines are broken. Bathrooms smell awful. Pay the extra money to have respect from someone you are paying your money to. Only reason I gave it a 40% was because the place has work out equipment, and because it has tvs on all the cardio equipment. And to Christopher- the staff are like robots. Have you ever walked out of the place and then right back in. They will say "hi how are you doing today?" again. They are like automated robots. Try and have a conversation with any of them, I am sure it will tick them off. To Josh- LA fitness is a rip off, but it is not literally a hole-in-the-wall like Cr*p Express.

For $10 bucks a month, I cant really complain too much. But recently this gym has begin to stink, and I mean literally Stink. The ab room smells as if mildew is growing on the floor and I dont see the staff doing anything about it. Today I informed the staff of the stench and thought that maybe they would bring out a vacuum and deodorizer or something, but after being there for more than hour after telling them, still nothing was done. I understand people sweat and BO may stink, but there is no reason why the smell has to linger throughout the whole facility. Even through the window, I feel they should be venting old air with new, somehow someway. TVs on the Cardio equipment great Spinning classes for those who afford it,- bring ear plugs, you will be deaf by the time you finish Oh and I understand that they put signs up all over the place reminding people to wipe down equipment, but if an employee walks by a person who finished using equipment and didnt wipe it down, feel free to say something to them. Thats the only way you can expect any change. Even as a member of the gym, I have no issue asking others to wipe down the equipment, if they being to walk away. Its disgusting and Im sure the health department would love to do a walk through to check up on all this.

Yeah, $10 a month. RIGHT! First they get you for an initial fee $60 or so, then another $25 fee for something else. Then they add the tax so after the first $100 it is $10.61 a month....until the next year when they get you for a $40 yearly fee. That is 4 months worth. And I love the "classes" open to all. Some you need to take as a beginner first, so you cant take them all. And, heres the best part. If you want a class, you have to sign up EXACTLY a week in advance...... but if you wait until, SAY 8 OR 9 am to sign up for a class EXACTLY 7 days hence, (cant do 8 days later or 3 days later, must be exactly 7), it is too late!!!!!!!!!!!. SIGN-UP STARTS AT MIDNIGHT. So, set your alarm to get up about 3 AM to sign up for a class the following week EXACTLY 7 DAYS next week. As for the personal training, I set an appointment a week before, waited 15 minutes because he was late, then another 10 for him to talk with the bosses behind closed doors, and then he deigned to take exactly 7 minutes to show me how to work 3 machines....... because he had a class he was running off to to teach (which everyone had signed up for EXACTLY 7 days previously between midnight and 4 AM. ) Yeah. Great concept. I bought myself a rowing machine. Thanks anyway CardioXed out. Joyce

I love this gym. It is a very chilled out atmosphere. Every time I am there, there is a staff member wiping down and dusting the machines. The locker rooms and workout area are very clean. I have been using the facility in East Hartford for the past few months and recently started coming back to the Manchester location. I noticed that several machines had been reupholstered and had new handles put on them. The staff has always been friendly and helping. I canceled my membership for a few months age and when I did it was a painless process. I signed the electronic pad and the gym membership was canceled. They did not hold my credit card information hostage and keep on charging dues like other local chains. I rejoined because there really isnt a better gym chain in central CT. This gym is exactly what a gym should be.

They dont care about keeping members all. The mens locker room is a pit, staff is rude and lazy. Machines stay broken for weeks. And when I left bad review here on Google a female staff member treated me with violence. I told staff member Thai I would defend myself, then have her arrested and Sue her and the gym. Also tod staff member I recorded entire incedent. Told gym management about altercation and they Laffed and told owners as well and the did nothing except cancel my membership even though she was the one to make threats. Needless to say I am currently suing the cardio express chain and staff member for slander.
