I had a terrible experience this past Saturday. My first visit. Appointment at 12pm and I arrived 5 min earlier. But until 12:35pm still no one came for me. I asked the receptionist, and someone who I saw cleaning up the floors came to me said he will wash my hair to get me ready. He has a really heave hand and sharp nails, my scalp hurt until the next day, and he just can not adjust the water temp (it is boiling hot). After my hair finally washed, he let me sit there with wet hair and said someone will be w me shortly. I sat for around 15 min, now water running all over me. I finally went up to the receptionist again, and asked when is my turn. The same young man came back to me and said he will cut my hair. I was horrified and protested that I had an appointment with another person (a lady); and he confronted me with what is wrong with me doing it? and do you want to leave (I actually can not with all my wet hair). Eventually he backed down and another lady came up, cut my hair. It was about 2pm when I finally stepped out. I will never ever go back again. This is the worst I ever had at a hair salon. Not sure whether they just treat their new customer like this or what. Terrible. Just saw another yelp review on this place that they got closed down for sometime by health department. Now I really worried about those sharp nails ...

Hands down, this is the best salon quality I have ever had. I moved here about 14 months ago, and usually come in every 4wks. This salon is busy, schedule 3 to 5 wks ahead. I usually go on a Tuesday, not as busy as other days, nails on Friday or Saturday. The pricing is good for salon services, I dont feel it is too high. Check ahead for your preference. I see Phil for my cut, hes an artist with my natural curly thick hair, best haircut by far ever. Alicia is fantastic with color, highlights, and has an awesome eye for creating the best looking eyebrows I have ever had. Denise does the best gel polish nails, perfect shape, have lasted easily over 2 wks without any wear marks. Re. another review-I have had the same young man wash my hair 2 or 3 times. No problems at all, he does a good job. Good conversation, thorough, ask questions, conditions my hair well (its curly lol), etc. He does hair as well, but helps in other areas when they are busy. Any time the water is too hot, etc., youve got to bring it to their attention. They usually ask, but people are different in what they like, and they are happy to accommodate. Thanks to 3 awesome people, I wish I wasnt moving again, lol. Best of luck in the future :)

Theresa at Andre Phillips has been doing my hair for years! I cant say enough wonderful things about her and the salon. She has cut, colored, foiled ... and most recently ... done the keratin straightening treatment to my hair. I am in love with my hair once again! I typically dread the summer frizzies ... and all of the time I spent on drying it and using a flat iron to try to straighten it. But since the wonderful keratin treatment, I have no frizzies! Its so easy to take care of and saves me so much time in the morning. I can even let my hair dry naturally now and it looks great! Many people have remarked about how nice my hair looks and I owe it all to Theresa and Andre Phillips. Thank you so much!

Ive been to way too many Salons trying to find the right one. I used to get my hair done in NYC and I have to say the best cut and color I ever had was at Andre Phillips. I get my hair cut with Phil and hes amazing!! My hair hasnt looked this good in a very long time. I have baby fine curly hair and hes the only one who knows how to cut it. I absolutly love my hair now. I also get color from Theresa and shes also amazing. The price of a cut and color is the same price I used to pay for a cut in NYC. The prices are great, the service is great and the people at the Salon are wonderful. Phil and Theresa are incredably nice. I wouldnt go any where else!!! Love them!!!

Phil has been cutting my hair for 6 years. He is very honest about everything and completely up front. He always listens to me but gives his opinion on what he thinks will look best. I would recommend Phil and anyone in the Salon, because if Phil trusts them, so do I. Brooke and Courtney are also awesome, they have both styled my hair after a cut.

No matter who does your hair, It always comes out looking perfect and your hair will always look like it was done by a true professional. I have been going to Phillip for my hair cut and Sara for my color and foil for over 3 years. I am always getting compliments on my hair color and style by friends and strangers alike. All the people who work in the Salon are friendly and the atmosphere is fun. I have recommended them to others and they are thrilled that I did.

Teresa has been cutting & coloring my hair for a year now, I will never go anywhere else. She is as good or better than any of the pricey boutique salons I used to go to in Stamford & Greenwich, at a much lower price! She got me through the long process of growing out a pixie cut, and I get many compliments on the highlights.

Theresa is amazing!!! I was referred to her by another client and Im so happy I switched stylists. She works wonders and brought my hair back to life! I love the volume in my hair! I rarely have to tease it now.
