My car was repaired at AC auto shop when my insurance company paid ~$8,000 to fix it, couple months later I discovered that the anti-freeze tank was getting empty very frequently. I brought my car back to AC for them to inspected, they told me that my car was driver without antifreeze thus I over heat the car and it needs to replace the head gasket. The work would cost my $600, he refused to submit a supplement claim and I would need to pay out of packet. I questioned Mr Anthony how can the head gasket been bad if the car NEVER showed any sign of been over heat and the thermostat NEVER mark in the red. I told him if the head gasket was bad is because he did not replace the radiator properly. By asking questions, Mr Anthony got really aggravated, rude, had a bad attitude and hung up in my face after he told me to remove my car from his parking lot asap. I was shocked how can a business owner treat customers with this attitude after I spend thousands of dollars at his shop, really!!!. I dont understand how can he been in business for so long. Next day, I brought my car to a different mechanic, he tested my head gasket and results showed nothing was wrong. He told me I would noticed how the car runs if the head gasket was bad. The car was completely fine. Then my mechanic discovered that the hole connecting to the radiator was loss causing the antifreeze to link. He charged me $40 to replaced the hole and to run couple of tests. He told me my car is completely fine. Really Mr. Anthony!!!!!! Tom is right, please avoid these criminals at all cost, and save yourself time, money and aggravation. Mr. Anthony is very aggressive, rude and disrespectful. I am so happy I did not argue with me.

I paid them $3K for engine repair in 2007. It took them 2 weeks to get it done instead of 1 week, they charged me more than they estimated, and when I finally got my car it wouldnt go uphill b/c of lack of power. Someone who later bought this car from me took it to the real car mechanic, and what he discovered is that the timing belt was off. It took him maybe 1hr to get it right, so the buyer of my almost "dead" car was so happy because the car was up and running again! These clowns at AC auto body actually knew the timing belt was off, so to fix it they would have to take it apart again. So instead of putting extra 1hr in 2-week repair they simply tilted the engine mount real quick so that it would be approximately OK. Dishonest and unprofessional. Their labor charges are 2x higher than normal, and their owner wont talk to you to resolve issues. They dont care after you have paid them, or got your car on their lot. Few reviewers mentioned Anthony dealing with them (is he the owner?) Anthony is a liar. 4 years later I still remember his name.

NEVER use this Auto Body repair shop. I recently got into a car accident where my radiator was totaled. Once I got into the accident, I shut off my car and gave their tow driver my keys. The car was then towed to this Auto Body shop. After three weeks of the Auto Body shop, they reveal to us that there is also a broken head gasket. The only way to blow a head gasket is to drive the car after the fact. I have a police report, eyewitnesses (that include fire fighters, police officers, a navy seal) and photographs of the incident that can all prove I didnt drive after the accident. When I confronted them about this, they were EXTREMELY condescending. They stated that they didnt drive it. When I asked them what proof they had to offer to prove this, they said they had none. So, in their care, they had damaged my car even further. PLEASE do not utilize this auto body. They are condescending, they are unethical and they do NOT know what they are doing when it comes to auto body repair.

This is by far the WORST, MOST UNETHICAL shop I have ever dealt with. Two weeks ago my daughter was in a small fender bender on her way back from Boston. Although the accident was very minor her radiator was damaged,her coolant leaked out and her car had to be towed. AC Auto Body was dispatched to the scene and towed the car to their shop. TWO WEEKS later and still the car is not fixed. At first they presented us with an astronomical repair estimate but because we live in NJ and the car was in CT we agreed. TWO WEEKS later we are told now that the head gasket is blown. The only way that head gasket blew is if they were driving that car without refilling the fluid. I am actively investigating moving the car to a RESPECTABLE repair shop and filing charges against AC Auto Body. Please oh please if you have the unfortunate situation arise and your vehicle is towed to this facility pay thje extra money to tow it somewhere else!!!!!

This place is a scam... AAA should drop them as a provider. Do not let AAA send them to you if you are broken down near New Canaan, CT. They are opportunist taking advantage of people. This is our experience...We had a truck towed by AAA. Transmission seemed to be slipping.The driver talked us into taking it back to his shop and they would let me know what the problem was. After several back and forth on the phone they finally told us we needed a new $4,000.00 transmission. We declined so they charged us for storage fees and diagnostic fees. We would not normally have a problem with this except... They sat on the truck for 5 days. and misdiagnosed it. It does not need a new transmission. Gps tracking system on the truck never indicated any movement or testing performed.

In the middle of heavy holiday traffic my family and I were travelling through CT and our car broke down on the highway. We were "rescued" by a tow truck driver working for AC Auto Body & Mechanical Service Inc. The next day we received a call that our car had been repaired. We had already been distraught by the sudden nature of our disabled vehicle on a holiday, but were greeted by friendly mechanics. In addition, being from out of state, we were happy to feel that the pricing was fair for the work that was done and that all of the work was necessary to the repair of the vehicle.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a tow yard. When my car was brought into AC after an accident, I discovered that the center console and glovebox had been completely emptied and several items were missing (GPS, Wifi Hotspot, etc.). When approached about the subject, the owner (Anthony) and several of the goons working there became very aggressive and threatened me with tire irons in hand. Long story short, you should avoid these criminals at all costs and save yourself the time, money and aggravation.

My car broke down driving through New Canaan and ac auto towed me back to their shop on main street My radiator was cracked and leaked all the coolant. They replaced my radiator and saved me from over heating my engine . while i was there they pointed out short cuts my old mechanic took. they showed me where my previous mechanic just cut the rotors as oppose to replacing them.Needless to say i will never go back to my old mechanic and I am grateful to have a found a trustworthy and respectable place to bring my car to.
