I brought two of my vehicles to Georgetown auto body for leak-related repairs basically at the same time. It was just an awful experience. Expensive work was done without authorization. Telephone calls went unreturned for days. The repairs did not fix all of the problems. Then, to top it all off, we noticed damage to the interior of one of the vehicles after we brought it home. The damage was in the area that was being worked on. I called Patrick Venus and told him about the damage and all of the other issues that we had experienced. Mr. Venus basically accused us of lying about the damage caused by his employees. It was only when I filed a complaint with the DMV that he offered to fix the damage and became somewhat apologetic. However, he ultimately refused to pay for the damage. I never write poor reviews, but this was a terrible experience. In response to Mr. Venuss reply to my earlier review: It is interesting that you apologized to me profusely over the telephone for performing work without authorization while now denying it in this public forum. It is also interesting that you now state, in substance, that leaks are difficult to diagnose and repair and that leaks are outside of your businesss purview, considering that I was never told this prior to or after giving you well over one thousand dollars for what you assured us were repairs that were done correctly. None of this is surprising though, unfortunately. As for the damage that we noticed inside of the Acura after it had been at your shop, it was exactly in the area on which you claimed to have worked (as opposed to what you stated in your response here). You told us that the sunroof was leaking and repairs were made prior to collecting money from us. The damage that we noticed after bringing the vehicle to you was on an interior side panel directly next to the sunroof. How exactly is that not in the area that you told us was repaired? Perhaps implying that a customer is a liar is not exactly in keeping with your stated view in this public forum that "the customer is always right." My response is merely to set the record straight. I was taken advantage of and was dealt with in a very rude manner. As for your supposed offers to repair the damage caused by your garage to the Acura, at that point, I did not want your garage working on my car anymore because of quality issues and the way you personally dealt with me. I asked you merely to pay the cost of repairs at another garage. I even got an estimate from another garage. You refused to do so and said you only wanted to repair it yourself. Thats where it was left by you, and I was left with one leaking vehicle and one damaged vehicle. At the end of the day, its not the money as much as it is the principle Mr. Venus.

Georgetown Auto Body is exactly what you want when dealing with repairing your vehicle. If you love your car, youll love them. Dont you want someone who does what they say they will do, when they say they will do it, how they say they will do it, and stands behind their work? We have been both unfortunate (to have people hit our cars) and fortunate to have had Georgetown do the repairs. They have done work on my Wifes Audi Q7, my Audi S8, and my Daughters Audi S5. Now, I am a car guy and grew up around a close family friend who owned a body shop and restored my first car, a 72 Chevelle SS that I still own to this day. Everyone knows and always tells you that once a car has been hit, it will never be the same... I have to tell you, I am a royal pain in the butt and have an extremely critical eye. Looking at the work they have done on all our vehicles, I would never know they had been hit. If anything, they look better than they were before they were hit. We have been using Georgetown Auto Body for many years. Even after leaving Ridgefield and moving to Danbury after the kids headed to college we continue to travel back to Ridgefield to use Danbury Auto Body whenever we need body repairs. From our Jeep Cherokees to our Audis, they have done exceptional work over the years. Pat and Kelly are kind, professional, and always do exactly what they say they will do. On time and an Budget. Great people running a great little business.

Great experience at Georgetown Auto Body. Pat had an estimate for me in minutes. He got my car in right away for repairs. It was in the shop for the amount of time he said it would be and for the exact amount of our estimate. The color match was flawless. Highly recommended
