Very hesitant to write this review. If anything Im more upset over the lack of communication. Seem like nice guys, and most reviews are positive. Dropped my car off to have brakes bled, usually do this simple work myself but found out online a scan tool was needed. Picked the car up and drove home. Super close to my house, which is very convenient. Was under the car over the weekend after to do some other work, and noticed the rear bleeder screws were never even touched. Brakes cant be bled properly without loosening the bleeder screws. I called on Monday to inquire, the gentleman was pretty defensive and told me they were too rusted, and he didnt want to chance breaking them, and he bled them another way. I would have preferred to be told all this up front when i picked the car up. He was annoyed I questioned whether he did the work requested, which is understandable. Unfortunately there is no other correct way to bleed (that i am or online is aware of) without using the bleeder screws, so i was def fed some false information.

BUYER BEWARE! I hate writing negative reviews, but I have concerns about these guys. I got their mailer with oil change specials. Since I live 2 minutes away, I was hoping they could become my new, much more convenient mechanic. Oil changes were fine, although they noted recommended services that I didnt think were valid. Still, I needed a couple of repairs, so I got estimates from them. Both were absolutely crazy! For instance, they quoted me $700 to replace a thermostat on a VW Touareg. Seemed high to me, called around, and was told the book time was 1.2 hrs, part was $85 and $30 for G13 coolant. I paid $265 with tax. My advice: call around and get a couple of quotes before you let any mechanic make a repair.

Unfortunately for my net worth, my Beemer has been serviced at 5 Dealers in the Tri-State area, as I moved around. Tenafly NJ, Ramsay NJ, Greenwich, Bridgeport and lastly Ridgefield. Theres a reason why dealerships in general have been referred to as: (Stealerships). Ridgefield took care of my car, until I caught them recommending a part replacement which wasnt needed at all! Forensic Auto Repairs. I took my car to an Independent garage in North Stamford, and a simple adjustment of one of the cars computers, was done and successful, mind you without a charge. I get to spend the $850 saved on a new car next year. (Or the next BMW repair) The Independent shop is M&J Automotive,Stamford. Speak with Patrick.

My Fiance and I were in CT visiting family. While in CT my BMW was giving me some trouble. My cousin who lives in CT recommended M&J Automotive. He told us that in this shop the workers are experts with BMWs. That I would not be disappointed. He was right! Took my car in on a Friday. I dont know if they already had the parts my car needed in stock or if their part services are fast. Either way i got my car back the very next day. The best part was the price. Very affordable and quick.

I have known Jose for over 20 years. While we operate our automotive businesses from different towns, I can personally attest to his skill and personal knowledge. He has on many occasions helped me out with a difficult problem. Good luck Jose and Patrick, I wish you both a world of success. Stephen Gaeta C&H Automotive and Towing New Canaan CT
