Having just read the previous two poor reviews, I felt I had to speak up on McIntyres behalf. In my experience, the McIntyre Group is a wonderful staffing agency for its professional conduct, continued support and follow-ups and their success in getting me great interviews. I graduated from university last year but I have used McIntyres services for the past few years. Every time that I have looked for employment, McIntyre was there finding me great interviews. When I had absolutely no corporate work experience, they found me interviews. After I added a series of professional successes and after graduating, I still use their services. Ive gotten an offer from almost every interview Ive gone to through McIntyre. Sometimes, I take the job, sometimes I dont but one thing I can say for sure is that the interviews they have set me up for have consistently been in the upper echelon of companies in the Stamford/Norwalk area. In that respect, I consider McIntyre a must-use staffing agency because they really do have an eye on all the big companies around this area (Fairfield County). My experience of working with McIntyre has been great. Years ago, when I first walked in for an initial client interview, we talked about goals, career history and skills. Then I took the computerized office tests on things like typing and excel knowledge. The building right off the Merritt Parkway in Norwalk was very easy to get to and compared to some of the other agencies Ive met with in the area, it has a very solid professional look. This may not matter to you, but when you go into a place that is supposed to represent you to future employers, you want that crisp professional atmosphere (as opposed to one place I went to that was in a basement and smelled like mildew, seriously!). Going forward, my experience with staffing agencies is that its always tough to get someone on the phone right away. Typically, youll either get voicemail or a forwarding person who will connect you with your agent. I havent worked with any staffing agencies where this hasnt been the case. However, unlike many other staffing agencies Ive used, my rep in McIntyre is amazing at following up. If she misses the call, shell call me back that day, the next at the latest. When we havent talked in a while, she calls or emails to see how Im doing, where I am, etc. Thanks Sarah! I think with any staffing agency, the important thing is how you feel when you meet them and do they get results? Do you feel like they honestly have your interests at heart or only theirs? I have complete confidence in the various agents Ive worked with in McIntyre and they have absolutely delivered in every way possible. I know times are stressful right now, but knowing that reliable people are out there looking for prospects for me (should/when I decide to move up) makes all the difference. The way I put it to friends of mine who I have referred here, "If you are looking for a job, what do you have to lose?"

One of the most unprofessional staffing firms I have EVER worked with. I normally do not write negative reviews because I dont believe in bad mouthing...BUT I am personally taking the time to write this as I do not want to see anyone else waste their time, turn down job offers from other companies because you waited for the Mcintyre group, and most importantly get burned by the HORRIBLE recruiters. Yes, the building and office looks beautiful but DO NOT BE FOOLED...dont drink the cool-aid. Last year, when they contacted me, I was looking for work and at the time, had 2 job offers from 2 good companies....got a call from Phoenix Kovacs and I figured it couldnt hurt to see what they had to say before I took 1 of the offers..I even explained to her that I had other offers on the table and this unprofessional con artist told me to wait until I spoke to her.... So I went down, met with her, and believe it or not, I actually was interested in the 2 positions. So after she screened/looked at my resume, she basically guaranteed I would get 1 of the jobs and even gave me advice on how to turn down the other offers...BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. Lets just say I was out of work for another month, she NEVER returned any of my phone calls about the 2 jobs, and never responded to my emails. I mean I was following up almost every day about the positions as I had to put food on the table for my kids...a month later out of the blue, I called her and actually got her on the phone and she said "We already filled the jobs with other candidates...sorry." Ok...I understand other ppl may be more qualified but have the respect to TELL ME and RETURN MY CALLS! After that horrible experience I ended up going through a different staffing agency in Stamford and they found me an excellent position. Bottom line, STAY CLEAR bc this company or should I say recruiter lied, mislead me, and totally wasted my time. I am a very clean cut, professional, and an extremely hardworking individual and I would rather stand on the side of the street and beg for $$ then work with the Mcintyre group again. ****Almost forgot...Kelly DeMassi totally blew me off as well when I spoke to her about perm work...same thing, never returned calls or emails..********

DO NOT RECOMMEND I joined with McIntyre in the winter of 2011. My first job offer from them came in late March 2012 for a temp assignment in Stamford. It was okay money, $13/hr for 37.5hr/wk in Stamford. I worked there for most of April until I called out sick on a Thursday because I had come down with a virus. I received multiple calls from McIntyre asking where I was, even though I had left two messages with the employer stating I was not going to make it in that day. They said OK and to feel better. The next morning I was not better and was in no condition to go back into an office, let alone leave my bed. I received a call from McIntyre stating that the employer did not need me anymore. I probably should have just gone into the office with my sickness to keep my job. The second offer came mid-August 2012 for a temp-to-permanent assignment in the next town over for $15/hr for 40hrs/wk. I was already working but this assignment was guaranteed through December and paid more so I interviewed for it. They decided to hire me. Both McIntyre and this employer were adamant that this assignment was guaranteed through December with the possibility of permanency. I give my employer my notice and began the assignment following week on Monday with another temp worker. All went was going well until Friday when I received a call from my agent at McIntyre, J.F., that the employer didnt need the temps any longer. I said there must be a mistake because all was going well at the employer and were still making plans for me to meet people within the company. J.F. said no, theres no mistake and gave no explanation why I wasnt needed anymore. So, I quit my job and lost my other one within 6 days of each other. McIntyre employees are incompetent and unprofessional, to say the least. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND using McIntyre. I agree with the other poor ratings on here and am not surprised their score has dropped within the past year. STAY AWAY.
