Okay Lloyd, come on now...if youre going to have people write reviews for you to counter the bad reviews that Barbara Cohen has caused for your firm, at least space them out rather than having them all pop up on the same day or week. Id like to add that at least 2 of the people that wrote such glowing reviews for Lloyd staffing have not actually been placed by them as temp employees, or have ever worked for the company itself. Barbara Cohens negative reviews are rightfully earned here...like previous reviewers, I had a terrible experience working with her and her condescending attitude. She is the reason that I severed all ties with Lloyd Staffing, after having been doing temp work with them for 2 years while working toward my Masters Degree (to which Barbara told me I was wasting my time on...VERY similar to the previous reviewers). The recruiter i was working with for that time had left I believe, and I was assigned to Barbara. I only needed to speak with her for 5 minutes before I got up to leave, disgusted by her attitude and uncalled for statements about my work history and education. I immediately severed all ties with Lloyd and found better placement through Adecco. Dont deal with Lloyd, but if you have no other choice, do not deal with Barbara.

When I came home for the summer after my first year in college in 2009, I thought I was completely unhireable due to the limited time that I would be spending back in my home town on Long Island. I contacted the LLoyd Staffing temp center and within that week, I was already working. I was amazed at not only how amazingly kind and receptive they were when I called, but how consistently dedicated theyve been to keep me trained and employed. Four years later, I am finishing an advanced degree, and STILL happily employed as a temp with LLoyd Staffing. I have learned valuable skills and lessons from each assignment that I have received over the years, and Im looking forward to translating my professional experience to the next step in my career. I am sincerely appreciative of all of the opportunities that LLoyd has created for me. I rarely sit down to write a review, positive or negative. In this particular instance I felt it was important to express the experience I had at Lloyd Staffing, Melville, NY office. From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted by a friendly and gracious woman at the front desk, Gail. My experience from that point on was noteworthy to write about. The recruiters, Barbara Cohen-Farber and Joanne Cossentino were both professional and personable. I have interviewed at various staffing agencies in Manhattan and I have to say that I never thought that I would have such a positive experience at a staffing agency in Long Island, but I did. Kudos to the personnel at Lloyd Staffing in Melville.

They were great at first, but then u could tell it became all about the money(for them) I was never late or absent but the ONE day I had to miss to make sure my healthcare was in order, since they claim they dont provide it but says otherwise in their introduction books, they let me go after asking if I can "do it on my own time" but I was working 8-5 M-F so how was that possible? They didnt care or should I say Dot didnt care even tho other co workers missed weeks on end I was punished or laid off for missing a day go to them at your own risk, but Ive had better!

Worst staffing company ever, they dont hire or help entry level people. Girl name Susan asked first that they have client need help desk and then she ask me about my current job after that she told me she will call me and I didnt got back from her. This company is so mean and try to looking for the people who already have 5 yrs experience. Its better to fine jobs on websites like career builder, indeed, glassdoor and others.
