A must if you are looking for a terrific regional agency! I was skeptical about the ability of a smaller firm. Big mistake! They have been remarkable in presenting roles, quick in responding to my queries and concerns, and extremely helpful. Erica recruited me and I only regret not considering Excel Partners sooner. The attention and diligence they devote to the person-job-culture fit is a unlike any Ive experienced. National firms seem too focused on quantity of placements, rather than quality. Excel has proven dedicated to the appropriateness of the talent to the job, and the Client. And, Ive heard nothing but good things about Excel, from the Clients Ive spoken to, and that is why Excel has such a great reputation, in the region. The team at Excel Partners gets it. They take into account hard and soft skills, in placements. I was once presented with a role that just did not seem sustainable. I was told that my resume would only be presented if I was truly committed. I wasnt. A large recruiter would have noted that I turned down a role, and penalized me, by not presenting other opportunities. Not so, with Excel. Erica called me a short time, later, with a placement that is absolutely ideal, with a great group of people! Excel knows that it is in their best interest, the Clients best interest, and YOUR best interest, not to waste anyones time. With Excel, its a Win-Win-Win. I have only heard rave reviews of Erica and Tara. If you are in the job market, I recommend Excel Partners as your FIRST option. They stand ready to work hard, getting you to work.

Excel Partners always has the best jobs and they know what they are doing when it comes to placing candidates and finding the right fit for their client’s needs. I have had the pleasure of working with Tara Kiniry at Excel Partners. In fact, she has placed me in two different roles over the past five years. Due to my company being sold, I was seeking another position and Tara is the first and only person I called. As an experienced Executive Assistant trying to find a role in this market can still be tough. She is the only person I would trust with my job search. It is not just your computer skills that should be considered. I really appreciate Tara for getting to know me and my needs not just her client’s. Tara is amazing at her job and is very talented. I started temping with Excel-Partners almost 20 years ago. I was registered with several agencies but Excel-Partners always had the best assignments. Their clients are some of the finest companies in Connecticut. Through Excel-Partners I was placed in an investment firm, when there was a merger and I was let go, I went back to Excel-Partners. Kevin Kavanaugh was my recruiter, hes very dedicated to finding just the right position for each candidate and actually makes the process fun with his sparkling personality and humor. Ive always been able to solidify a jobs on my own, but the market is ever changing. I also worked for an recruiting agency so I really was very cautious of using one when I found myself out of work. I contacted Excel Partners and received a call back. I received great feedback on what my resume should look like and what changes need to be made. We followed up, and I started interviewing. Excel found a position that works for me, the salary is great and its a really good fit. Although its a temp position, the opportunity for it becoming a permanent is good at this point. Very unprofessional. I was called about a position and was told to call back to schedule a time for appointment. I called literally 10 mins after the recruiter called me to give my reply and was sent to voice mail. I tried to contact directly with the recruiter several times VIA their direct number from e-mail (which I might add was full of typos, completely unprofessional, especially for a position that required accuracy for data and information) and e-mails. I called the office and asked to talk to the recruiter and was directed straight to the voice mail again. Leaving a message on the voice mail obviously didnt work. Avoid them if you dont want to waste your time.

In the past three years my decision to seek only temporary work has led to three years of excellent and diversified assignments exclusively with Excel Partners and generous hourly rates. I was contacted by the office to come in for an interview, and confirmed it days in advance. I should have known something was wrong, and I showed up 10 mins before the meeting, no one was in the office or picking up the phone. 20 MINS later receptionist surfaced from the back room and opened the door. When I said I had an appointment she laughed and said that Mary (the person whom I was scheduled to speak with) was not in and would not be until further notice. 2 weeks, later when Mary finally got around to meeting with me, she did not have ANY positions available. Save yourself the resume paper and time, and do not use this office.
