Please be careful! A few months ago I mailed a simple package for my goddaughter that I didnt insure because it wasnt too valuable, but it did have a couple sentimental things in it. After a couple weeks of being told to just wait, I came to the conclusion that they had no idea what happened to it, and my goddaughter and father wouldnt get their souvenirs. Worse, a week ago I sent my fiancees engagement ring to be resized through registered mail, and paid a decent amount to get it done priority. I checked the tracking number and it said the package would arrive by April 8...its April 13, and after a call to USPS they dont know where it is. The Norwich Post Office has (in my opinion) friendly, yet incompetent, staff. Twice in a row theyve lost important packages, and I will NOT trust them again.

I love this place. The staff treat me like family. They solved problems I had with my mail delivery in a prompt and professional manner. I love the architecture, the WPA painting is fantastic. I do not understand why the government would mandate handicap access and hold churches, businesses and the like under the gun for not having handicap access but not put it in its own places. I have a video of a lady pushing one hundred years old pulling her cart up the stairs to get to the post office. Wheres her easier access. I actually filmed myself falling down here. This place should be five stars. It is the heart and center of the Rose City. Its architecture and history should demand respect and awe from everyone who uses it, passes it and sees it.

A beautiful classic building that blends in with downtown Norwich beautifully. The service for the postal service here is great - the staff are extremely polite and considerate, taking a good amount of time to serve your requests and handle them in a relatively timely manor. The only waiting done here is due to existing lines as one to two stations are open at any time. I prefer running here instead of any other locations for dropping off my mail.

Stopped delivering my mail because they claimed I moved. I called them and the Post Master General. He assured me it wouldnt happen again. It happened a week later. Physically handed the final required paperwork for admission into ASU to the Mail Clerk! Months later, the university claimed they never received it. I almost didnt get into college that semester. It was stressful. Just deliver the mail!

This place has been open for a very long time. So same goes for the people who work there. And their hours of work are NOT the ones you see Online, but the ones posted in a very old, almost invisible sign inside the building, that says: "Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm & Saturday 9am - 1:15pm." You may find yourself waiting an hour for them to open the counter area if you go over by 8am like Google says.

Tried to call the USPS 800 number and was going to have to wait forever, so I called the local office and was answered immediately by Jerry who was very pleasant, friendly and above all...HELPFUL!! Wonderful!!
