I live at the Crystal lake condominiums in Salem Ct there is a real issue with whoever sorts mail in the Colchester post office my mother sends me a bi weekly check every month and in July she not only sent me these checks as usual but she also sent a Birthday check for my daughter on July 2-10 we never received these check in my mailbox because who ever sorts the mail in my neighbors box who was vacationing on a cruise and was having her mail held her mail for the second week of her 2 week vacation she returned either the last few days of July or the first couple days of August but she finally received her mail was going through it and found my check which my mother usually sends it in a card and my daughters birthday check! I am trying to get ahold of the postmaster in Colchester Ct her name is Elena and either she is on another line or she is out to lunch but I have tried contacting her 4 times I even went to post office to talk to her and that is when I was told she was on the phone and to call her later this issue is ongoing and more importantly I am not the only one who either missing mail or getting someone elses mail! THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE ADRESSED NOW

Our mail carrier would rather write out a sorry we missed you tag for us to come get our mail at the post office than drive down the drive way. We were all home this afternoon and OUTSIDE as well. Literally the worst service ever out here on the Colchester town line. Its bad enough we dont get mail until 430 or 5 pm, but now we have to go to town because our carrier is too lazy to drive down the drive way????!!!!! It honestly took longer to write the tag and this review than actually delivering our mail would have.

Thought the postal service would be reliable but have had nothing but issues. Had three important checks coming in the mail and each one has been lost and the mail service had not been helpful in trying to retrieve them. Two have been delivered to the wrong address and the other one was delivered to an address the post office says they have no affiliations with. This is ridiculous. Because of these incompetent assholes my family now had no money for food and has no food in our house. Thanks colchester post office

Ive had (more than once) packages coming from California or Utah, that took two days to get to Colchester, then 3-4 more days to get to my house in Salem, and on one occasion I even had to go pick it up in Colchester because when I called they said it had been there for two days but "wont go out till tomorrow" and USPS in general doesnt seem to care if you paid for expedited shipping or not. They dont give it any more priority than anything else. >: (

Constantly getting someones mail and our mail get delivered to other people! When we went on long trip we requested to hold up our mail and yet it was continued to be delivering - made overstuffed mailbox, mail was flying around in the wind! Our neighbor has pick it up for us. The package from Amazon said delivered but never got it. Called post manager general Elena to complain about the issues but did not got much help at all! Very angry.

They cant spell, cant deliver on time, and if you have a driveway longer than the special needs delivery driver can see down they will not even attempt to bring it to your house making you have to go pick it up the next day. I wish I could rate zero stars.
