Dont get stuck going here, and dont bother getting hired by the post office. Theres a reason theyve been steadily declining. Spent months completing the required tests and work in order to be able to apply for what was advertised as a full time position online. When I went to the interview, the post master told me that it was a part time position that could lead to full time. I jumped on it excitedly in hopes of securing a decent federal job, boy was I wrong. To start, the instructors from my training told me my position would be on call, not even full time. From there I spent months of training driving back and forth from Willimantic to Hartford to Providence and everywhere in between, then one day nothing, no word of further training, no reciprocation, no payment for everything Id done and all the days I sat in offices and shadowed, let alone all the miles I put on my car. I put in months of effort, did not get a single pay check and did not hear anything to complete my training, but instead received a letter of termination with no given reason, for a position (which was listed online as a full timerural carrier, but I was hired as an "assistant rural carrier" that dont get any hours) with no given reason, no pay check for the months of work I gave to training and all the miles I racked up, probably because this federal "organization" is so unorganized and inefficient and probably hired too many of my position. I would understand if they actually physically called me, or compensated me for all the massive amounts of time and effort I put in to making all the assigned appointments. But no, nothing, just a letter without a reason. Do not waste your time with the USPS, they will fall under probably within our lifetime as they should, as it is an archaic mess of a company that is inferior to most modern day options.

They have terrible service and they are extremely rude. I called and asked for help with one of their services and they told me to wait a minute to search up some information about what I had requested, so I was fine with it but then they had me on hold for a whole 10 minutes and when they got back on the line they clearly said they could not help me and I was just going have to see for myself. It was a waste of a good 15 minutes of my life that I can never get back.

I have been using this post office for 25 years, and I have been amazed at the calm efficiency, patience and professionalism the staff shows in the face of sometimes difficult situations. They seem to be able to handle just about anything thats thrown at them, and they usually do it with a smile.

Dont bother telling "Doug" to resend a package and we will have the paperwork saying we want it left at the top of the driveway. Instead he sends it to another post office. Tell him the opposite of what you want done and maybe you will get your package the next day.. Maureen Varner

They do the best that they can while their resources are being cut further and further.. If you want to complain that your package is late, dont bother! They could care less about your online shopping addiction.
