So I first moved here a few years ago & I was recommended to go to Adam Broderick... my hair is VERY coarse & I need a good hairstylist that knows what theyre doing. So the first time I went, the girl cut it and let it go curly but put products in it for wavy hair. I wasnt impressed but all I really needed was a cut. So the next time I went, I had a girl cut my hair that would put products that "hopefully" would work on my hair. In the end, she straightened it but it was all greasy and my bangs werent even straight. The last time, I will ever go there, I needed a quick hair cut for my school picture day so I decided to go back and just get a quick blow out and thats all. Well, the lady was very cocky & took 2 1/2 hours on my hair. When she was done, she bowl-cut my layers and my hair wasnt even thinned out and parts of my hair werent even straightened! Like I said, my hair is very coarse so the bowl cuts in my layers made my hair even more worse! When my dad came to pick me up, the receptionist gave him attitude and was like, Well why are YOU here? when all he was doing was coming in to pick me up. I do NOT recommend going here if you want a good hair-cut. In all honesty, Ive gotten better hair cuts from the cheaper salons and they are way more friendly and helpful than Adam Broderick.

Its a nice salon if your going to get a cut and color like every 6 weeks but its really overpriced. Around $400 for a cut and color, plus all the stuff they try to sell you. The stylists are pushy about what they want to do with your hair..they dont seem to care what you want. The stylist kept pushing layers but my wife wasnt the least bit interested. Another time I took her there to get her hair done for the prom. The woman gave my wife ringlets when she asked for beachy waves and kept insisting her hair curler could melt tires. Very weird! My wife also got her hair bleached and her hair has been damaged in the back ever since. Supercuts does a better job and thats just sad. The stylist at Supercuts was more knowledgeable by far. They do have a nice childrens area but again like I said the salon is overpriced. If you want to go to a salon..pay more than you should , get a haircut you dont really like and is high maintenance/ and/or damaged hair, and deal with click stylists who are clearly in comoetition you should go here. So in summary avoid this place like the plague or you will be sorry. They have a really nice presentation but dont be fooled or you will be crying in your car for an hour after your done. Trust and believe that!

For Christmas my aunt had given me an all day beauty treatment. massage, nails, eyebrows, and haircut, like any girl would love. I wasnt the biggest fan of the massage, but everything else was fantastic. I came out that salon looking like a model. The nail stylist was so nice and easy to talk to and she did a wonderful job. my eyebrows were absolute perfection. And my favorite part was my haircut. My stylist was friendly but a little shy and was very new to Adam Broderick. I got and A line which is where it was really short in the back and long in the front and some nice side bangs. I would defiantly suggest going here to get a haircut. And if you would like a nice pamper, everything else is good too. My only problem is expenses but this place is worth every cent.

Upon entering AB for a drop in mens cut I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and booked in immediately. They set me up with Greg, the salons Master Mens Stylist, and I will be going back. Greg gave me the best cut I have had in a long time. He fixed the mess the last stylist(from another salon) had left sitting on top of my head and delivered a new and improved style for me to rock. Adam, the owner, also checked in after my cut was finished to introduce himself and welcome me to the salon. The service and quality at AB Southbury was nothing short of fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you to Greg and the rest of the staff at AB!!!

I have been coming to AB in Southbury for several years now and I am so pleased with CAREY, who does extraordinary facials and salon treatments. She gives it 150% everytime and she is clearly into it! I recently had a fabulous cut with Gabbi, as well. YOU ROCK AB!

My wife has been looking for the right hair cut and spa, and we found it. Adam Brodericks in Southbury is great the dye stays in the cut was great the staff is pleasant and i would recommend it to everyone.

this salon is wonderful. i have been going there for 3 years now. my coloring and highlights are perfect. i cant get my hair to look any better than it is!! great job AB signed LP/newtown, ct
