I have been going to see Bryan at Captiva for 2 years now and I couldnt ask for a better stylist! I have ashy to brown hair naturally and in the past have had a difficult time having stylists dye my hair a blonde that is appropriate for my natural color and my skin tone. Bryan is honest and always tells me if he thinks I should go a shade darker or lighter based on the season and my level of tan. He also gives FANTASTIC scalp massages. I also appreciate the fact that when he cuts my hair and I only ask him to take off half of an inch because I am trying to grow out my hair, he actually listens and only takes off half of an inch. All around, Bryan is fantastic and if I ever move I will make the trip to see him! Captiva overall is a very welcoming place. All of the staff members are extremely friendly. I do wish that they could charge tip onto credit cards though... That is the one inconvenience that I face every time that I go to the salon.

I have been a customer of Captiva Salon for over 20 years. Although I live outside the greater Wallingford area, without hesitation I travel to Captiva for my haircuts. There are few places in New England ( outside of NYC, perhaps) who know how to cut mens hair with comb and scissors. I am extremely pleased with my current stylist, Aref Hamed, who cuts hair like a seasoned professional. His attention to detail, precision and delivering a consistent "cut" every time I visit, is why I keep coming back. If you appreciate a quality haircut and NOT a clipper "zip and run", then Captiva Salon Paul Mitchell is for you. Great stylists who know how to cut hair, along with excellent Paul Mitchell products makes this a winning combination.

The Captiva Salon experience begins the moment you walk through the door. The staff always greets with a smile. My stylist, Jessica, listens to my needs regarding my hair and always delivers a great haircut. Now, my entire family visits Captiva Salon in Wallingford for their style needs! The entire staff at Captiva Salon Wallingford work hard to create a spa-like atmosphere and build relationships with their clients. I always recommend Captiva when someone is looking for a quality salon.

I totally agree with u Sarah. Its more like an assembly line in there and they care more about if the the assembly line is running the right way then how happy or should I say how UNHAPPY their clients are. And yes it is clean in there but who cares how clean it is if your customers are not happy. The only stylists I went to was Kim and she was GREAT at what she did but who wants to feel like a product on an assembly line. I was going there for a few years myself. But not anymore.

My stylist, Kristina, very knowledgeable and patient, works with you to get the result you want!! Went to see Aref at the Salon/Barber Shop and the entire experience was unbelievable. Ive always struggled with not being able to get a decent mens haircut at a salon, and vice versa, not getting enough styling at a plain old barber shop. This is exactly what Ive been looking for; professional with the clippers, scissors, coloring, and products. Youve won me over as a new customer!

Aref is an expert cutter, great technique, and the spa treatments from Ashley S., particularly the head and hand massages, are amazing. The new Barber Shop is great.

The best place to get hair styles. Peaceful and friendly. They give scalp messages when shampooing, also paragon hand treatments! Really spoil you when you come in. They even make fresh cookies. I never leave disappointed with my cut. Kelly is great and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Give it a shot if you looking for a great hair salon!

I always have a great experience here! everyone is so welcoming and accommodating. I have been with my hair stylist Ashley for a long time and she always does a wonderful job. my whole family goes here and we use the products including the shampoo conditioner, and we have the blow dryer and straightener too!

Moved to the area and looked for a barber who can do edge-ups, fades and simply give a good mens haircut. Made an appointment with Alaina, and she proceeded to give me exactly what I wanted. Her attention to detail was exemplary. Awesome place overall, definitely going to be a regular.
