Where to begin. My daughter bought a house and I purchased some furniture for it. Had the parcel sent to her new address. Due to unfortunate bank delays (she bought a foreclosed house) the closing was pushed forward two weeks. I had a notice that the parcel was delivered. I drove up to find no parcel, upon speaking to neighbors they saw fed ex driver return the package to his truck. I called fed ex wallingford and they explained that the driver notice the house was empty so he did not leave the package. Absolutely the correct thing to do, cudos. But he had already scanned it delivered so every time I called, which was 4 days in a row trying to find this package, I was told it was delivered and had to explain the whole story each and every time. This was difficult because I did not speak to the same customer service rep each time, most of them had accents so thick I could not even understand them and each time I told them to hold the package at wallingford and I would drive the 1.45 hours to get there and pick it up. Each time no one knew where the package was, then I was told someone changed the delivery address and it was delivered to a address I never heard of. For three of the four days I called, I was told "someone will call you back . Did not receive one call. Finally I called yesterday and was told by customer service that the package was marked "hold" and I could go get it. Drove the whole way to find out that the driver, whom was sent back to the address it was delivered to, could not retrieve the package due to no one being home when he returned. Tom, the manager came out and we spoke, he promised to find my package and to call me when he did. He made good on his promise, called me twice to keep me advised of the situation and is having my package delivered to me directly at MY home address. Tom single handedly solved a problem that I had been dealing with for over four days wit him four hours and regained my trust in fed ex. The reason for one star? The customer service reps no nothing about what is happening, make false promises and should be instructed to send phone calls like mine directly to management. Thanks Tom.

My address is clearly marked. USPS,UPS, Commercial FedEx drivers can find it with no problem. I waited all day for a tracked package. I live on a dead end street and I hear every vehicle that turns around here. The FedEx Ground driver never showed up to deliver the package on time. No note was left on the door. He Then recorded "Customer not available or business closed". What is suspect is he recorded that action at about the timespan it would have taken him to get back to the FedEx Ground warehouse in Wallingford for closing time. When I called to complain about the service, I was informed I could drive the 1 hour 45 min roundtrip to pick it up the package myself. Then I was told a supervisor would contact me with an explanation. None of that ever transpired either. While im here waiting for the same package 2 days in a row, I feel this warning may help the users of FedEx Ground. Im going to urge the sender to start using USPS. At least their drivers are committed. Update: the package was received, albeit with no explanation and a day late.

Had a time sensitive package that I needed before the weekend, first they lost the label causing the shipper to have to return to FedEx to regenerate a label, then upon delivery day the driver made no attempt to actually knock on the door of my apartment, but rather left a note on the outside of the UNLOCKED complex. Called the Wallingford office after to see if it was possible for a re delivery that same day because I needed the package to repair my car which I was told would be no problem. The driver came back, drove around the complex, then left and now the office is closed for the weekend and I am stuck with a disabled vehicle because of this terrible delivery service. Thanks Fedex! You guys are terrible!

Driver never even came down my street as my husband was home all day, but said that he attempted to deliver but said that the customer was not available or the business was closed. I live on a street with 6 houses, you know if a FedEx truck comes down it. I called FedEx 15 minutes after the attempted deliver to have them have it redelivered and they took all my information and said no problem. An hour later and still no package. I call back and the new customer service person asked for my id# and I said I didnt have one. He told me that the first two customer service people never noted my call on my package or called to have the driver reattempt delivery. Great customer service.

Totally unprofessional the driver never showed up and my door was open with a note indicating to come upstairs or call my phone and I will come get the package!!!! Now I have to wait an entire week for my package to be re delievered !!! I called to make a formal company complaint and asked to reschedule delievery for a specific time and date , quess what!!!! The company does not accommodate scheduled time of delievies !!!!lack of integrity FedEx Drivers!##### no tag was ever left of 2nd attempt!!!!!

As with Chads review, the driver left a note on the door saying nobody was home to sign but did not ring the bell or knock. We purposely left the front door WIDE open, had 3 adults and a dog that barks when anyone comes to the door home at the time. It was a snowy day, so we can only assume the driver wanted to hurry through the day and not wait for any signatures. The only reason for two stars is for the Customer Service rep who answered the phone. She was pleasant and tried to be helpful.

Terrible.. I had to go there to pick up tires they did not deliver so drove to wallingford from milford Got there was treated like a prisoner..told by gaurds no weapons and searched me..really even had to remove my belt.????? What they think they have there?..its a box shipping company there acting like there something different Did not enjoy the treatment very unprofessional..shame on fed ex!

Waited all week for my Saturday delivery. At 5:00 when I hadnt received my delivery, I contacted FedEx with my tracking number and was assured that my two large packages were on the FedEx vehicle since 7:31am. At 6:00pm still no delivery..same story at 8:00pm. Its 9:00 no delivery. Im 15 minutes from Wallingford office. Wasted my beautiful Saturday waiting on FedEx. Bad business

It will definitely give you a jolt in following your dreams and improving your skills. Hard work with very limited hours given . They are like Hawks and if they see you talk for a second they will send you home early so you will be losing money instead of making money plus the pay is very low for the demanding job . Look elsewhere
