This is not a body shop. Its an impound lot. Despite cleverly disguising their true intent with a misleading title, make no mistake: They wish not to fix cars. That is not their passion. The owner simply wants to illegally ruin as many peoples days as possible, while having all the likability of an executioner that moonlights as a serial rapist. With written permission from a tenant of the building posted on the windshield OUR NUMBERS ON THAT SAME NOTE, 3 of our cars were towed away while we were still awake. This is not a place for mechanics to fix cars, it is a place for thieves to steal them, then extort you for money to get your car back. Conveniently displayed behind the front desk is a sign explaining that legally you can choose whoever you want to work on your vehicle (because suddenly this soulless monster gives a damn about legality). And that is the one good suggestion this gaggle of hacks that calls themselves a body shop has ever made. Take your vehicle somewhere else. There are plenty of good, Honest mechanics out there, and you dont have to willfully give your business to establishments with no human decency, or any sense of a moral compass other "I make money off ignoring laws".

This place is a joke. I had my car towed in my own condo parking lot after having the proper car tags provided to us by the condo by a worker there because they claimed where I was parked was blocking entrance for any emergency vehicles (fire truck, ambulance, etc.) understandable, but I did not believe that I was blocking anything. I asked for proof and they provided me with what was essentially a close up of my car. The picture did not provide any evidence of me blocking any type of route. The worker themselves admitted that the picture "did not really show me blocking anything" but refused to give me my money back. After attempting to have a civil conversation with the owner explaining that the photo taken did not prove anything I was then demeaned and had my intelligence insulted all while having the owners employee blow smoke in my face. I plan on filing a complaint to the Department of Transportation to get this place closed down.

Horrible buisness . I am a former employee from West Hartford auto center and know first hand what a joke the place is .customer service is at the bottom of the list of priories.the body shop however is top notch .great bodymen and and paint work done there though prices are insanely high.they have one mechanic on deck who has no buisness near a car. the Secretary Maggy is very nice and helpful .the owner himself on the other hand is a loser.he lives in a back room of the shop dumping coke up his nose 24/7 he puts on a good front but the guy is a bum.. . dont know how they keep the doors open at that circus of a buisness.if u want to lose all your money and still have the same issues with your car then by all means its the best place to take your car .but ID rather have some back yard mechanic with one arm fix my car before I take my car there .

I have had only one encounter with West Hartford Auto and that was all I needed. They have the worst service and the rudest employees. When they look at you, all they see is $$$ signs. We went there for assistance with a car, we called prior to showing up to find out exactly what we needed to do and when we got there, it was like "no, who did you speak to?" No one would come forward and admit the misinformation. Then as we are walking back following the guy to the managers office. He stops to talk to a fellow employee, lights up a cig and blows us off until he was ready to proceed again to speak to the manager. The manager was another entire story. We said forget it and walked away. I have never ever seen that type of service before and I would deffinately not ever trust them either!

Charm: one of the worse places Ive ever been to.. I noticed my temperature gauge went up, I had them towed the vehicle to their shop. They told me they replaced the water pump then thermostat, gasket etc. Then my water hose burst, they said it was crystallized..I am still having over heating issues took it back to them because after half hour of having the car on no heat. Check it out at another shop they said is in system. Took it back they told me I need a radiator, check that out my.radiator is fine...changed the cap too, still have issues poor customer service.. Horrible mechanics.. Paid a lot of money...crooks!!!

On my way from NC to Lowell, MA, my car broke down in Harftord, CT on a Friday Afternoon. The AAA Driver took my car to WHAC because I needed it to go see my grandson on Saturday. The next morning,, Sergio, the Manager, assured me that they would fix my car & get me back on the road as soon as possible. He kept me informed of their progress in replacing the faulty alternator. Within 2 hours, the problem was resolved at a very reasonable price. Sergio was very helpful and calming to this Senior Citizen!. I highly recommend WHAC for it outstanding Manager, good service, and caring attitude!

John really worked with me. He was very honest and compassionate. His staff was amazing! This was my first car accident and they didnt try to jip me. My car looks absolutely beautiful. Better than I expected! And best of all he saved me money!!! I would definitely recommend this place.

Best value and service. As a multi family property owner, I use John for towing services. I have also used John for auto-body work on my car and general repairs. His prices are always cheaper but the quality is never sacrificed.
