I will continue to patronize this business as long as i am in Connecticut. I was in for a service last weekend and i was so impressed. The staff was so warm and friendly and i loved the atmosphere. From the time i walked in Melanie greeted me, checked me in and got me situated. Gabriella the salon assistant came as soon as i had my cape on and walked me to the sink. She was wonderful and cheery and so pleasant to talk to and gave an incredible shampoo and massage. I asked her a few things about products and she recommended the melt down mask as she had great hair and said she uses it. Well i got it and i am so happy to have asked. It is an amazing product and worked wonders in the little time i have used it. She then offered me, coffee, espresso, cappuccino, wine, or sparkling water which i was not use to and brought it to me. I then went off to Teri. What a joy this stylist is. I was surprised to find out how long she has worked at this salon as she was still so very passionate with her work and listened to exactly what i wanted. I recommend her to anyone that wants to change their style and do not know which way to go. She nailed it. This woman is what all stylist in todays world should be. Educated, trendy and classy. I love the new style and it is easy and fits my busy lifestyle. i love this stylist I love this place.I will be with them as long as they are here. Great atmosphere, excellent customer service and beautiful salon. Everyone looked so nice as well. thank you greg & tony. Thank you all for a great service Annette

I dont write reviews but after having a terrible experience I feel I should warn others. I got a haircut and highlights less than a week ago in this salon. Although the environment is very nice and the staff friendly and professional the quality of both the highlights and the haircut were anything but. I explained that I needed the same type of highlights I had. No bleach but color, not chunky, nor too light. I specifically asked the colorist to replicate what I had. What she did was a messy job with roots over an inch and a half of bleached highlights which not only is not what I wanted but has also affected not just the color but the quality of my hair as well. After I complained she offered to have me back to correct it but her work was so poor that I am not risking a second visit. I have had highlights for over twenty years and never had anything like this happen. The haircut, done from another person is equally bad. Long soft layers was what I asked for and trying to achieve that with a Razor type instrument creates the exact opposite result. Have already made an appointment with my usual hair stylist at a different establishment and regret not only the waste of money but also the fact that it will be a while before my hair is back to its original state. Avoid at all costs.

I dont normally write reviews, but this was the worst haircut experience Ive had in a long time. I went as a guinea pig for a group of my friends who all have curly/wavy hair. Im glad I saved them the trip! The receptionists are lovely, nice people. Thats the nicest thing I can say about this place. Daianny - my stylist - was rude and abrupt. When I asked her how we were going to cut my hair she said, "Thats for me to know and you to find out." I pushed her and we agreed on a trim and the Ouidad cut. Worst shampoo of my life - rough and quick with no massage or deep conditioning. The cut HURT and as tears streamed from my eyes Daianny said, yeah, I have a heavy hand. Um, cant you soften your heavy hand? Jeez. She put me under a hot air dryer without telling me how long I was to stay there and then came the pitches - do I want to pay extra for a manicure? No, thank you. How about a gloss? Hair gel? Spray? Shampoo? Oh my freaking god. I just want a hair cut right now - if I like it, maybe Ill buy your products then. The actual haircut? HORRIBLE. I looked like a poodle. You would think I went to NJ in the 1980s to get my haircut. Im embarrassed that I went here at all and I think they should be ashamed of their service.

Greg & Tony’s is one of those iconic, landmarks in Westport, thee salon of choice for some three decades. It is a “long hitter as they say in Baseball Land. Beauty salons are like restaurants, not many have that kind of staying power. I was one of their original clients having been a follower of Tony (Sirico) from the time we were both in our teens. He is still standing behind his chair achieving perfection with each finished cut. Yet he has and continues to keep current with the trends. A lawyer I know steadfastly gets his hair cut by Tony saying that it gives him confidence to win his cases! Michelene, too, has been with the shop nearly the entire time and if ever I want to put my hair “up,” she’s the one. Each year I enjoy meeting the new talent, as well, and have seen the salon through many evolutions, including the adding of spa services, and the various redecorations. Going there is a treat, like a special outing. I go whenever I am back in CT and I’ll keep on as long as the doors stay open.

I went in for a consult and was told they could handle my natural, black curls. I am of mixed heritage so my curls are not super kinky nor are they loose, theyre in between. The slash method of cutting was a disaster. I had huge chunks of hair that were 2 inches long and others that were 6 or 8 inches long and all lengths in between. The product that was applied was so heavy and drying it was like I was wearing a hair helmet when I left. Its taken over a year to grow my hair out so its all the same length again. The real problem was that they did not want to turn me away. They should have been honest and said they couldnt handle my curls. I would have thanked them for the consult and gone back to my place in Fairfield. The stylist has worked with me, learned some methods for natural black curls, and does an awesome job.

I have thick curly hair that tangles and frizzes. I was always braiding, pulling it back and straightening it to get some shine and style. My mom saw a girl with Ouidad hair and at twelve, she took me to Greg and Tonys curly hair salon so I could love my curls and feel beautiful with my hair down. It has done wonders for my self esteem and confidence. I cut it 4 times a year and only need some product and my fingers to create a different style everyday! Im 17 years old now, love my curls and get tons of compliments. Im an actress and dancer so I keep it very long. I dont need to shampoo everyday and It always looks shiny, smooth and bouncy and never frizzy even in the summer. Thanks Mom and Michelene!
