My daughter is currently attending EPC and I can not speak highly enough of the center. She has been enrolled since January, after a year a different center. When my daughter first started at EPC she was shy and a bit introverted, now you cant even recognize her. Her personality has shown through. She was quick to make friends, discover conflict resolution, and has become much more vocal about her needs/wants. My daughter has also grown in an academic way. She is able to read and write her name, and recognize a few sight words and knows her letters and numbers. She will be attending Kindergarten in the fall and I have complete confidence that the skills and tools she has learned at EPC will help her become successful in school. I plan on keeping her at EPC next year as well for after school care. I believe she will continue to excel, especially with the staff at EPC. The staff is always courteous and kind. The hours are perfect for a working family. Each person I have spoken with treats each child as an individual. I cant speak highly enough. The gym, music and yoga programs are an amaxing benefit.

I previously reviewed EPC on YP back in 8/2013 (see below). My daughter is still attending three and a half years later and we are just as pleased with the overall program. She is now in the preschool program and the EPC curriculum is more than preparing her for Kindergarten entry in the fall. The staff members are warm and welcoming and my daughter is excited to spend time with them and the children each day. The facility is exceptionally kept and secure. I give Educational Playcare Windsor my wholehearted recommendation. EXCELLENT!! My one year old has been enrolled for two months now and I couldnt have asked for a better place to send her. My intentions behind putting her in EPC was so that she could begin developing the social skills that she possibly lacked in our previous one child childcare setting. I have been AMAZED at all that they do with the children to develop their overall skills - even at only 1 year old! This definitely has given her an awesome start and an edge over any other child that does not have this fantastic setting to learn and grow in! A bit pricey but worth EVERY penny!

I believe the quality of the program and teachers are wonderful. I find my daughters teachers to be caring and supportive. I also have been grateful to the directors for their help to our family while my husband was deployed. And while I appreciate the curriculum, I have noticed some disconnect between what comes out as the lesson plan in the newsletter, compared to what is planned in the classroom. Teachers in this program (compared to other preschools my daughter has attended) seem to not have as much control in their own classroom, and appear to get the information about the weeks plans at the same time as families. I would appreciate an increase in communication, and I would like to see more ownership and empowerment given to the teachers themselves. It is my opinion that this kind of thing is normal and happens when a program is very large, and continually growing. That also speaks to the high turnover as well and the shifting around of teachers that happened in the first few months of my daughters attendance. Sometimes organizations can be too big.

Their are a few good people at educational playcare. However, this daycare facility is unorganized and staff members are irresponsible. My daughter was bitten by other kids twice at the facility and I was never informed. When I confronted them about the issue they had an attitude and I even ask to see the cameras and they refused to show them to me. Whats the use of having cameras in the school if your not going to allow concerned parents to see them after an incident has happened to your child at their facility. The staff members always appear to be stressed out and seem to hate their job. A few staff members are assigned to too many kids per classroom. They also have a high rate of staff turnover and I see why. They never even invited my daughter to the graduation that they had there. When I tried numerous times to get in contact with the owners of educational play care, they were always unavailable.

We are very disappointed with Educational Playcare, Windsor. My kid was bullied and hit on head several times (almost daily ),and after the hitting incidents we had complained several times to the management as well as the teachers there..but gave us false assurance as they said they were already aware about the notorious boy in their class..but they Failed to take any appropriate action or improve the situation as we continued to hear every few days of being hit by him. My kid was emotionally hurt and upset after such frequent incidents at day care. EPC boasts great things about their center but they just want to earn money and dont want to care about childs emotional wellbeing & safety instead encourage and flourish bullying kids in their care center. My child has attended other schools and daycare as we relocated different places..but sending my child to EPC was our BIGEST MISTAKE.

I have 3 children who attend the Windsor EPC, overall we have had a great experience. My kids love the atmosphere, teachers and connection we have made in a very short time. My 2 year 4 month toddlers have very different personalities so when looking for a preschool training program I needed something that was going to give them a wide variety of activities and help me with something that I need most which is potty training. On my first day, I called the directors a few times to check up on my children to make sure they were adjusting well and she didnt mind all my calls. Danielle makes me feel like my kids are in excellent care. I told my kids tonight that they will be going to "school" tomorrow and I swear they went right to bed cause they want to be prepared and well rested!

My son has been attending e.p.c for months, I have been very satisfied with the attention my son receives as well as the many things he is being taught. He has learned sign language, made me some very cute crafts, and always says he has fun at school. They have always been cleanly, the childrens meals are nutritional and fit age, and they have some great indoor and outdoor play areas. I feel they handle classroom "problems" well, incidents are made into written reports, parents are told of an issues and things are taken care of. The administration is wonderful they are great at greeting you and having patience and understanding when dealing with care for kids paperwork. Thank you educational playcare for giving my son and I a great experience :)

We decided to switch our son from a daycare in Hartford to the newest facility in Windsor, and have never looked back. Despite the cost, the program proves to be outstanding and well worth it. My son (18 months) at the time was acting very angry and unhappy every day when returning home from the Hartford day care. Shortly after switching to Educational Play Care, we noticed a significant difference in his behavior and attitude. He is always happy to go, and everyone at the facility proves time and time again that they love and care for him like he was their own child. I am very pleased with every aspect of the new facility and feel at peace every day when I drop him off. I highly recommend Educational Play care.
