My husband and I have taken our cars to Murray Brothers several times, and, while they seem like very nice people, they are expensive. I also have found that things go wrong with my car after it is serviced there. This may be coincidence, but three times is the charm, and I wont be going back. This last time is typical of our previous interactions. I went to them in the morning for an emissions test (which I passed), and by evening my check-engine light was blinking. They diagnosed it as misfiring spark-plugs, and I was charged $482 to replace them. After picking my jaw up off the floor, I called around for estimates, and it turns out their price was in the ballpark, but by far the highest: even the local dealership quoted me $50 less. Adding insult to injury, after paying nearly $500, my steering wheel was filthy when I got my car back. After previous services Ive come away with loose, rattling parts that have required a return trip. Are they awful? No. In fact, they are very personable, and I might like to have them as friends. But they are consistently expensive, and I hate coming away wondering about pricing or what might still go wrong.

This shop is a joke. Took my car for an alignment, they charged me 17$ more then what i was quoted when called (ended up paying 87$ & the alignment was HORRIBLE on top of it).. just to leave & find out that night they messed up my hood & i now couldnt open it after never having a problem before. Took it back the next day & at first denied it saying they wouldnt open it for alignment then after their boss asked worker he admitted to opening it so they told me to drop my car off the next day. Left it with them for 8 hours & they "couldnt get it open" & only made it worse as now i have a good one inch gap easily (which i also never had before, obviously they were sitting there yanking on it) & my hood release inside was yanked out. Worst mistake i ever made bringing my car there, wouldnt recommend it to ANYBODY & would never bring another vehicle there again. THEY ARE HACKJOBS.

Murray brothers is an amazing place. They are experts in cars, from jeeps to Porche to restoration, they are, by far the best. This isnt the only reason I love this place, today, I went to have my emissions done on my car, I accidently dropped my wallet (a Prada wallet that was given to me) with all my holiday money and checks in it. Of course, I panicked when I realized I didnt have the wallet, so I called them and not only did they have my wallet, everything was there (which I knew it would be because of the type of people they are) honest, amazing people and I thank them for saving my holiday. If I had to describe them, I would say: Experts and passionate about taking care of your car, but the honestly and integrity, is by far, the best Ive encountered. Thanks Murray Brothers ... I stopped coming here a few years ago.. for a few reasons.. they are expensive, and usualy my cars would break down more after bringing them to these guys, plus the staff was always so rude especially the blonde woman... a few days ago I decided to give these guys another try.. and they are still rude and talked to me like I was stupid... of course I know nothing about cars, its why I was bringing mine to them! that extra money I spent was definitely not for customer service. I will never come here again and I will strongly urge everyone I know to never come here!

They are very personable, I have always been treated with respect and had all of my questions answered. Took my dodge truck to the dealer to have the brakes fixed and the dealer couldnt fix them. Took it to Murray brothers and had it fixed in one day. 50,000 miles later the brakes are still great. Oil changes are a bit pricey, but, I use synthetic oil in my truck so they should be as the oil itself is almost fifty bucks in the stores. I trust them with all of my cars and they have never let me down.

I recently relocated from NY to CT and needed an emission test on my car. I did a search online and found Murray Brothers Garage listed. I called and spoke with a very pleasant fellow named Bill who said just bring my car in the next morning which was a Saturday. Wow I love looking around in that garage with all the old photos and car "stuff". Quick service with a smile! I plan on having any future car work done there! I highly recommend them! Victoria

These folks are skilled and trustworthy. I have been using them for years. I am skeptical of that review with an $89 oil change. They have been nothing but professional and VERY fairly priced. I have no association with them to cloud my view. I recommend them without reservation.

I called this morning due to waking up to a flat tire. Called Murray Bros for their fix a flat service, their truck was down. A garage that cant keep their own vehicles operating probably isnt worth entrusting with your vehicles maintenance. Go elsewhere if you have any other option.

$89 for an oil change. Of course they didnt mention it until after the fact. Maybe the other posters are friends with the owners or something but after comparing experiences with others this place is loves to pull the classic bait and switch. Avoid unless you like being overcharged.

They can fix any car and dont fix anything that doesnt need fixing. They also generally fix it for less than the dealers. If you have European cars, like Saabs, Volvos, Audis etc., take them here. Most likely they have fixed your problem 100 times already.

Always honest, accommodating and they never sell you anything you dont need. I have been a loyal customer for about 10 years now and have never once had a bad experience. Great place staffed with mechanics that love to work on cars.

They take advantage of the younger crowd. Definitely wouldnt trust them with a quote. also expect to pay a minimum of 60 dollars for anything they do with your car including just inspecting it.
