I have been dying my hair black for years and developed an allergy to the dye so I have been going through the process of bleaching my hair to a platinum blonde color. I have been in this process for about 7 months now and had a variation of white, yellow and orange hair mixed throughout my head. I had tried a few of the local salons and walked out disappointed each time. I started to do some homework and located the Art o Hair salon online and saw the reviews were so amazing. I called and the super nice lady that answered the phone was able to get me an appointment with David that very same day. I went in with little hope that I would walk out happy since its been my experience but I was willing to try as a last resort rather than attempt to bleach my own hair. When I walked in I was quickly greeted by David who was ready to get to work on my mess. He chatted with me for a bit and found my wants and goals for my hair and was very confident he could help turn my wreck of a head into something I would be happy with. Now understand my hair is very dry, multi colored and damaged from over bleaching but he saw no issues helping me. He took his time and took great care in his work. He was more knowledgeable about my hair than any hair dresser I had ever had work on me. He not only understands how to do hair, he knows he science behind what he is doing which makes a big difference I think when you are bleaching hair. He was a very personable and easy to chat with which makes the time sitting in his chair fly by. He bleached my hair, toned it, conditioned it, cut and styled it. I was so amazed at what he created!!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my color and I think I adore the cut he did even more! I have had more compliments on my hair in the last 24 hours than I have in the past 5 years! He took 10 years off on me with what he did to my old boring hair. I was at a point where I hated looking in the mirror anymore because I was so displeased with my hair, but I have found myself in front of a mirror every chance I get so I can take a glance at the new women David created! If you are tired of paying for your hair just to walk out unhappy its time you get over to the Art of Hair and see David because seriously I cannot imagine anyone walking out and not being totally thrilled at what he does with their hair. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I used to go here to get my hair done by Jennifer, but she ended up moving, so I made an appointment with another woman stylist. I got to my appointment and they said that I would have David instead. I was a little annoyed, but didnt think it was a big deal... until he did my hair. He smelled of smoke and wasnt friendly. He highlighted my hair, but it was awful!! He did a zigzag part (very old style) to hide it when he was styling, so I didnt see until I got home how bad my roots were. Why did I get my hair done to just have my roots showing again?! I even told him that I was getting engagement pictures the next day! I wish Jennifer was still there, but Ill never go back now. I called to tell them about it and the lady at the front said David would call me, which he never did. I wanted my money back, but they said they dont do that. Worst over $220 bucks I ever spent! DONT waste your time here.

As a Stylist, sometimes it is hard to find the right salon to work at, but I know from experience that The Art of Hair is a fantastic salon full of great stylist who really care about the industry. The Salon has a sophisticated layout that is very unique, down to the eisle board stations and the salon is always clean and clutter free. David and Lisa are amazing to work for and there is never any "Salon Drama", which is quite refreshing. All in all this was the best salon I ever worked at and I would truly recommend it to any stylist looking for a great places to work with amazing people who really care about the quality of the work they are putting out, you definitely will get a high quality hair cut at this salon for an affordable price, everyone here really cares about continuing education and perfecting the art of making fabulous hair.

I called to The Art of Hair today last minute, to see if they could get me in for a haircut. They were closing soon, and STILL took me. David cut my hair. I was previously a hairstylist, and I am extremely picky. He was absolutely EXCELLENT!! There has been very few times in my life where I havent had to come home and fix some part of my haircut, but today was one of those days! Excellent cut, Thorough consultation to be sure we were in agreement of what he was going to do, very friendly staff, and fast!!! I will definitely be back to see him. I cant say enough good things!

I have been going to David for the past 5 yrs and a while ago went from being a natural blonde wanting a change went dark brunette, after several months of enjoying the color as a womans porogative suddenly thought I would like to be blonde again. David consulted with me and told me how he was going to take my hair back to blond he has done so with no damage to my hair with the high quality products he used, and again Im thrilled with the results what a great job thanks Art Of Hair as always customer satisfaction at its best Jodi Of Brandon.

The mentoring and knowledge that he provided was nothing short of perfection! Ive traveled and lived outside the U.S. and have not been able to find anyone who has done a better job of understanding the texure, porosity, and curl pattern of my hair. Ive found my hair savour for life!!!

New to Apollo Beach and was in desperate need of a haircut. I was able to get a same day appointment and they stayed open late to take care of me. I received a cut and color after a consultation that took into account my profession and lifestyle. This place is warm and inviting with excellent service. I have already booked my next appointment. Truly a wonderful gem.

He did a choppy horrific cut ..all my hair off after in just told him how short to go. The color was mousy and he said come back and he make it POP with hilights ..he put 4 yesterday 4 foils in and it he had all of my top hair worst Ive ever had done. Ever. Now I have to pay to have it fixed . I dont know whats going on there but very very sad
