Welcome to one of the most pitiful Equinox locations in the world. If you have no perspective (i.e., visiting other locations in other states) then youll think this is an epic gym located inside a damn shopping mall. Ugh. Equinox, in general, despite its monicker (Its not fitness, its life) is actually more about awful gym hours, profits and closures. During ANY holiday Equinox takes a serious break and limits its hours and closes on days when most any other gym outside of godforsaken South Florida would be open. Alas, you can also, partially, blame the locals. This location is about seven years old and in those seven years equipment has not been updated to the point that makes it worth the $160+ monthly price tag. You might join, but after your eighth month (in a contract) youll begin to feel used and abused. But then again, South Florida doesnt really have many fitness choices and Equinox knows this. Yeah, it is cleaner than any nearby gym, and thats one of two selling points this location has. On a typical Monday, this gym is as deserted as a church in South Beach on an early Sunday morning. Why? They dont have as many members as they let on. This location is struggling—That is why not a single general manager lasts at this location for more than a year. The second selling point is that the clientele is not nearly as terrible, filthy and trashy as any nearby gym. You see, Equinox hires too many personal trainers and sets unrealistic goals for all employees. Only the cleaning staff dont have these ridiculous goals. So, if you ever wonder why employees come and go constantemente... This is why. Most personal trainers will last about four months (on average) before quitting. They do this after putting in a lot of hard work trying to attain unrealistic goals in a gym that has purposely hired way too many trainers. This gym isnt recommended by me unless you have absolutely no choice. But, hey, if you must stop in, ask for Jenny. Shes the only one in the whole club that knows what shes doing. If youre a mall employee, you get a special rate of right around $100/month for a single club.

Made an appointment with Steven on very short notice. First visit to Equinox and was going for a massage on my shoulders which have been bothering me for over a week. Steven began with a brief assessment and I told him about the areas that were in pain. He was very informative throughout the whole process. The massage itself was excellent and very relaxing. After he gave me follow up advice on stretches and exercises I can do to help. I felt a huge difference and was completely surprised at how much of a difference he was able to make in just one session. I would highly recommend Steven to anyone needing therapy and will be repeating again.

Nice gym. I have been a member for 4 years. Completely different clientele than all the meathead gyms and cross fit warehouses. The equipment is well maintained and accessible. If you train during peak hours in the morning or early evening, you may have to wait for certain stations. 6-8 pm is extremely busy. So, if you are into circuit training you may want to come in later or before 6. This is where the gym loses points for me. If you are into the number of classes they offer and workout traditionally old school, than anytime is fine.

Not nice attitude... I wanted to check the place . Reception guy told we can not do this..than I asked do you guys have any sales rep? So he called a guy who asked my id-I would prefer some incognito.. Bad experience from the beginning :( seems like they dont need new costumers..

Why would anyone pay so much, was pretty inside but same equipment as every where else. I looked at all the gyms in the area and cant justify paying these prices to workout on the same equipment. Talk about paying for a brand...

This location is not as big as it should be considering this is the only location in the area, its missing lots of equipment. Overall the energy in the gym is on the downside. They do have a juice bar.

I like this gym. Everyone is pretty cool. Clean. All the employees have made me feel welcomed. At the end of the day if you like working out then this is a great place.
