We had a very poor stay at the Turnberry Isle property - it really left me with a bad taste in my mouth towards Marriott and questioning why I have been a gold member (over 50 nights per year) or the past five years. My wife and I took our nine month old daughter to Turnberry Isle for a seven night vacation. The service and value at this property really seemed to be lacking compared to other properties we have stayed at. We had terrible service at the pool, room service food had plastic in it, management was nowhere to be found when we tried to report the issues. Our bill had extra charges on it. We tried to arrange a later check-out (2pm vs the regular 12pm check-out - late check-out is supposed to be one of the benefits of being a gold member) and were told that it couldnt be done because the hotel was fully booked and could only offer us 12:30pm. When I pushed this issue, they told me we could stay until 2pm, but they were going to charge us for a half days stay......hang on, I thought you were fully booked and needed us out of our room for the next guest?!? Odd that they can make room for us if we give them more money, but not without. My recommendation would be to avoid this property.

This hotel is beautiful, but the customer service is absolutely terrible and destroyed the experience. We travel for business quite often and have never experienced a staff so rude. From the reservation phone line, to initial check in, to the wait staff- every person had an attitude and made us feel as though we were unwanted and that we were a thorn in their side. For a signature resort of this caliber, I would expect MUCH more, and quite honestly, the money is not worth the stay. The Assistant Manager Roston" was combative and rude when we asked to have some bags taken up to our room, and I am surprised to see him in a management position. The only person who made us feel welcomed was the Manager Eric. I would strongly recommend that this establishment make some serious changes in their customer service skills, but we will not be returning any time soon.

My wife, daughter (16) and son (13) all thoroughly enjoyed a glorious vacation at Turnberry Isle Resort last week during the April school vacation for Massachusetts. The place was clean and beautiful everywhere. The service was attentive and all the staff people we interacted with were warm, friendly, and sincere in their roles. The food was delicious throughout the resort. We enjoyed the clean pools, fun water slide and lazy river; and most especially our time at the beach club. The shuttle to the beach and mall was very convenient. We had a very memorable vacation experience at Turnberry Isle Resort and we accomplished our goals of blending fun with rest and relaxation in a most glorious setting that has us all hopeful for a return visit in the future! Bravo!

Im only giving 1 star because no stars was not an option. My husband was sent to Florida after Irma to help restore power to the residents. His company had them rooms at this hotel. The first couple of days everyone was worried about the hurricane and focused on that. After the hurricane hit and the guys began working the staff became increasingly rude and disrespectful of the work the guys were there to do. My daughter travels a lot as she models, we were just in Florida last month at an event but we will never stay at this hotel or any hotel associated with this group! These guys had to leave their families to take care of families in Florida and being treated the way they were is completely unacceptable!

I stayed in May 2014 in a room overlooking the golf course. The entire property is lovely and well manicured, including the pool areas. The rooms are semi-luxury, very spacious, with plenty of workspace, ample closets/drawers, and thankfully no bibles. The in-room amenities are very good, with robes, slippers, and Molton Brown toiletries. The fitness center (located in a separate building with the spa and retail boutiques) is one of the best hotel/resort facilities I have ever been in, and I travel quite a lot. The changing rooms expansive, private, and well-stocked. The onsite restaurants are so-so, about what youd expect from hotel restaurants, though the events catering is much above-average.

5 star however there were issues :: - door to outside did not close on our last night so NO AC - Staff is great / however food quality and time it takes to get it by pool is really bad - make sure you check your bill, i was told $200 for upgrade and they wanted to charge $265 at checkout - service is really bad by the pool, in fact no one came once to see if we wanted something, we had to track them down, the towel people are great and fast but the rest get a 1 star.. - make sure they tell you if you come with two cars they charge $35/night x 2

I loved the spa experience however Im giving this rate because you need to beware of your belongings because they STEAL there! And the lost and found is useless because your items will not be reported ! I am so upset and depressed that this has happened to me I had to make a police report which is pointless because I know Ill never get my $225 MK watch back. I was also told that on your valet ticket there was a disclaimer that says they are not responsible for any damaged goods or stolen items. First and last time Im stepping foot over there !

A very beautiful resort and the amenities are great. The staff is very professional and serviceable. The only reason I would not give it another star is because they charge valet for everyday your there. I may have missed knowing this on my end. There are no other parking options so you have no choice. Also the pricing on their menu for their room service is out of date. I ordered breakfast expecting it to be $30 but it came out to $60. Overall recommend for professional and personal travel.

It was a very nice hotel. We were not there very long, but did get to eat in one of their restaurants, the Corsair Kitchen & Bar. The food was tasty and the service was fantastic. Jenna was extremely sweet. Her service made us like to come back and try other items on the menu. The valet was quick, friendly, and accommodating. They not only got our car at check out, but had us sit and relax on the benches while waiting for the car and then quickly loaded our luggage for us.
