I normally use recommendations from people I know when deciding on a contractor. The roofing contractors that were recommended werent working out and I found Harvath from searching online. The website is well done, the reviews seemed real, so I called and made an appointment. From that time to the completion of the roofing job in July 2015 it was a great experience. At the meeting I was given a 12 page estimate with many detailed pictures of the old roof and extremely detailed steps of the plan for fixing problem areas as well as updating older systems such as venting. The pricing was excellent and the execution of the job went perfectly, once the weather permitted. In any roofing job the estimate has to leave room for unexpected problems under the old shingles and Harvath adequately prepared me for that but also believed they werent going to find anything too bad, maybe a couple hundred dollars. The finished bill only had about $100 for unexpected work. Bottom line: I would highly recommend Harvath, and knowing what I know now I would choose them over other contractors even if they came in with a higher estimate.

I met Steve when he and his son, Aaron came to look at a leak I had over my lanai. I had gotten estimates from 2 other roofers to repair the leak. Aaron instantly said that he didnt think it was a leak, but that it was improperly sealed drywall that was absorbing moisture and looking like a leak. It turned out that Aaron was right, so a couple of years later, when I decided to replace my tile roof with a new one, I asked Steve for an estimate and was surprised that he was the low bid, along with being the one I already trusted. They came when promised, their crew did a great job, cleanup was daily and no one ever found a stray nail in anyones tire. The roof looks great and dealing with the Harvaths was a pleasure. I have recommended Steve over and over and will continue to do so.

Harvath Roofing did a great job installing our new roof, and I was very impressed with their team! They were on time, (Rare for Florida!) very professional, and cleaned up the job site every day. (And at the end even cleaned off our lanai that was much needed!) The job was done in about 1 1/2 days and looks perfect. Also I was skeptical that the new a ridge vent was going to provide a significant difference in attic temperature versus the turbines we had before - But I was talked into it and they were right!! we are already noticing that the new vents have substantially reduced the run time on our air conditioner. I would highly recommend Steve Harvaths company for your new roof!
