A little less than 5 years ago, Vanderpool Roofing replaced the shingles and tar paper on my roof with new. They also did a minor repair on the plywood underneath. All seemed to be good after that. Then earlier this summer, just inside a window we had some dripping after a lite shower. The water stopped dripping inside quickly, possibly running on into the wall (where it may have been going all along - till then). Next rain nothing. Then during a shower - dripping again. I called them and explained that they had installed the roof less than 5 years prior and there was a leak. A young guy came out and said there was a leak in a low spot on the roof. I could see no low spot. But I trusted him and he did the repair. Next day I got a voice mail from their office asking me to give them my credit card for payment. Seemed a bit urgent for a supposed reputable company to call and ask for payment without even waiting to send an invoice. So I wrote them a note and sent it with a check in the mail. Next day, another call requesting payment. Nobody does this! Companies send invoices and customers pay the invoice. All I know is that all of the reputable companies that I have dealt with will send you a bill and you mail back the remittance. Now I understand that at some point a company can not be responsible for a roof after a roof gets some age on it. But less than 5 years and the roof has problems? Then they demand payment over the phone - the next day? And you may notice, someone by the name of Vanderpool came on this rating system and adjusted the Google rating up by giving a 5 star review when the previous 2 reviews had given 1 star. Isnt that a little strange? Now if the leak has gone away after their repair, I may update this review to a 3 star. But right now, I dont even know if its fixed with the random nature of the leak. So, use your own judgement. If I am being too hard on them, ignore this review.

Contacted them for a simple project. After 3 days they finally bothered to come for an estimate. They said they could do it on the weekend, for a significant amount. I said okay and waited almost the entire weekend for them to show up. They never did. Sorry, but use them at your own peril. I wont make that mistake again. Too bad I had to give them 1 star just so I can post here.

horrible work..the work was done in a hurry and ...when asked to come out to redo some shingles that were laid down incorrectly, they were going to charge me. Also rude. I do not recommend..
