Unfortunately I could never suggest using Avatar for your roofing needs after a number of issues from my roof replacement. I thought I was in great hands until construction began. Day 2 I came home to an uncomfortable sight of 2 roofers sleeping near my doors step. I was told it was going to be a 2/3 day project but it ran well into 4 days with no rain delay even. More importantly, after the crew was gone, I noticed 20-30 tacks left in my yard for my dogs to step on. I understand a few overseen nails etc, but this was excessive. I also had pavers installed a month prior to my roof install and after the crew cleaned up, my pavers had about 15 chips or cracks in them due to heavy roofing equipment falling on them. I brought this to the attention of my sales rep Bill and he told me the owner Juan will come out to check and if he doesnt think they did the damage he will charge me for his time. Unbelievable!! Juan came and assured me the damage was not his companys fault but failed to provide another legitimate reason for my pavers to have fresh cracks and damage. He left and said he would send me "something" in the mail....that never happened. They got paid and I never heard from Avatar again. Now, 10 months later, I had my dryer vents cleaned and they noticed that Avatar did not properly replace my dryer vent to the roof and was a major concern. I called an left Bill a voicemail, he returned my call with an EMAIL the next day stating that is it not their responsibility and suggested I call a plumber. I spoke with another roofing company to verify this and they were positive that roofers are to replace any equipment they remove during a re-roofing job. I emailed Bill back for owner Juans phone number so we could handle the fire hazard and non compliance vent issue, but they have yet to return my calls or voicemail. Avatar has been and continues to be a major disappointment and inconvenience. I will continue to share my thoughts on social media, news media outlets, signage, and word of mouth until my fire hazard issue is rectified by Avatar. Save yourself the headache and use anyone but this team. Juan, I look forward to your response.

It may be a blessing in disguise but this company really didnt give me confidence when I found myself chasing down an estimate for 3+ days. On one call I actually spent more time having to describe who I spoke with and who came out and finally say "look, I am trying to get the written estimate so I can SECURE YOUR SERVICES". Two days later - after being told someone would get back to me and an email would come the next day. To date...still no email - let alone a call. On that note, they def. dont have my business nor confidence. Makes me wonder what happened given all the great reviews show on this site and their page. Hope they improve their follow-up service.

Don was great, he explained everything and helped me understand what each item on the proposal was for. I was provided a price list for additional wood so there would be no surprises and he let let know honestly if he thought any would be needed. They helped me get the work done quickly as my insurance mandated the roof had to be done in order for me to keep the policy. My roof was begun a few days after my HOA approval and I was able to keep my home owners ins. To Don, Bill, and the awesome crew that came out to fix my roof thank you all so much!!!

Hello Tampa Bay! I highly recommend Avatar for all your roofing needs. I am a new home owner and a single mother. I was heart broken when I found out I needed a roof replaced on my First home shortly after moving in. Lots of unexpected problems with this company. The roof was installed correctly, but the clean-up was substandard. I had to pick up roofing nails and tar paper from the yard after they left. The foreman did not call the waste hauler to take away the dumpster. Avatar did not return my call to get it hauled away, so I had to call the hauler directly to get it removed two days after the job was complete.

I needed a new roof for my rental property. I called 3 local companies for an estimate. Avatar Roofing called me back the same day to schedule my appointment. I got a call back the following week from another contractor and the third never responded. I chose Avatar because of their great reviews and good price. They showed up when promised. The roof was completed in 1 day and looks beautiful!

Superb experience with Avatar Roofing. We chose them because Don was completely upfront and honest about what our 28 year old roof would need. The roofers were polite and the final product is excellent. Highly recommend them. P.S. The wood cost was way higher than they estimated but Bill/Don worked with us on the cost.

Pricing was more than competitive, tile supplier even laid down wood to protect grass from weight of truck, clean up afterward was impeccable, and even after completion, they came out promptly afterward to correct a slight issue.
