I do not recommend anyone bring their kids to La Petite in Brandon on Kings/Bloomingdale. My cousin sent her kid to the Riverview office and didnt like that one either. My son who was 2 went to this school and every day when I walked in the kids nose was always running and apparently its not the teacher job to wipe it. I felt compelled to wipe these kids nose myself. Too many kids to one teacher. The teacher I think are complacent and not compassionate at all and does not appear to really like their job. My son was always getting sick because they are not very clean. He was bitten, scratched, hit in the head several times and I was not informed. As a first time parent I didnt know if this was normal or not. Now that I have taken him out and put my son in a better cheaper school, I know its NOT normal!! The reviews on line are probably filtered or fake. I used the reviews thinking this would be a good school and I was wrong and really regret sending my son to this school. For a $158 a week I would expect good care for my child. Send your child to providence Christan school off providence and Bloomingdale its a whole lot cheaper $450 a month, cleaner, more compassionate teachers and its a christian school not a day care! My son actually learns and loves his teachers. When he walks in he is greeted with a hug from the director and teacher thats what made me like this school. Granted all kids cry the first few weeks of school but La Petite wouldnt even console my child they let him cry for hours for weeks and didnt not show any compassion at all!! I only wished I knew this wasnt normal and spared my son the pain. I really hope this helps some mothers make an informed decision.

My daughter has been going to this La Petite Academy on Bloomingdale for about six months now. She is 3 1/2 and had never been to a daycare/preschool before. From the first time we toured the facility she loved it and we loved it. Her teacher, Ms. Christine, is one of the best teachers I have ever seen and I worked in daycare for a few years myself. Ms. Mary is the manager and she has been there for over 20 years and is not afraid to get involved with the kids either. I absolutely love these ladies and the rest of the staff! Whoever posted these nasty reviews need to hire a personal nanny if they think their children need anymore attention! My husband often stays for an hour or so in the mornings and watches the children interact with the teachers and he is also very impressed. They are extremely attentive and know each child personally. My daughter is lactose-intolerant and they have just recently begun providing her special milk for her so that I dont have to provide it. If you are looking for a fantastic preschool this is it- and I dont call this a preschool lightly- my daughter (in just six months time and at 3 1/2 years old) now knows all of her ABCs, she can count to 15, and is learning simple addition as well as new songs everyday. She looks forward to going to school and regularly ask me why they arent open on Saturday. I honestly cannot imagine why there are any bad reviews on here, maybe they are mixing this location up with another one? Thank you Ms. Mary, Ms. Tiffany, Ms. Christine, and everyone else at La Petite, you are awesome!

My son was at in-home day care from the time he was 2 months old until he was 2-1/2. He didnt talk very much, didnt know his colors, shapes or even ABCs. He has been at La Petite for just over 5 months now and his development is PHENOMENAL!!! He talks like crazy, knows all colors, shapes, ABCs and can count to 20! The staff at this location work hard! I am not a "turn and burn" Mom... I hang around a bit while I drop my son off to talk to the teachers to ensure Im doing what Im supposed to be doing in addition to their role with my son. These staff members LOVE these kids and invest time in them that I dont have because I have my responsibility to provide for half of our family – going to work. It is such a blessing to see my son get excited when I drop him off and hear him talk about "The Big Kids" and being included in group activities, games and art. He can’t leave the school without saying good-bye to his teachers! I highly recommend this school not only for the instruction that my son is receiving, but for the HIGH QUALITY STAFF that accompany his everyday routine. Thank you La Petite!

When I had my first child, I was very scared to go back to work. After checking home day care centers and several larger centers in the area I choose La Petite on Greenhollow Lane. Ms Kim and her staff made me feel like I left my daughter with family. Everytime I came in I was greated by name and updated with anything that happened during the day. When my daughter turned 5 and went to school we had to change to the location on Bloomingdale Ave. I did not think I would be lucky enough to find 2 centers that cared so much about me and my child, but thankfully I did. The staff made sure her transition to a new school and the milestone of starting "big school" was smooth. When I pick up my daughter (now going on 8) she has her homework done and is busy having fun with her friend. With the amount of homework she comes home with this is a great help. I could not have asked for more attention paid to her during this milestone in her life. I would recommend either of these great schools if you are looking for quality care for your child.

The most awful place! First by phone we were told that in group there is a place, I have spent 30 minutes in traffic jams as has been sure that they have an empty seat. Thank God, after what was seen, they have no places. If you respect yourself and love the child, dont send him to this place. Lady swept the floor, and at this time children were played on a floor. Terribly dirty place, children with green snivels. The room is so small what I didnt understand where these 11 children go to bed?

I decided to transfer my son to this location because it on my way to work and on my way home. Unfortunately, within two months I took my son out of there hes two years old. Ms. Debbie is a great Team lead if it wasnt for her I probably would of taken him out sooner. I feel that quality of care needs to improve and any concerns addressed needed to be more acknowledged then to be brushed off. Good luck.

Terrible place to leave your child, I pick my son up everday and he always is soaking wet from head to toe because the teachers allow him to play in the toilete every day also my son has a new teacher each week. Today he came home throwing up all over him self and never once did the staff try to contact me and let me know he was sick. Im pulling him out effective today may 2 2012!
