Im in a contract dispute with them right now. You can read the contract, and even follow it, but they seem to think they can do whatever the hell they want with your money. You have to give 60 days notice to terminate the contract and now they are trying to make me pay 60 days BEYOND my normal billing date and not 60 days from the date they received my written notice of cancellation. AND now that I get looking at my contract because of this dispute, I realize they took two months dues out in my initial payment! I didnt notice that before they tried to scam me for the 60 day cancellation. My real beef is that I paid for training sessions (under a separate contract) and then was told that because I needed to cancel and didnt reschedule within 24 hours, I FORFEITED the session. I said that was unfair and asked them to show me where I agreed to that. They said in the "contract." I said it was not in the contract and was then told it was their "policy" and that I was told that verbally when I first signed up. First, I was NOT told that verbally when I signed up and second, the contract states that the agreements in writing are all inclusive and that nothing said verbally is binding. WTF? My advice? AVOID SIGNING UP WITH THESE CHEATERS. Im taking my complaint to the Florida Attorney Generals Consumer Complaints Division and hope they can make these jerks see the light. Dominique offered for me to come back to this gym @29.99 a month... I agreed gave her my card info... looked at my email receipt and she charged me 75 dollars... said 25 was a smart start and that there was a processing fee of 17... I told her I did not ask for the smart start and wanted it refunded. she put me on hold and a sales manager came on the line. she said that I ether pay 25 for the smart start or it will be an enrollment fee. I told her I was mislead and that I do not want a membership at all. She told me that it would be refunded. I called this morning and spoke with sales manager Liz who told me no I would not get a refund that either I pay to be a member or they will put that balance towards something I owed them in the past. I told her that I would retain a lawyer if I was not refunded and she hung up on me... This place is absolutely horrible and I will post it everywhere I can.

Shapes has gone bad- been a member since 83 was suppose to be a life time one time fee plus $20 year for life. They sell each and every facility separate and then tell you they do not have to honor a previous contract. Now my $20 is up to $58.00 + an annual increase. Plus, Last year they started a new process called administrative fee that you have to pay to a billing company an additional fee, if you refuse to pay that because its not in your contract they didnt tell you they no longer have to honor your contract. Very deceptive customer service practices go somewhere else while you can . Dont buy a long time plan - they will not honor it. They are short lived. All will be out of business soon.

I have had a horrible experience with my membership. I was told by the sales associate that I had 7days to cancel. At that time I also signed a contract that I did not see. When I called to cancel, I was told their computers were down and I would get a call back. That never happened so I called back and spoke to their corporate office that did not help me in ANYWAY. They have been taking $31.03 out of my account since Oct. and this experience has been a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT SIGN UP.

This club has very decpetive enrollment practices. I was signed up for a multi club membership and was unable to use it. This club pulled a bait and switch. Also will not refund my money due to their error. The owner refused to recitify the error caused by the employee-extremely bad customer/client services. Choose a different gym-Shapes gets two thumbs down.

I was really interested in checking this place out with my mom so we could work on being healthy and fit together... But these people will not stop calling me. Ive told them several times I found another gym and they continue to call every other day from different numbers. REALLY WISHING THEY WOULD LEAVE ME ALONE!

Please read your contract very carefully. They took money from my bank account. I did not know that I had signed a section to deduct from my checking account. I was shocked to find out that the small print stated they could take payment from my account. Buyer be aware!!!!

They lie in person about their terms to sucker people into signing on. Shady contract practices. Six months doesnt mean six months when you have to jump through hoops to cancel your contract. BAD BUSINESS! Go elsewhere.
