We came here for dinner a couple of weeks ago. The food was very good, however, our server was not at all engaging towards us. He did not make eye contact, he did not bring out the food and did not follow-up until we were almost done. We did have dessert, which we normally do not do and it was good. The server came back around and just asked "anything else?" and we were done at that point. He immediately dropped the bill on the table. We paid in cash, and had one of the bills out from inside the bill book so he could see it. He came back around and asked "need change?" Our bill was $31.37 and we had two $20 bills inside. Really? One of the things a server should NEVER do is assume that the rest is theirs. It is RUDE. A good server should always pick up the bill book and say "Ill be right back" no matter what. If the rest of it is for them, then the patron/customer has the opportunity to say, "its yours." When he returned, he brought cash back and short-changed us by $0.13. Another big NO NO. It doesnt matter that the amount is so small, it is the principal behind it. The next day, I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager on duty and explained what happened. I was told that the next time we came in we would have excellent service. (LOL) Because we have only dined there for either breakfast or lunch, we decided to go and give it another try. We arrived and asked to be seated in the lower part of the dining room next to the windows. We were given the table just at the bottom of the stairs. Then our server came over and took our order. I asked for the seafood omelette, and the sides offered I am not able to eat so I told her my husband would be getting my sides. I also ordered a side of bacon in lieu of having the sides it would come with. She did not ask what sides he wanted. My husband ordered the same dish and selected his sides. He also ordered the pancakes. A little while had passed and the food came out by the food runner, not the server. There was my omelette and bacon on the same plate. My husband had the omelette and his sides. The sides that I was supposed to get were not there and neither were the pancakes. The server came back a few minutes later (not the standard 2 minutes or two bites time frame) and asked how was everything. So we told her that I didnt get the sides for my order to which she said "you didnt tell me what sides you wanted". AND we told her we did not get the pancakes. We asked her for honey to which she pointed to the processed package honey on the table. She then asked my husband what sides he wanted, repeating the available sides he had to choose from. So he told her. She went off to the kitchen and I could hear her talking about the situation to someone in the kitchen (not very appropriate). So we waited, and a little while later, the sides were brought to the table. The pancakes NEVER arrived. She brought out the bill a little while later and voila, the pancakes were not on the bill. We put the credit card in the bill book and then she came and got it. She brought the bill book back and then a minute or so later, she came to the table next to us, picked up one of their plates and came to our table where she put that plate on our table and put our plates on top of that one (which, by the way had a half eaten pancake on it). This is one of the biggest NO NOs you can ever do. She also picked up the empty bill book. We gave her a tip in cash. As we were getting ready to go, she came by again, and said "this is my favorite part" and that is when she picked up the signed receipt and the tip. Honestly, I have NEVER had a server say that. Just when we thought the guy two weeks ago at dinner was bad, this one today was even worse. I dont know even if we will be back. The food is really good, but I can stay home and cook for myself and not have to pay for such lousy, disrespectful service.

Out of towers visiting a couple friends who are soon to be moving to the Cocoa area, they have been to Rustys on many occasions and we all agreed that we should try a different spot because the wife and I enjoy trying different spots all over the country. It always concerns me when I see such a large menu, this place should definitely cut the options down and concentrate on their strengths. First ordered the shark kabobs after being told they were available, the waitress even confirmed they were available before we placed our order, not three minutes after placing the order she comes out to tell us the kabobs are now no longer available. Very disappointing considering that was the main dish to attract me there, a big fan of properly cooked and seasoned shark! Additionally, I ordered the Seafood Alfredo(their menu says to bring an appetite), Ive had much better Seafood Alfredo at authentic Italian restaurants that truly mean "BRING AN APPETITE!" The friends we were visiting ordered the Ceasar Wrap with Tuna, I will not rate that meal because I did not try a bite, although I do know the tuna was ordered to be cooked at medium(I prefer mine rare) and they both mentioned their tuna was very dry and flavorless, leaving them to us extra Ceasar to moisten the tuna. They ordered the Bacon Wrapped Scallops as an appetizer, not something I would order after having tried theirs. The bacon was a very thin cut masked by a burnt flavor and the scallops were over cooked, I enjoy the flavor of a properly cooked scallop with the hint of bacon, especially a good smoked bacon. Not a fan of the environment either; when visiting coastal areas I prefer a laid back, beach genre of music. Grills, at least on this night, seemed to be more 80s rock groupies mixed with bayou gator hunters. The positive: I would not hesitate to place a to-go order of the Coconut Shrimp and the Fried Cheesecake! The shrimp comes with two sides; my wife ordered the Wild Rice and mixed vegetables, the shrimp was some of the most delicious Coconut Shrimp shes ever had and it came with two options of dipping sauces(not needed). Definitely leave room for the Fried Cheesecake!!! It is presented with whipped cream and a chocolate raspberry drizzle that could be eaten with a spoon, OH, and theres the fried cheesecake!

I have been visiting this place over two months however my last visit it seems like my money wasnt at all worth of the restaurant first I was overlooked by the staff at the counter and then today when I was at the counter to get the table the girl didnt even acknowledged me at all and left the menu at the table and went ahead to another table I was confused why would I be sitting at the table of 4 when I am just by myself however I was like OK I respect people who work in fast paced environment then since it was done by same attendants which over looked me and took people who came after me I ordered my food and guess what I was given a burnt toast?? I spoke to the waiter and asked if its possible for me to the speak to a manager as its uncomfortable to have a breakfast at place where attendants makes customer unvalued.. it wasnt over ... I spoke to the manager lady she said she never heard anything like that before and offer a discount which I denied as I want to pay what I suppose to as a customer and I gave my credit card to pay $9.some cents once I get to my place I saw I was charged twice $24.20 and $9.some cents which just makes me feel like is it how I/a customer should be treated? if this is how you train your staff to treat the customer than I rather prefer to spend my money and take my friends elsewhere and I know your business doesnt run on my money but a trust is what every customer look for... and its a shame that my honest suggestion and report employee behavior has to come out like this where I was charge 3x + more than what I should be!
