Breakfast was a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10! So what if you have a million dollar ocean view but youre treated like a slave! Be warned: If you are not white and you have any other accent than "what they like" you may receive "SLAVE" type service! Racists!! Worst experience in my life RG Owner wants specifics! You got it! When my son and I arrived at the "please wait to be seated" sign, we waited for an unusual amount of time before anyone ever acknowledged our presence. Strange, since we were the only ones in line? Then we are seated at a table with no one acknowledging they were our server. Then we are seated and ARE NOT offered anything to drink, no menu, nor given any silverware while others DO in Fact get their drinks, a menu and silverware. I have to beg the waitress to bring us even a simple spoon! The waitress then proceeds to BLATANTLY IGNORE us when I ask for a bottle of "Tabasco". She starts out bringing us the bottle but then is called over to another table where another lady asks her for the same bottle of Tabasco. (The other lady had never asked for the bottle at the beginning). My son and I wait another 3-5 minutes when by now I am upset! I get up to go to another table to get my own "Hot sauce" when Ms. wonderful decides to stop yacking with her co-worker and the same "White Lady" who asked for the bottle of hot sauce and finally decides to bring us a bottle of hot sauce. Then, the icing on the cake, when I asked for a refill of orange juice, Ms. wonderful snaps at me and says "There are NO refills! it says it right in the menu". How do I know it says that, when I never got a menu? What a racist idiot! I question her as to why other people are getting refills and we cant. She says its because the other group has 30 people and they worked out some type of agreement with the owners. Immediately after that I see another "White class of people" who had no connection to the 30 people group waltz in, get seated and on more that two occasions had their glasses of juice refilled, while my son and I were either forced to pay for another glass of juice or skip it all together! WHAT A JOKE! A perfect vacation for my family was ruined because someone decided to choose "COLOR OR LANGUAGE ACCENTS" over common decency!

Definitely wont go here again. I hate leaving bad reviews but unfortunately thats what this is. They didnt open for breakfast until 8 which is kinda late for a vacation town but when we went it wasnt even ready. If your not opening until 8 it should be hot and ready when the doors open. We had to wait 15 mins until they started putting stuff on the buffet and when you have hungry toddlers thats a long time. However we were disappointed in what they did put out there. No turkey bacon or sausage like I was told there would be when I sent a message the night before so for those of us that dont eat pork we had limited things to chose from. Eggs were tasteless, biscuits looked froze and no gravy. The bacon that was there was so greasy I wouldnt have eaten it. Pancakes tasted microwaved, and there were items we couldnt identify and when we ask the man said he didnt know what it was. Seriously how do you not know what your serving. The only thing it has going for it was the view and the waitress was trying to get people to not sit in the section with the view so she wouldnt have to serve everyone by herself. We were charge 2.50 for a small cup of milk for my son. Really? Thats ridiculous. Needless to say we paid 27 for a breakfast that wasnt very good. We went across the street the next day and had a great breakfast for half the price at 6am. Needs some work at this place for sure.

I am writing this a couple of months after my experience. Frankly I checked to see if this place was still in business because I suspected it would be gone by now. Food was minimal at BEST. Service ridiculous and slow and very unprofessional staff. Around 10 oclock a drag show started that seemed extremely inappropriate for Children and Families. However management did not do anything to discourage them coming in to be seated. Was very uncomfortable and bizarre. And to add insult to injury, the drag show was very third-rate. If you want good Italian food or an entertaining drag show dont go there. The only thing it has going for it is a view but it is not worth sitting through the rest of it just to look at the ocean.

I hate to write a bad review but they earned it! I live on the island and was happy to see them open up. The first 2 times my wife and I went it was outstanding. After that it was all down hill. Ive gone 3 more times in the past year or so hoping it would get better but its just gotten worse, with a tip it was over $100.00 and we only had one beer each. Our food sat on the serving tray beside the bar for a while before it was served to us, I was thinking someone is going to be pissed off if there food gets cold hanging out by the bar... Low and behold it was us, oh well lesson learned.

My husband and I wanted to try somewhere new and we were sadly dissapointed. The quality and quantity of selection was lacking to say the least. The buffet consisted of the basics, eggs (that were visibly old) bacon, overcooked sausage, biscuits, a large bowl of fruit and grits. No omelet station. The staff was not very attentive or friendly AND did break a cardinal rule when the waiter brought us our check WHILE we were still eating. As a former employee in the hospitality industry I can say this place needs some TLC !

Awful! Ordered chicken marsala. Got some mystery tasting meat that turned out to be veal. The pasta had the consistency of spaghettios. No bread or salad was offered. There were 12 of us. The last person was served at least an hour after the first one and then her dinner was wrong. One persons salmon came out raw. She returned it. The cook got mad and burned it to the point of being inedible. Then refused to make another. The waitress was embarrassed and did her best but the entire experience was a disaster.

We returned to La Dolce Vita last evening mainly because it is convenient and has a spectacular view of the ocean. On two previous visits we found the food just so-so. Much to our surprise and delight, there is a new chef in command, Chef Rob, This is authentic Italian. All four of us ordered pasta dishes that we never thought we could finish, but were unable to leave a morsel on our plates! Next time well save room for the awesome-sounding desserts. At last, fine dining on Tybee Island.

I dont like to leave bad reviews but I feel like its my duty with this one. Servers were very courteous and friendly and appetizer was mussels which were pretty good but food tasted like it came out of a Hungry Man frozen meal. I had chicken parmagianna and my husband had the veil. Meat was rubbery and pasta was regular spaghetti with a sauce that tasted like they drowned it in mayo. Very pricey for poor quality food .
