I use Aveda products and get my hair done at any aveda salon available when I travel. I tried to make an appointment at Whole Aveda in the Westfield mall in Clearwater Florida but the call was transferred to a call center that was loud with people yelling and laughing. The women who scheduled my appointment was rude and gave me attitude when I requested a master stylist. Later the same day I had to cancel my appointment and reschedule for the following day , the same lady answered at the call center. She was rude and agitated because I needed to reschedule. The loud commotion at the call center was so loud that at times she couldnt hear me on the phone. When I arrived for my appointment the two females at the register where so preoccupied with their cell phones that they didnt even notice me until I was standing in front of them. They put their phones away and checked me in for my appointment . To be fair both girls were nice to me . They need to keep their cell phone usage to personal breaks or go somewhere customers dont see it. My stylist was nice but his work station was filthy , hair was everywhere. I told him what I wanted and he began to cut my hair. He dropped his comb twice and picked it up off the filthy floor and replaced it with a new cutting comb WITHOUT sanitizing his hands. I almost screamed but I tried my hardest to keep my mouth shut and just get the experience over with. After the hair cut was done , I asked for certain products on my hair and he talked me out of it and choose products he wanted to use which irritated me. When he blow dryed my hair the left side of my hair cut was longer on the right side (by an entire inch) . I hated the cut and was dissatisfied with the blow dry. I said nothing because I didnt want to say anything I would regret and I literally just wanted to run out of the salon. I will still go to Aveda salons because the products are great and the service is usually just as great. This is the first time I had a negative experience making an appointment at an Aveda salon, having an uneven hair cut or having a stylist touch my hair after touching the filthy floor. So Im going to forgive and forget but I will NOT go back to this location. I just want to warn people about this particular location.

Management has gone down in the past two years. The Unprofessionalism , customer service , and lack of respect is what Aveda Countryside Mall stands for . I was a customer for over 4 years as of this past year, and finally stopped due to their services . They strive in product sales and non ethical rudeness over their very well known customers. Management is rude, inconsiderate, and is not personable with their customers. This is a huge factor when youre walking into a "beauty salon". Dont expect smiles from the stylist instead youll receive an eye look up and down and theyll go in the back and sit on their phones and chat while your hair processing for over 3 hours. Their customer service is at a 0. Most of the employees hate the salon and theyre only working to get through the week , as they will let you know during your service . I will continue to advise people to save your money, save your hair, save your time make and make an appointment with a different salon. Youre welcome .

5 stars and thumbs up to Dwayne at this salon! I came in a hot mess, with a bad, flat home dye job and an overgrown cheap cut.... and left looking and feeling great! Dwayne matched my roots, added delicate highlights throughout, and gave me the most precision haircut I have ever experienced. He was attentive to my tender head for comb out, but firm on the glorious scalp massage at the shampoo station. The whole crew here worked together like a family team, and if I had to give any negative comment it would be that I had heard Aveda salons could give you a glass of wine to round out your experience, but this mall location cant. Boo. Overall a great experience, and I look like a million bucks! (If I say so myself)

Sarah (front desk women) and Alexea (stylist) were absolutely amazing! Its been so difficult for me to find a stylist that I felt comfortable with. Sarah was so knowledgeable about the production and talked very highly about the company, she kept conversation while I waited for my hair apt. Alexea was amazing to say the least, she did everything I had asked for, exceeding expectations. She was very kind and explained each product she used on me. She saw my damaged areas and made a plan for us to fix them! I am beyond happy that I met these women, I wont go anywhere else after such a great experience!

I loved my experience at Whole Aveda Countryside! Dwayne is the best there is! I live in New Tampa and drive to countryside mall because I know Dwayne will take the time to give me exactly what I want. Hes professional, skilled, flexiable and hes dyed my hair and cut it and Im never disappointed and always in love with my hair. I love that its more than just a haircut you feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Already sent one of my friends to Dwayne and he hair turned out amazing as well! -Julia

Butchered my long hair. The stylist has no concept of when/where to use texturizing shears my hair is ruined and will take years to grow back. Very expensive bad haircut. I expect a more knowledgeable stylist for that kind of money. Basicly, for long straight hair texturizing should only be used minimal on the ends or not at all even. I went there to get a better hair cut and now my hair is in worse shape then before. These people need better training.

I absolutely love Aveda at Countryside. The customer service, manager, and stylists treat their guests with respect and an authentic sense of care for the overall experience. From the minute I walk up to the desk to the time Im leaving the chair, I feel extremely relaxed in the environment. I have been going to Lizzy consistently for coloring and cuts, and I feel like a queen each time. I would highly recommend this salon to others.

Aveda puts on an upscale front when in reality they give some of the worst haircuts imaginable. I went in to get a trim and walked out two hours later with the bottom layer of my hair three inches shorter than the top layer. I had to go to a different salon the next day to fix what Aveda had called a good haircut. I was better off dropping acid at a frat party and trying to cut my hair myself than going to Aveda.

I cant express enough how wonderful this salon is. The staff are attentive and extremely courteous. I highly recommend the Aveda products from hair and skin care to cosmetics. I have been a client of Ashley Ellens for awhile now, and I have never been disappointed with the results. She takes the time to make you feel welcomed and works within your budget. I always feel so beautiful after leaving her chair.
