Below is the email I sent to Pep Boys Customer care. I was promised a call back within 48 hours from senior management that never occured. Not only do they not care about their customers at the store level but they obviously share the same "Culture" at the senior level. I would never step foot in a Peop Boys Store again : I just left your store in Clermont fl. We stopped for lunch and realized our coolant was running all over the parking lot. I always have had good experiences at your stores. We had lunch and I Googled Pepper Boys and to our relief there was one right across the street. We "crippled" our car over and went to the service counter. We were 3rd in line and waited a half hour for him to complete his task at hand at a snails pace. There were many aggravated people behind me. I would have left but we were at that point at the mercy of the shop. He finally called us up and I told him I was stranded due to coolant leaking every where. His comment " I dont think we have time to look at it" mind you it is 2:30pm and the store doesnt close until 8pm. You may want to consider hiring people that have a little empathy. Did I mention my wife was with me? I looked at him and walked away. I went out, popped the hood and fortunately it was the upper radiator hose clamp that had broke and the hose came off. I went in and bought a clamp, a screwdriver, and coolant, and fixed myself. My loyalty to Pepper Boys is now gone. dishonest or incompetent? I took my wifes kia suv there friday with the battery light on. They test it and say I need a new battery ($142). i go to leave after getting the new battery and the light is STILL ON. So I pull back in and now they say its the alternater ($400+). So i tell them to put my original battery back in and ill take it somewhere else..I go to action gator tire on state road 50 after leaving there and they tell me my original battery is FINE and i just need a new alternater thus saving me the $142 pep boys tried to have me spend on a battery I didnt need. Are they incompetent and almost cost me $142 i didnt need to spend? or are the dishonest and tried to sell me a battery i didnt need? either way im not going back and im thankful i told them to stop and ill go somewhere else thus saving me $142 on the battery i didnt need

They are crooks. They had my car for over 2 hours for a simple a.c. refill of Freon. When they have me my car back they told me I needed to rebuild my whole a.c. unit because it wont work. I leave my a.c. worked for the first time in a month, but now my heat doesnt work. I then took my car to my normal mechanic who worked on my car before I ever bought it said they messed up my a.c. and it wasnt the he had last seen it, I dont work on my own car. Will never go back to these crooks again. And in top of it all the Customer service agent who spoke to me put me down and tried to embarrass me in front of other customers.Ill stuck with auto zone, advanced, or orileys at least they are honest

I purchased 2 replacement lamps for my tail lights. Went with LED for longevity. One set didnt fit in the housing and the other didnt work out of the package. Returned and exchanged for regular bulbs which worked perfectly. Holding back 2 stars though because the time it takes to find what you need really depends on who you get to help you. The first time in I had some kid help me and although he was helpful and friendly it took 20 minutes to find 2 bulbs for my truck. The second time in it took under 10 minutes to find the incandescent versions, get a refund, and purchase the new ones thanks to the fact that it was the manager who waited on me.

The Clermont location is absolutely horrible! Checked online and called the store to verify they had a tire for my car, both said yes. Went in to get my tire changed and I was told they dont carry that specific brand. Danny was the employee assisting me and he was so unprofessional and rude. Being that I have a family member who works for HR at Pep Boys, I expected much more. Extremely disappointed in their lack of customer service. No countermeasures were offered to change my tire, even though I explained to Danny that I was informed that they had a replacement tire at their location.

They are horrible on under standing what your are looking for. They have no knowledge about most cars and trucks. Half of them barley know English it seems like. Ive came in before asking for tires to be put on my rim as well not balanced or anything just put on a rim there was no tire in it previously either it would take 10mins to do. They informed that the mechanic was to busy and can clearly see that he is not he was sitting down and just wondering the whole shop there. I wont be doing my business at or sharing this location with others.

I priced tires pep boys online: $440. I called and verified they were there and could be installed today. They told me it wasnt a problem. I went to the store to get them installed: $752! After showing them their own site and price, they still wanted $752. the clerk just said "its out of my control." He even told me to go home and order online then come back and get them installed. I left and bought my tires at Firestone instead. I paid $30 more but I didnt get a hassle. Trust for Pep Boys in Clermont, FL is in the toilet.

Went this morning at approximately 8:15 am to possibly get new battery terminals. Was told no one could look at it. I asked if they could at least test the battery and was again told no as they had no "staff" to do it. Meanwhile I saw three employees in the store. The older gentleman that told me this was condescending and called me "dear." I simply left and took my business to Firestone where they were polite and helpful. Never again to Pep Boys.

I am usually very wary of auto mechanics as Ive dealt with many who would try to rip me off but the people who work at Pep Boys are very nice and honest with me about my car repairs. Such great customer service. Though the repairs were very costly, they had coupons that really helped. I would recommend going to Danny Harper at the Clermont store. Hes personal with you and helps you with every step of the way. Thank you Pep Boys!

Customer service at this store is without compare. From the moment you enter the store to a greeting to every employee including management attention to detail is the order of the day. Commitment to excellence is obvious and they stand behind their work going out of their way to ensure the customer is satisfied. It feels like visiting friends when I take my vehicles for repair or service.
