My experience at Tuffy on E. Hwy 50 in Clermont is a classic “let’s-pull-one-over-on-the ignorant-lady-who-knows-nothing-about-cars” that we’ve all heard about. I like to believe that people are generally honest, but after being told something was wrong with my ’08 Corolla every time I went in for an oil change, I started to become suspicious. I told them that my car was shaking between 60-70 mph, but not at lower or higher speeds, and that I needed an oil change and tire rotation and balance. I was told I needed a new front right bearing (to fix the shaking) and front end brake service. Also, a fuel injection cleaning, transmission flush (even though they did one at 45,000 miles and it was in their computer—shouldn’t need one for quite some time), brake fluid exchange, and brake adjustment, coming to a total of roughly $1,000. I laughed and said to just do the oil change, please. Another person came in and tried to get me to do the bearing and brakes, as it was a “safety issue” and needed immediate attention. After being asked numerous times if there was “anything we can do to help out with the price” so I could do the work today, they would work with me. I repeated that I did not have the time to spare and would come back if needed. The next day I took my car to J & D Auto near the Lakeridge Winery for a second opinion. They did a complete inspection on my car and said nothing was wrong with it. Brakes were fine as was the bearing. All fluids looked good and nothing was needed at this time. As for the shaking, the tire rotation and balance took care of that. I will never use Tuffy again, and now J & D have a customer for life due to their honesty.

Went here for 2 tires, mine were SO bad, waited for 2 1/2 hours (was told 1 hr) and then they didnt even do my alignment b/c some other guys wheel fell off, so I was told to come back and I needed another tire replaced. My hubby noticed instead of taking off the ripped one (where my 1 yr old sits) they just replaced the front 2, not moving good ones to the back. Ordered 2 other tires, left car there all day, went to pick it up and was told only 1 came in. By this time between tires and alignment I have been here 4 times now still with only 3 tires. My husband was told for our inconvenience the 4th tire would be free so we dropped it off this morning and we wet to pick it up we were told that he decided he could no longer just give us a tire. So after 5 trips, 2 late days to work and one day I left early, I have have 4 tires. I will NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE, deal with this team of shady business man. Customer Service is something I hold dear, I will pay 2x somewhere else next time to get it all done at once and right! AVOID TUFFY IN CLERMONT!

Im new to the Clermont area and my car decided to act up, it started to leak coolant all over the place. There are several places in the area to take your car for repairs, but I took it to Tuffy Auto Repair on Highway 50 and Im very glad about my decision. There were probably 4 other cars in the lot before I even got there. The new owner was very nice and drove me home so that I dont have to wait there. Within an hour the manager called me to tell me what the repairs were, and how much it was going to cost. When I went in to pay, they gave me some free coupons for oil change and any future repairs. I couldnt have been more pleased! So for the car is running great, and I know if something else comes up I will be taking my car to Tuffy on Highway 50.

We are very glad that we got our brakes done at Tuffy on Highway 50 in Clermont. The new owner Sam and his staff are the most genuinely down-to-earth and honest people we have ever had to deal with. The store manager took time to show me what’s wrong with my brakes and gave me flexible options to fix them. When I told the owner Sam that I got a doctor’s appointment and can’t wait long, he personally went and got the necessary parts and got my car fixed very quickly. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to get my car repaired and will definitely recommend this Tuffy to my friends, family and colleagues.

I took my Toyota Corolla to Tuffy on Highway 50 last week and Im very impressed with the service I received. They have professional staff, clean showroom to wait in and you feel like the mechanics are actually happy to help you. They took the time to show me whats wrong with my car and made sure I understood their recommendations. They gave me great payment options that made it affordable for me to get my car fixed the same day. I fully recommend Tuffy on Hwy 50 in north Clermont and will take my car nowhere else as long as live in Central Florida.

more expensive then nearby places....I bought a tire there and it started "leaking" after three months. I had a warranty and they gave me a new tire but THEN THEY HAD THE GALL TO CHARGE ME TO MOUNT AND UNMOUNT THE TIRE and charged me for a new warranty(which I really didnt want since I refuse to ever deal with this place again. while I was waiting they tried to up-sell a mother with a young child, telling her her transmission and something else fluids were contaminated.( the woman had come in for a mere oil change)

I had an intermittent problem with my Town Car where it would occasionally not start. I took it to the local Ford dealer but they could find nothing wrong after a full day of testing. I took it to Tuffy who spent two days extensively testing the vehicle and found a faulty fuel pump assembly. Its been 6 weeks since they repaired it and the car runs just fine. I believe they have had a change over in management and help. Most of the previous posts were from 2.5 years ago. I would suggest you give them another try.

BreezeWay Cafe & Bakery

Incomplete and substandard oil change service. Did not check or top off typical operating fluids. Did not lube chassis. Did not check and fill tire air pressure. Advertised oil change special price at $14.95 actual cost ended up over $30. I should have bought the oil and filter and changed it myself with my teenage boy. It would have been a better learning experience for him. These place suck. Scam and bait and switch consumers. I feel sorry for women and seniors.

Unbelievable incompetence!!! Went for rotation/balance. They scratched rims taking tires off. Tires bounce at 60 mph brought it back. Re balanced and they re rotated saying it was "radial pull". Finally brought it to the dealer and the dealer said they failed to remove the old balance weights on the inside of the tires before they rebalanced them. Idiots! They also stole the money we left in the console (yes we knew better). Avoid this place.
