After my car was totaled I bought a used car from a "pretty" auto repair and body shop on the east coast (in Pompano...steer clear!) I was lied to and in less than 6 weeks the cars required extensive repairs: wheel bearing, control arm, oil sensor, emissions valve, lug nuts and bolts, and 4 tires. Boy, they must have seen me coming. I found Doug at Alico Automotive by reading Google reviews and decided to take a chance on them. This was the best thing that came out of a bad situation. Based on the estimate I got from the Chrysler dealership, I saved about 25%. The service is truly like the neighborhood garage I grew up with. Very friendly and they care about what they are doing. They do the right thing for their customers and keep them safe. Thank you for restoring my faith in car care. These guys are keepers!

Traveling from Miami back to Pinellas Park on Saturday 12-8-2012 we had a front wheel bearing go out east of Fort Myers. Towing was going to cost $462, and the truck will still need repaired. The tow truck driver put me in contact with a gentleman at Alico Automotive who offered to repair my truck for a lot less so it will be ready later in the day even if he had to stay late. Unfortunately we couldnt hang around and head to head north but he said it will be ready on Monday morning. His prices were not thru the roof. If I ever break down in that area again I will be sure to contact Alico Automotive. THANK YOU UPDATE: Picked up my truck this morning, 12-10-2012, and drove it back to Pinellas Park... PERFECT!! Your name has slipped my memory but I want to thank you for a fine job repairing my truck.

"My cars Air Conditioning went out last week and i was dreading fixing it becouse the money isnt right these days. I called around a few places, but the guy at Alico Automotive spend a lot more time with me on the phone and understood about the money situation. So i decided to give them a try. When i got there they were awesome, they even gave me a ride to work while my car was getting fixed so i wasnt stuck there all day waiting for a part that was a few hours away. I was so happy driving away in my "refrigerator". They did a fantastic job fixing it, and cheaper then i was expecting. My roommate and I recently moved and both needed our cars serviced. We did our research and found that Alico Automotive Auto Repair came the mostly highly recommended. It is a 30 minute drive from our place, but WELL worth the drive. It turned out that we both had significant damage to each of our cars rendering them unsafe to drive. Doug did an outstanding job not only repairing them quickly, but explaining the problems to us and was friendly & professional throughout all of our encounters. The prices are much less expensive than a dealership. I will be taking my car here from now on. I HIGHLY recommend Alico Automotive.

I am so happy to say that I finally have a local Automotive repair shop that I would highly recommend. Alico Automotive took great care when it came to the needed repairs for my 2002 Lincoln Town Car. My car is running great. I am very impressed with their pricing, knowledge and service. I was so happy with my service that I dropped my husbands truck of for an oil change and tire rotation and balance. So if you need a large repair or minor maintenance this is the place for you. I am happy to give this local business a 5 star rating.

I lucked out finding this place when I first started attending college. I have been going here for years with my many unfortunate car problems. I have asked for advice with selling my car for the first time and have even been told that there was nothing wrong with my tires when he could have easily lied to me because I believed there was a problem. He even refilled the air in them as well for no cost. People are surprised when I tell them how little it costs to get my car repaired when I go here.

The other reviews were right about this place, its great. Great prices, very accurate with what needs to be done and not trying to get you to do things you dont need. My son is going to college in the area and he needed an oil change and I was worried about where he should go since he doesnt know the area. They did his oil change quickly and also checked his tires etc to make sure all was good. They found a nail in the tire and fixed it for him. It was great the way they took care of him.

I highly recommend Alico Automotive. I went there after a friend referred me. Doug is a kind, honest, knowledgeable guy. My car wouldnt start and he clearly explained and showed me the cause. He even saved the bad starter to show me when after the job was complete. The new starter Doug installed sounds much better than the crappy one Tire Kingdom put in my car ever did, even when it was new. Doug also didnt "find more problems" and try to charge more. He was quick, reasonable and fair.

This is the place to go! I know nothing about cars and even less about fixing them. This place stayed open late on a friday to let me pick up my truck for the weekend. Ask for Doug there - hell look after you professionally and honestly. When the battery was removed from the truck my stereo went into anti-theft mode and I didnt know the code to unlock. Doug personally told me to take it to the dealer and bring back the receipt so he could reimburse me! I wont go anywhere else.

Im visiting my mother, she needed her Chevy Cobolt serviced and checked over. I made an appointment with Alico and they got me right in. Changed the oil for $25 plus tax and gave me an estimate for tires and brakes and cabin filter. After I paid, I asked if the washer fluid was filled with the service. Was told yes. I should have checked before driving away. Because just discovered that it was not. Hate being lied to. Not sure if I will even go back to have them fill it or not

I recently came into Alico Auto because of a knocking sound in my motor. Other shops claimed it would be a high-dollar fix, but the guys here were very thorough and conscientious. They were able to fix the problem easily and at a fair price. They also did not have to do any extensive work after correctly analyzing the problem. This shop is affordable and reliable. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and honest. I will definitely trust them with any future auto repairs.

These guys are crooks, avoid at all costs. Charged me 1000 dollars to exchange my ignition and broke a part in my steering wheel and then tried to tell me it was broken before the car was in the shop, after arguing for 10 minutes he finally agreed to fix it if I paid for the part??!!!??. I refused and left never to return again. honestly, I would hired a trained monkey to work on my car before I let this fat polish sausage eating greasy perjurer touch my car ever again
