Apparently I expressed interest in a vacation package TWO YEARS ago. I dont really recall that, but if thats what the computer says so be it. Since then I have been inundated with calls offering me vacation packages. Every time I am called I tell them I am no longer interested and please take me off your call list. The calls keep coming. I usually just hang up on them AFTER expressing my desire to be "delisted." Today I decided to engage their solicitor in conversation to find out who these guys are and why they continue to pester me. I asked to speak to a supervisor, was placed on hold, then disconnected. I called back and asked again to speak to a supervisor. I was told all the supervisors were in the lobby, having a meeting. (In the lobby?) I asked to be taken off their call list. The telemarketer I spoke with agreed to do so then hung up on me. I called back, got another telemarketer (They hate being called that. They are account representatives or something like that I was told.) The young lady whos name I dont know (they never give their names) again assured me she would take me off their call list and it may take 24-48 hours. When I asked her why the other 2-dozen times I asked to be taken off the list it didnt happen she could only apologize and tell me it is company policy to remove a name per a victims request, and that she would do it. Then she started the standard sales routine of turning the conversation around and asking me why I requested information on their vacation packages in the first place. I told her that was TWO YEARS AGO and I dont have a clue, but I know Im not interested NOW! (a salesperson to the end, she was!) Lets see if I get any more calls. If I do, Im going to have to turn this over to the authorities (attorney general, state trade commission?)

Jim Gordon, the owner, planned and led a tour of Europe which I took several years ago. Because of his connections and his experience living in Europe, he was able to arrange stops at locations I would not have been able to plan myself -- a hike in the Swiss Alps during which we didnt encounter any other Americans, lodgings at charming bed and breakfasts, a stay in an Austrian village accessible only by ferry and a visit to a museum with early Celtic artifacts. When our flight was cancelled, he quickly arranged a substitute flight and we kept on schedule.

Jim helped us plan a trip to Croatia & Slovenia with a 1-week stop in Paris at the end and did a fabulous job - got us great plane tickets - both price and times were far better than we could have done on our own. Do yourself a favor & let Jim take care of the hassles - Ill never sit on the computer again struggling with itineraries etc when he can do it for me - AND save money$$$!
