Horrible to say the least!!!! I am an enthusiast music lover and what could have been a wonderful experience turned out into a bit of a nightmare. Carlos Santana, been a big fan since I was 6 or 7 years old. Night of the concert is raining, friends and I know that this is an open venue, we were supposed to have seats but we wanted to get there early. Concert, as per the ticket states that event starts at 7 PM. We get to the designated parking area(about 4-5 blocks away) at about 5:45 PM; we were supposed to be taken by shuttle buses to where the concert was going to be held. The closest parking lot was charging $50.00 and with a reservation. We parked, asked one of the parking attendants were the buses were, he did not know. We start walking, then get to where there were about 5-6 buses, and waited for about 20 minutes under the rain to “board one of these buses” but no one showed up. Finally a kind driver stopped and told us that we needed to walk about another mile to be picked up. So we walked some more. Then we get to the "security" screening area before boarding the buses. The rudest, nastiest guy starts walking around the line telling people that blankets, big bags and "handbags" of a certain size are not allowed (mind you, mine was small for practicality) and that he was not going to allow us to board the bus and we needed to take them back to the car, as simple as that, "I wont let you board a bus, this is a Trump event and this is different." There was no posting of these rules anywhere, not on the tickets, not anywhere to be seen. So our choice again, walked back to the car, risking that it could be broken into since a lot of people had to take purses and other things to the car. We finally get to the place of the concert, 7:10 PM. Right at the entrance after they scanned the tickets, "Oh, BTW, are you aware that Carlos Santana starts playing at 10 PM? WTH!!! I saw him last year at the casino resort in Hollywood and the wait has never been this long. Whatever..... We walked in, then we see people with blankets, backpacks and I even saw a few chairs. Helloooooo. Started looking for "our AMEX designated area” yeah, right. If you did not get VIP you were totally screwed. For the rest of the people, including my friends and me, though luck. See if you can find a spot where you might be able to catch a glimpse of the stage, as someone had the brightest idea to block the view with concession stands in the middle. Thank you very much!!! We were wet, with nothing to sit on and unable to view the stage. By the time Carlos Santana started playing at 9:50 we were beat, 12 of us. We stayed there until about 11 PM, did not want to stay till the end to avoid the crowd leaving. I have never been to a more disorganized concert venue. I am very disappointed, was extremely upset last night. And.... I would never go back there.

I decided to take my girlfriend out for a nice dinner at the BLT Prime restaurant in the hotel. When I arrived, I was informed that there was a valet discount for guests eating at the restaurant. This option was supposed to be cheaper than self-parking, so I chose to valet my car while we went and ate dinner. After returning to my car from dinner we proceeded to drive back to our place where I then realized that there were contents in my car that I couldn’t find. I figured I must have moved them to my trunk at some point and then forgotten; but after opening my trunk I realized EVERYTHING IN MY CAR WAS STOLEN. As soon as I realized all of my belongings were missing I proceeded to call the resort and explain what happened to a manager. The manager directed me to the valet company because the valets are contracted out to the resort and they are not actual employees of the hotel. After discussing and explaining my situation with several people over the phone I received absolutely NO HELP. I struggled to even get a call back. The only information I could get was that the parking garage where the cars are keep does not have any video security inside it. After getting nowhere with the valet company, I contacted the resort and expressed my concern. I received the same treatment from the resort staff. NO ONE WOULD RETURN MY CALLS after promising they would look into the situation and the end result was the hotel saying they can’t do anything about it. So both the resort and valet company both insisted that this couldn’t have happened on their property even though the time period at the hotel was the only time anyone had access to my car when my belongings went missing. I lost nearly $2,000 worth of items from my car due to the left and NEVER RECEIVED EVEN AS MUCH AS A CALL BACK from the resort to help resolve the situation. If you are considering this resort as a destination for any reason I highly recommend looking elsewhere before you become the next victim.

This past March the PGA TOUR hosted the WGC - Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral-Miami. Working for the TOUR and this tournament in particular I had the opportunity to stay on site during the tournament. I had a room in the Jack Nicklaus Villa on the 3rd floor. Whether you like Trumps politics or not, his properties are spectacular. Like John Hammond in Jurrasic Park, hes "spared no expense" when it comes to Trump National Doral. The room was everything you could ask for or want in a room at a hotel/resort. The bed was absolutely delicious. While I didnt need the dozen super plush pillows on the bed, they were exceptionally comfortable. It surely didnt take me long to fall asleep once I jumped in. The shower had ample space, great water pressure, and a thick glass door which actually kept the water inside and not on the bathroom floor (un-like some hotel showers). The tv was larger than you really need as was the desk and the closet. There are two excellent restaurants on the resort - BLT and Champions. Both offer great food and drink choices, though BLT will put a larger hole in your wallet. During the tournament I didnt have any time to hit the resorts pool, brand new tennis courts, or renovated spa, but I have no doubt theyre all exceptional. If youre on Miamis west side for business, or near the airport, you should definitely consider staying at Trump National Doral-Miami. You wont be disappointed. Oh, and bring your clubs for a round of golf on one of the 4 courses located at the resort, including the famed Blue Monster.

I just came home to Tampa Bay after a 2 night stay at the Trump National Doral. I come down to Miami to have some R&R and I thought I would try the Trump brand before a trip to Las Vegas. Without a doubt this will now be my families go to place while in Miami. Although I did not get to indulge in the amenities because of my short stay and planned itinerary I will say the staff here is exemplary. From the time I was dropped off till I left this morning I knew without a doubt if I needed anything they would be there. I tend to be pretty independent when I travel and only call on help when needed, but it was comforting to know that if I needed assistance they were available. I was greeted with smiles from employees on every level of staff. The room service staff was excellent. I usually take advantage of in room dining because I frequently travel alone and the young men I met were top notch. Ordering was a breeze and arrival was usually estimated at approximately 40 minutes and arriving in 20. The location is beautiful and far enough away yet close to everything. My room although next to the entrance of my villa and housekeeping was quiet. The rooms are well maintained and the beds were extremely comfortable. Ive stayed at many luxury properties and the sleep I received was needed. I look forward to visiting Trump Las Vegas and also bringing my family down for a few days of fun at Trump National Doral.
