My brother recommended this place after he got his truck transmission fixed here. When my brother dropped the car off Beau had stated that he thought the problem was the turbine speed sensor. Since I as the owner of the car had not yet spoken to Beau myself I called up there to introduce myself and also ask if he felt the output sensor should also be replaced per the Ford recommendations. Beau quickly snapped at me and said "I hate when you people start diagnosing your own car issues, are you a mechanic?" Uhhh, "no, I said I am not and I dont pretend to know anything about cars, I am simply asking a question" well, he didnt get any friendlier on the call so I said my goodbyes and blew it off as him simply having a bad day. The following day I called to see if the part had come in and when they thought I would have the car back, I spoke to MIchelle on the phone whom was very nice and helpful. She said she didnt know the status but that she would go ask Beau, after an extended period of time on hold (close to 4 minutes) she came back and said "Beau has already had this conversation with your brother" I stated "well, it is my car so if he could have that conversation with me as well that would be great and left my number for him to call" I received a call maybe 10 minutes later from my brother that Beau is not interested in working on my car and that I should come and pick it up. Now mind you, this shop is over an hour from my house and the transmission was slipping which I why I had the car taken in in the first place. When I asked why Beau was not interested in fixing my car my brother stated that Beau stated I was "harrasing him. Um, I didnt realize that making two calls would be considered "harrasing" I would think that any reasonable person would consider that to be a car owner simply wanting to be kept in the loop about the status of their car. In any case, I warn you if you are considering using this place that Beau has a serious issue when dealing with women, he is a pompous ass that considers himself too important to keep his customers in the know about what is wrong with their car or even what the anticipated time that you could receive your car back from him is. I was actually really happy that this didnt work out because I found a very customer focused and HONEST mechanic just down the street from where I live that was also almost $200 less than Beau had quoted and I got BOTH sensors replaced (as Ford recommends).

A1 Automotive is an excellent establishment and I highly recommend them to everyone. I have taken my car there several times with good end results. Just recently I had to make a last minute trip to Pennsylvania to visit my dad and was worried about my car making it there/back, but had to try regardless. Brought it in first chance on a Monday morning hoping they would have an opening to look it over despite all but one parking spot filled when I pulled up. I explained my situation and immediately Beau & Michelle had my car pulled in. The axels, timing belt, & radiator were all replaced at a reasonable price within two days. We saw many cars on the side of the road on the drive back to Florida and thanks to A1 automotive we were not amongst them! It is extremely difficult to find a trustworthy, reliable, and quality mechanic that gives reasonable quotes. Finding A1 Automotive was like finding a needle in a haystack.

I chose to take my 1993 Honda Accord to this establishment based on their positive reviews of their business from the website. I have been aware of this establishment for numerous years. From the street passing by its always been clean and well-organized from the outside. I have always had a desire to do business with these folks, if my vehicle needed repairing. I sure am glad did. I met Beau and explained explicitly what I needed done to my car and my concerns that I had. He called me promptly back when they diagnosed it and gave me an estimate. The final repair cost were lower than the estimate. My car is operating at top-notch. I am so happy. I will be keeping this car for another 250000 miles and as long as these people are in business working on automobiles. thank you so much A 1 Automotive. Mr. Ryon

They spent over an hour and a half trying to align my car (concluded that the frame is bent from a previous hit), so Beau said theres No Charge!!! I was blown-away! He said he couldnt charge me because he couldnt provide what he would be charging me for... aligning my car! He even advised me that itll cost more than the car is worth (94 Honda Accord) to straighten the frame and replace all the bushings just to get the alignment right. I feel bad since he did spend an 1 1/2 hrs of his time trying to get it done? So I will send as many people his way to make up for the time he lost with me. Good Shops are hard to find.

He will tell me if something is urgent or if it can wait a while, and I feel totally comfortable sending my wife there alone.
