Canceling my membership based on extremely poor interactions with club staff, including confrontations and inappropriate communications. This applies to myself, as well as other members I have seen mistreated by a very entitled staff. An employee (manager) refused me entry into the club one day when I forgot my keys. I had verified my information before to gain entry, but this time the employee refused to let me do so. After trying to talk sense into him, and explain that I am a paying customer, I told him that the situation was f-ed up and I would like to speak to his General Manager. After being refused again, I walked out and was subsequently confronted by the employee who appeared to want to engage in a physical altercation. Absolutely unacceptable. I have witnessed confrontations between staff and members after an alleged intrusion of privacy and possible theft by an employee of the organization (he was allegedly caught red-handed in a members locker). The entire experience has been unsatisfactory and I am sorry I wasted as much money as I have on this club which I dont even go to anymore because its an uncomfortable environment. Their billing practices include hidden fees, and built-in programs making it difficult to cancel. I would find another gym to join locally, this place is poor excuse of a local business and doesnt deserve your business.

The management is a joke, no customer service. They billed my card on the 17th five days latter they sent my account to collections. Keep in-mind my account is paid in full at this point. very rude over the phone, not willing to correct this issue over the phone, they could have simply looked up the payment amount and the date to find the the transaction for 109 in their system. So I go into the gym to correct this issue in person and they find their mistakes..... I received no apology for their errors. Three days after they corrected their billing mistakes, I am still receiving 2 calls a day from a collection agency. If this matter is not resolved Im seeking legal actions because theyre liable for damages to my credit. I cant believe that pivotal fitness sent someone to collections when their account is current. My two-year contract just ended so I am more than happy to cancel my gym membership :-) so I go into the gym and the Same general manager says my account is canceled and is done, but I know better because of the same billing mistake generated a new account under misspelled name thats still billing my card. I think my account is canceled at this point but you never know with pivotal fitness. The gym was clean and some of the staff was nice, The management is a joke for this reason I cant recommended this gym.

I absolutely love this club...When I first moved to Florida I was hoping that I would be able to get back into the gym. After three years of physical neglect, my once in shape body was now over 40lbs of fat heavier...I know disgusting. I was hoping that I would be able to get even 3 solid days in weekly. I called and spoke to Ezra and decided to go in to meet with him. This feels like a hard core gym, people there are serious about training. It doesnt feel primal, just serious. People are here to work out, this is not a pick up spot. (Then again I am a bit overweight...lol). This place has really motivated me, I now get in anywhere from 5-6 serious workouts weekly. I even convinced my wife to join although we have a full service gym at the building where we live. She now gets in 5-6 days a week as well. Were both doing the personal training, Im with Mike, shes with Carol. The head trainer Doug is awesome, I text this guy all the time with "what can I eat" questions. This is a great gym, you should definitely give it a shot.

Wish there was a button for HORRIBLE SERVICE & COMPANY!!! Hidden fees and company forces people to stay stuck in contracts. I was told that there would be no problem cancelling my contract, if I had to move or had medical situation. Horrible customer service & care of current customers. Sounds like a great deal, till you have an issue arise... called several times leaving messages with customer service & even visited gym for help... not call backs to follow up or anything yet I have to deal with my problem with no help from the very place I was directed to from their call line. Do not use this company, they pull a total bait & switch just to pack the place up... After being open a year here, now Ive been seeing lots of people have issues with them, due to their cancelation policy which they are not clear or open about! Besides that equipment is not maintained well after a year of being open or fixed when broken... missing clips for equipment, quick rigs used to supplement equipment rather than replace parts or buy new parts.

A lot of people complain about cancelling their membership with Pivotal. I canceled in June of 2013 and had no problems. I actually really enjoyed this gym! Their personal trainers also teach free classes to members there and the classes were GREAT! Good variety and the teachers were just awesome! They have all the equipment a person needs here. No pool or sauna or tennis/basketball courts though...but they do have all the workout equip a person could ever want! Lots of hot people go to this gym including the teachers/trainers and everyone is friendly. The price is $30 a month...dont be fooled by them waiving the "$200 signup fee for you" they do that for everyone lol. They also charge a once a year random $50 maintenance fee which is kind of silly...but otherwise I LOVED this gym and highly recommend!!!! Easy signup, easy cancellation and fun friendly environment.

The gym itself is fine. Clean, decent equipment. A solid B. Then I had to have surgery on my legs. Called them up - spoke to a manager, send in a Doctors note and as assured that my membership would be cancelled. It had been over two years, so I wasnt under contract - just paying monthly. They billed my card for 9 months after. Each time Id have to file a complaint and go through the dispute process again. The gym and the main office lied outright to me, and sent phony paperwork to American Express trying to back up their claim! Luckily as I pointed out to American Express, I had not spelled my own name incorrectly, nor had my signature (which theyve known for 20 years ) all of a sudden change. At that point I lost it. Amex found against them and refunded me anything but a company that dummies paperwork to keep billing you is really evil. Would never tell anyone to go.

This gym is GREAT! The very best equipment I have ever seen in Fort Lauderdale. I find the other reviews interesting because there are no hidden fees. You can pay month to month (like I did) or you can get into a contract for no enrollment fee. Parking sometimes is a pain during peak times, but what gym doesnt have that problem? Tangerine doesnt work at this location- probably doesnt even come within 100 feet of it. Way better ownership/management from Pivotal and they have really nice staff! I heard the old firm/downtown stories, but I seriously doubt history is repeating itself considering this is BRAND NEW everything...owners, completely renovated building and new equipment. Only suggestion would be more group fitness classes, but other than that- this is the BEST gym for your money, time, etc. So glad Pivotal came to Fort Lauderdale!
