If you have been looking for "THE" place to go to get your hair done, I highly recommend Rumours Hair Design. In the almost 5 years Ive been in Florida, first year in Hollywood on the east coast and then moving to Fort Myers, I thought I would never find anyone who could do my hair the way I wanted it done. Then I found Rumours! I have been going there for about a year and after viewing their stylists on their site I chose Heather. She does such a fantastic job and Ive never felt the need to have anyone else do my hair. Having been a Redken girl for most of my adult life, I got introduced to other products which are amazing. My favorites are Nioxin Diamax and Joico products. Thank you Heather! My hair has been fine all my life. Once I got in my 60s it also started to thin. I have tried other products...the Nioxin shampoo and condition, as well as the Aquage Biomega products, which are all great, but my favorites are still the Diamax and Joico. Heather has taken me to short, fun and easy cuts to my now wanting to grow out my hair. The highlights are the best, the cuts are always great and you really have to experience the relaxed atmosphere while being pampered on a houseboat in the City of Fort Myers Yacht Basin. Life doesnt get any better than this. Heather...thank you for always making me feel special and looking the best I can.

I visited the salon yesterday for the first time for a "not so easy to do" reason (color correction). I found a lovely place with a unique ambience. But at that moment that was the least of my concernes since I was extremely worried about the near future of my very long hair which i mistakenly colored with a way too dark shade. A lovely lady named Heather reached me and sit with me for more than 30 minutes and very calmly explained to me my options and eventually the results I would have gotten from each of them. I immediately felt reassured. Heather did an outstanding job, and now I am back to an haircolor which is way better than the one I initially hoped and wished to go back to. My hair is not even damaged as Heather told me from the start that the health of my hair was her highest priority. Conclusions: even if you are not in need of a major procedure like I was, try this place, I highly recommend it. Youll find a warm friendly place, and an extremely professional, kind young lady named Heather who defenetely knows what shes doing. You wont be disappointed.

Moved to Fort Myers a year ago and found the quirky houseboat location of Rumours Hair Design on an evening walk. Decided to give them a try and now my husband and I are both regular clients of Heather. She does a great job with color to help rid me of my blonde roots monthly and is gentle with my long hair, providing meticulous trims as needed. Her personable manner and willingness to work with her clients is welcome. My husbands cut has been growing out to a more relaxed style and she keeps him looking good. The hours of the salon are flexible, starting at 7 am and going until the evening if needed, we love the ambiance of the houseboat which provides water views from every chair in the salon. Great place, reasonable rates, I highly recommend the salon and Heather.

I wrote a review about how really great I thought Rumours was and have no idea why Google flagged it, but lets try this again. The place is awesome! Love the downtown location on the water. The Houseboat is very relaxing and gives a natural zen feeling to the experience. I found everyone there to be friendly and professional. Danielle cut my hair and it is one of the best cuts Ive ever had. She took the time to ask how I liked to wear my hair and what I wanted it to do and she got it spot on! It has been a few weeks and it is so easy to style and looks so good, Im amazed. Treat yourself and bring a friend to Rumours, you deserve it!

Ask for Heather -- shes a genius with resistant grays and highlighting. My goal was to transition slowly from a medium/dark brown to a light/medium brown with blond toned highlights, all the while covering very resistant grays. Each session accomplished subtle and flattering results. My mid-back length hair has never looked better. Five stars and thumbs way up on Heather; she knows what she is doing.
