I went in to Arrigo Ft. Pierce today to look at a Honda that was heading out the door to auction. While my original arrival was actually quite pleasant, my negotiating experience was downright awful. I arrived by myself and went through the test drive and inspected the car. This all went well, but the negotiating was a nightmare. I could not say if it was because I am a young woman or not, but I can say I was belittled and spoken to rudely as if I did not matter in the least. My boyfriend joined me as we walked inside to get more details on the pricing of the car and financing. When we started to sit down and talk, the salesman, Norman, would constantly look towards my boyfriend as he talked numbers. He let my boyfriend throw the first number out rather than asking me what I wanted to pay. I quickly spoke up, of course. This continued at a much better pace with Norm focusing his attention on what I was saying. However, he then stood up and left for a while, bringing back another individual named Matt. Matt then sat down and asked where my boyfriend had gone as hed left to go outside. He then told me wed wait for him to get back before he went over anything. I thought that was completely unprofessional. I informed him that it was me who was buying the car and my boyfriend did not need to hear whatever he had to say: I did. He attempted to cover it up by saying he thought my boyfriend was buying the car, but Matt was the first one to approach me while I waited at the front in the dealership for Norm to bring the car around to test drive. I admit, the rest of the time he talked to me, I was plenty rude back. I was insulted by the way he spoke to me and what he had said. He was not negotiating with me or communicating effectively. He then proceeded to tell me that I "didnt want the car." If Im sitting in that seat talking to him, I clearly want the damn car. In the end, I stood up and left with nothing. As I was standing outside the dealership deciding where to go for dinner with my boyfriend and his parents (they were present as I was going to trade in his moms car), Norm came back out asking what he could tell his manager as the reason I didnt want the car. I gave him my reasons of the price and the tires needing replacement as well as no floor mats, no tint, and no warranty. I said thank you and he left again. When he came back out, he carried papers with him of every other Honda Fit for sale in the area. I really didnt care. It wasnt about what others were priced at. It was about this one and the extra work it would need after I drove it off the lot. He then proceeded to talk to my boyfriends father negatively about me while I was standing not 20 feet away. I did say something, asking him to not do that and letting him know it was completely rude and disrespectful. He told me he would go ahead and get his manager to talk to me to find the lowest price they could go. At this time, I left the dealership without speaking to the manager, too frustrated and flustered. No one negotiated with me or threw out any numbers, and they spoke to only the men that were present rather than to the person with the money to buy the vehicle. As a young woman with a Masters degree, I can tell you that I will NOT be going to Arrigo for ANY car needs, and I will let all the women I know not to go to Arrigo unless they want to feel insignificant and belittled by chauvinistic men.

I am more than satisfied with the customer service that I received here! I traveled from Tampa to Fort Pierce and when I arrived, my car would not start and water was leaking from underneath. I had it towed to the Arrigo dealership and felt confident in leaving my car in an unknown city after I talked to Marcy. I appreciated the fact that Marcy was able to answer all of my questions and I felt good knowing that the person on the other end of the phone spoke to me with confidence and kept me up to date on my "baby" seeing as how I had traveled back to Tampa in a rental car. I do not speak "car" so I had my father communicate with Marcy about the details of the repair. I liked that the team did a full diagnostic on my vehicle and according to my dad, the price of the repair was fair. When I arrived back to Fort Pierce to pick up my car, I finally met Marcy and I liked that she explained step by step what had been done to my car as well as gave me a review of everything that she and my dad had talked about. She was organized, she communicated effectively, and she was very personable. I have specialty doors on my vehicle and I left a note asking the service repair to be careful when opening and shutting my driver and passenger doors when the car was dropped off for repair. I can not say Arrigo or the tow company altered the alignment of my driver door but I do know that it was no longer aligning properly. The whole event of being stranded in another city, and anticipating the price of repairs, and commuting between two cities was stress enough and I was at my wits end (with tears in my eyes) when I noticed my Lamborghini door was dragging. I literally thank God for Scott (a supervisor) who came out to my car to assess the situation. I was so upset about my car door, thinking that the dealership would not even know what to do with the specialty hinges but I was relieved when Scott informed me that he had worked on Lamborghini doors before. Scott, that door closes better than ever and I cant thank you enough for a speedy adjustment. So, to the team at Arrigo Dodge Chrysler Jeep and Ram, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for repairing my water pump, adjusting my door, and treating me kindly and fairly.

My purchasing experience was WONDERFUL. Steve Hinz was my salesperson, while I definitely had issues with my credit Mr. Martin in Finance was wonderfully assistive as well. I cant say enough good things about the Sale and Finance Departments. From Steven Hinz to Colby to Mr. Martin..all wonderful. 5 stars to SALES and FINANCE department. My reason for 3 stars and NOT 5 is the Service department. We had purchased a spray on bed liner(which looks AMAZING!) and also had a promise to fix the nicks in the windshield. i was told we would get a "loaner" vehicle. What I was NOT advised of is that you place a $150 hold on our credit card until said "loaner" is returned, which ultimately put us in the negative of our bank account, and we had to pay a $35 NSF fee for a bill that was already scheduled to be paid. Upon return of the vehicle, the "hold" is not released for 5 days after. (You are quick to take the money but NOT quick to put it back). We got a call that the vehicle was done, went to pick it up and the nicks in the windshield were not fixed, but had instead started to splinter. The Service Advisor told us the nicks were fixed..but it was CLEAR they were not. We rescheduled an appointment for 3 days later to fix the nicks. I have to say that I am very disappointed in the Service Department here at Arrigo. It was their mistake and we were made to feel like we did something wrong. If it werent for the Service that I purchased when I bought the vehicle (had I known it was the way it was, I would NOT have purchased the service), I would not be bringing my truck there for Service. I will repeat though, after looking for a truck for several months, Arrigo Dodge was A++++ with their Sales Department. I would DEFINITELY purchase another vehicle from them, as for having it serviced, I am not so sure.
