Third star is for customer service when I got there. I went about a month ago to just have my hair cut in layers. Since I have kinky curly hair, its a bit tricky. I spoke to the woman who would be cutting my hair how it has to be done. I dont think she understood well what I told her, & when I asked her if she knew how to cut in layers she says she knew. I closed my eyes, clenched my teeth, and waited. Finally she cut my hair. I thought it was only the beginning, but, no, she was done with just one cut across. I yelled, excuse me maam, arent you going to finish? She says no Im done. I reply, how can you be done if you cut only once? She says, thats how layers are done. She brushed my hair to the front, every single strand of hair. She held it all together and then cut some off from that. Yes, she cut off all of my dead ends, but she also caused about 3-4 inches of my hair to be gone from the front. So it looks like a rectangle and a square put side by side. (Rectangle being the major part of my hair and square being the front part) I feel like I have bangs. And I dont. I can no longer part my hair to the side like Ive always done for years. Now I must wait a couple of months to let that part grow a decent amount and I will be going back to the woman that I used to go to in opa locka that does an outstanding job on my hair. Please DO NOT feed into this salons bull. They are inexperienced. They do not know how to properly cut someones hair. Save urself the headache and go to a professional salon away from Wal-Mart.

This is the second time that I have attempted to use a coupon at this location only to be told that the coupon has already been used, even though I never used it. When I told the manager that I have not used the coupon she then proceeded to tell me that the coupon was not for their salon to which I then proceeded to point to her all the signs in the store that show that the name of the salon is in fact SmartStyle, the same as on the coupon. She then told me that the coupon was for armath... and not for me, I explained to her that armath... was my email address. At the end neither my $5 not my $2 discount coupon was accepted even though they both had never been used and were both still valid. At the end the manager told me that she would manually give me a $2 discount.

Well I felt that she did okay with my hair but I was really pissed of when I was charged extra $25 for drying my hair at the end! My hair was all wet when the lady aksed me if I wanted to dry my hair and then I said yes! which salon ever leave their costumer all wet at the end!!! I just said yes to dry my hair!!!!!! I was not even informed that they would charge ma that big amount just for it!!!! Could not be more pissed off today!!!!!!
