65 year old lady has a 1993 Toyota Corolla that was stalling and shutting off while driving. Towed it to Midas (nearest automobile repair shop) and ended paying an enormous $1380.00 for fuel pump, water pump, and new radiator. Midas said that would fix all the problems with the car. After Midas finished and closed for the day, car stalls out on the way home with the SAME PROBLEM...stalling and shutting off while driving. Poor elderly lady, she just paid $1380 to Midas and the problem was not fixed. Obviously, the new fuel pump, new water pump, and new radiator - did not fix the car. Obviously, parts were replaced that were still working because car has the exact same problem. PLUS, they recommended to "replace parts" for $1380, which is more than twice as much as the cars is worth. Who knows why would anyone recommend to fix a car for more money than it is worth? Maybe because they earn a commission or maybe to meet their sales quota? Maybe they enjoy taking money from sweet old ladies during the holidays?? Towed car back into Midas they determined problem was due to faulty engine relay. Waited one day for part and took Midas approximately, 5 minutes to install. Car did not shut off at shop and shop got a discount from the dealer for the part. Drove car and it sputtered, threw it in Neutral and prayed. Next day, going to Walmart, car ran for 5 minutes and stalled out (shut off). Re-started it and drove 50 feet and car stalled out. Re-started it and drove 20 feet and car shut off. Re-started it and drove less. With the engine off and transmission in neutral...glided into a parking space where car sits. Midas closed on Sunday. Complained to Mgr and informed him that car still has the original problem and he did not fix car and they charged little old lady $1380 for a car that has original problem. Mgr says the parts they replaced are working fine and thats a guarantee, but we need to bring car back so they can fix the problem. Plus, I need to stop interrupting when HE is talking and I should come down and talk "face to face". Now, I am afraid, so seeking assisting from Better Business Bureau, Midas Corporate office, State of Florida - Dept of Business - Auto Complaints, and Orlando Newspaper. Friends - buyer beware. Bottom line, elderly lady, who knows nothing about cars, trusted Midas, paid $1380 to Midas and car still has same problem.

On Monday I booked an appointment at Midas Kissimmee for Wednesday between 7:30-9:30 (there are only 2 hour time blocks in the drop down list when trying to book an appointment). I called before coming in on Wednesday and I spoke to Jonathon, who told me that the range of time I selected on their website, 7:30-9:30 would only allow me to come in at 7:30. I planned on coming in at 8:30 but he told me this was not possible, and argued with me on the phone for 10 minutes. He refused to give me the contact information for any manager or higher supervisor than him (MAJOR RED FLAG) and said I cant speak to anyone higher than him, and instead only gave me the name (not phone number) of the manager, Jose. Jonathon called once on Monday and I was unable to answer the phone but he did not leave a message and did not try to call again. If I cant come in at 8:30 why have that as a possible range on your website? Or why not specify on the website 7:30-8 as opposed to 7:30-9:30?? Just have your website designer change your website to reflect your store policy and not surprise your customers who try to book an appointment and get told they missed their appointment when they actually didnt? His manners were very unprofessional and I believe that bringing in my vehicle to this shop would lead to it to being sabotaged by Jonathon. My major complaint is not that I didnt get to bring my car in, its that 1) Jonathon placed the blame on me when their website appointment booking functionality doesnt reflect their store policy, and 2) Jonathon refused to allow me to speak to someone higher than him so I can suggest correcting the website or complain about my experience. I had a prepaid Living Social voucher that I planned on using for my oil change but I feel it is unsafe to trust my vehicle in Jonathons hands. I would like a refund.

This is the Worst Service I have ever seen ...Do Not Let Them Touch Your Vehicle ...I bought the Coupon for 3 oil changes and tire rotation so I made an appointment when I saw Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum were going to put a pair of Vise Grips on my Hood support rod to hold the hood up which would have Scared the rod and Worst Bent the Hood Hinges on my Classic IROC Convertible , Thank God I Caught them before they put their Extreme Stupidity in action ... I had to supply them with a Hood support and the oil that I use in all my Vehicle because they only use low quality oil. I asked them to rotate the tires and the owner mumbled something about that I didnt need it , I think he was being Lazy and he wasnt happy that I was using a coupon... Well he won in the end because I will never go back there again and neither should YOU ... If you do have to go there because you bought a coupon , #1 Keep an Eye on Them at all Times ...#2 make sure you bring your own oil ...#3 bring an old 5 quart container to put your old oil in to take with you because they Charge Garbage Fee of $5.00 to dispose of your oil which they actually sell to oil recyclers making money on both ends...You can drop the oil off at any oil change place for Free #4 Have them put there Low quality oil in the container that you brought with after they put your oil into your Vehicle, "You can use it in other machines"... #5 Just Dont Do It ...Its Not Worth It ...

Being new to this side of Orlando, and having had great experiences with Midas in the past, I figured this was a perfect place to get my oil changed. Not so much. First we were told that the engine had no oil at all, and the oil pan plug had a crack in it. We park in the same place, everyday. There has never been any oil spots in our driveway. But there was today. Then we were told that there was a crack in the radiator, although they would not give us a printed estimate, he hand wrote one on the invoice for a total of $910. $270 of that being labor. Having checked into the cost of a radiator for this vehicle, a high end model is $312? I have absolutely no problem with paying labor. I do have a problem paying $640 for a radiator, 2 hoses, and 4 clamps. I then noticed today that the shield from underneath the car was never reinstalled. And to top it all off, I went to check the oil myself this afternoon, and the engine cover was never reattached. Ive used Midas for years, so I wouldnt have to worry about these kinds of practices, and I have always been highly satisfied. This experience is completely unacceptable. Hopefully the piece that goes underneath my car is still in the shop somewhere. After speaking with the GM of the shop, I am hoping it can all be resolved. Jonathan was very pleasant and willing to take a second look.
