Below youll learn about my horrible experience with a horrible company. My mind is blown by the fact that these cons are still operating and in business. Its inconceivable how anyone can willingly review them highly. Youll quickly learn by the end of this review that I was having none of their lies whatsoever. Dont fall into their trap. Rather, you should learn from a legitimate customers traumatic experience and take your valuable computer somewhere else to be repaired properly. A few weeks ago, my laptop stopped turning on. I brought my laptop to ComputerXpress since it was extremely close by. It was probably one of my worst mistakes. I spoke with Steve who had no idea what he was talking about. I went ahead and signed the computer over to him for repairs. Two days later, he told me that I had a virus on my laptop. He proceeded to say that it would cost an extra $175 to remove. Having no other options, and being entirely unaware that it was actually a false diagnosis, I went ahead and paid it upfront. It took him an extra day to repair. He gave my computer back, and it still did not turn on. I brought it back to ComputerXpress. Steve was extremely unfriendly, and told me that my laptop must have encountered another issue. I gave it back for repairs once more. A day later, he called me and said that the hard drive failed and asked me to buy a new SSD hard drive and give him it. I refused to purchase a hard drive for an extra $172 because he didnt have a spare. He said that because I would not buy one, he would keep my computer until I decided to purchase it. Why would I genuinely allow some scam artist to withhold my own computer because I refused to buy in to their scam any further? I started getting disgruntled and began to argue with him, and he finally gave it back. No customer should EVER have to go through this. Pure unprofessionalism and scandless business management. You need to refine your scamming tactics. The next day, I received an email from Steves co-worker, who never provided a name. In the email he stated that he was deeply saddened by my terrible experience and would prefer I remove the utmost damaging review or replace it with a positive one. I refrained from contacting the co-worker back, assuming it was likely Steve or his supervisor trying to make amends and in his vision; attempted to hinder me from posting an honest and sincere review regarding the terrible customer service and illicit conduct used towards me. Completely unacceptable behavior, especially from Steve, who claimed to have majored in Computer Science and have graduated from Florida State University. I was under the impression, given a few background checks done by my husband, that the highest education he had was a HSD. From my understanding, Florida State University is a well-known school; famous for its prestigious academic campus and suave learning experience. Considering his entire demeanor, Florida State University must have not set the bar too high academically to let someone of his nature graduate. The same day, Steve gave me a call and offered to repair my computer for half the cost. I was quick to inform him of this review, and that the only thing he was receiving was a lawsuit. He then insulted me continuously over the phone, and shortly after, hung up. I have received no further call. Ill add on to the ever-worsening story; the hundreds of other positive reviews are completely rigged and astroturfed. Take a look at the different dates they were made, and search the names of the reviewers. Youll quickly find that they arent even real people. Ive reached the character limit, so Im unable to update it anymore. I went ahead and took my laptop to ComputerEddge which is also in Lakeland. They took care of me very nicely and I know you will be taken care of nicely too, unlike ComputerXpress. My computer is already working and out of the repair shop! The review is too long so I removed some text. - Neil

Ok, let me preface this review by saying I work from home. My computer is VERY important to me, it is how I make my living. Today at 1:00pm I was taking my lunch break when I heard a loud POP behind my computer and the screen when blank. The burning smell indicated that it had to be the power source. I live near ComputerXpress so I pass by their shop frequently and decided to give them a call to see what they could do. The gentleman that answered the phone was courteous, listened to my description of the issue and agreed it might be the power supply. He quoted me a reasonable price for the part and a reasonable price for them to install it for me. I expressed that I work from home and the sooner I could be up and running the better. They said no problem, could have me going in no time. I quickly brought my tower to them, they checked it out, tested the power source to determine the issue was indeed the power source (it was) Then took the new power source they had pulled and waiting for me out of the box, installed it temporarily to make sure everything booted up properly, then proceeded to install it into my tower. I was up and running in less than an hour. The staff was helpful, professional and thorough. They cleaned the inside of my tower, wiped down the outside and even replaced a missing screw on the side of my case. As this was an emergency repair, I had to split the charge between two cards which they did with no problem. So to recap: Professional, Thorough, Quick and Courteous. That was my experience at ComputerXpress...its now only 2 hours since the incident and Im writing this review on the comp they fixed. Thanks guys! Tom

They salvaged my entire profile, so I didnt lose a thing! Then they identified the problem and gave a fair quote to repair. I decided not to get it fixed and asked how much I could sell it for. It was more than I expected and almost 20% more than a North Lakeland store I brought it to later offered! I have come to trust the guys at Computer Xpress, and I enjoy going there. I have always left feeling confident about my experience; no icky pawn shop vibes here. Dont be afraid to stop in and ask. You will be glad you did. - Elliot S.
