Our roof was 18 years old, was worn, and had developed a couple of small leaks. It was time to get a new roof. We looked at shingle roofs and had several estimates. We realized that it was only a matter of years before we would then need to get another shingle roof. We decided that a better way to go would be a metal roof. The cost was more but we felt it was worth it for the longevity and protection. So, we started doing research. We went to metal roof companies and looked at their products. We had metal roof companies come out and give us estimates. After much research, we decided on Spilker Roofing. We had gone to their place of business where we saw the metal and the various fabrication machines they had. We got to talk with Mark and Rolf and they were extremely helpful. They went over all of the information about selecting and installing our metal roof. We felt confident, signed the contract, and the application for the permit. In a few weeks the installation crew arrived. They had all worked together for a long time and they were definitely a team. The crew arrived every morning at 7:00 A.M. and started to work as soon as they got to our house. They worked all day long with only a short lunch break. All of the installers were pleasant and friendly and, when asked, explained exactly what they were doing. First, they did the tear off, removing all of the shingles and paper. They re-nailed the deck boards and replaced those that were in need of replacing. Next came the installation of the "peel and stick" underlayment. The installers did a very careful job of laying this material on the roof. With the peel and stick in place they were ready to start installing the metal. A truck came to our house, pulling a trailer. It hadwith a huge coil of 24 gauge Galvalum metal and a roll-forming machine. The flat metal coils were slowly fed into the roll-forming extruder machine and came out formed into panels. The roll-forming machine had a computer control and allowed it to make multiple sheets at various lengths. Thus the roof panels were made on site and each length was cut to size and stacked ready to be installed. It was very interesting to watch the crew work. They carefully and purposefully placed each piece of metal and fastener into place. Each night our yard was cleaned and picked up. We enjoyed watching them install and precisely form and finish our roof. The company can be very proud that all of their employees - sales, installation and office staff are of the highest quality. We highly recommend Spilker Roofing and Metal work and proudly show off our beautiful new metal roof.

Living at the beach is wonderful. The downside is that everything rusts and falls apart. When it was time to get a new roof, we researched our options and settled on Spilker Roofing. They use a .032 gauge aluminum with a Kynar coating. The specs on the Kynar read like a military specification. We also inspected a couple of their commercial jobs to see how they held up over years of beach weather. There was no obvious wear or degradation. The project went smoothly with no surprises. They have a seasoned crew including a family member. Cleanup was superb. No complaints from our lawn guy concerning old roofing nails. This is a family business that takes pride in their work and keeps their commitments. Old school values are hard to find these days. After a disappointment with interviewing several gutter companies, we have decided to retain Spilker Roofing to install our new gutters. If you want the best, this is the company that will meet your expectations.

Had a couple of bids, chose Spilker over the others for our home. Saw the work they did in the big commercial jobs around town ( Radisson at the Port, Cocoa Beach Public Works Complex) Rolph took me into the shop on Merritt Island, showed me the machines they use, the materials, panels, stainless steel screws and hardware. Recommended aluminum being close to the beach. Answered all my questions, felt good about the whole process, chose the standing seam instead of exposed screws. Crew showed up, very professional, have all worked together for years, not a throw together crew. Roof came out awesome. Chose white aluminum, attic much cooler, looks great, and figured if it ever fades, its going to fade to white (its already white). Would recommend them for residential or commercial work. Had zero problems, very positive experience all around.

I got a Spilker Special roof, for sure. This company is TERRIBLE! They installed the wrong kind of venting for my water heater and Furnace, they didnt use the proper materials or methods. I found that the furnace and water heater pipe were not clearing the roof line, the heat ended up charring the underside of the roof deck boards in my attic. That could have cause a fire! They also installed the roof improperly so massive amounts of water damage have occurred, they told me they dont do soffits and fascia, really? What a joke. Gross negliance, poor attitude, terrible company. They like to take short cuts and charge full price for lackluster products and service. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

This was my second house to get a new roof from Spilker Roofing. The previous house was sold and when we bought this house, I knew from the beginning I wanted another metal roof and Spilker was going to do it. They are simply the best Ive seen and have very reasonable prices. They not only installed standing seam metal on my house but repaired a significant amount of rotten wood found. They are very professional and superb craftsmen. Ive sent two people to them now for their roof replacements and they too were very pleased with the craftsmanship of the final product. I very highly recommend this company.

Outstanding job on all accounts. Very professional and knowledgeable. Our old asphalt roof was removed and a new, standing seam, hidden fastener metal roof in bright silver installed. During the roof installation, several non-conforming situations were discovered – to include the existing skylights and lack of adequate clearance between the roof line and the bottom of our windows. In each case, Spilker custom designed a solution. We priced multiple vendors – and very happy we selected Spilker for this major investment in our home.
