BEWARE of D&J LLC Auto Repair! I brought my car to D&J Auto for a front end collision repair and the owner Ricardo Baraona said he could fix it; that his shop is also a collision shop as well as a mechanic shop and gave me a price to do the job. After he had the car for 2 days he said he couldnt get the parts, so for me to get the parts and he would install them and paint the entire car, next he increased the price to do electrical and install the new airbags, so I agreed. Next he told me that he wasnt going to paint the whole car as promised because he had to have the tip of the frame straightened and had to bring it somewhere else at a cost of $450.00 but not to worry that he would blend it all in and that I wouldnt notice the difference. I brought him the parts including an after market front bumper ($285) sold by various parts dealers for my model car and that is where the nightmare started. Ricardo said that he didnt have the necessary tools to install the bumper and said that it wasnt for my car, so I had to go out and by another OEM bumper at $585.00 dollars. He was also going to replace my convertible top because the old one ripped with the impact and the weight of the rear glass. I visited his shop every few days and the car was just sitting there, he would tell me that he needed some other part to move the job ahead but he did not bother to call me and tell me unless I stopped by the shop. The car was getting scratched up from moving it around and the so called collision shop which is a shed in the back of the garage itself. Here is where he started getting nasty and yelling, he told me that the car had all the scratches before I brought it in and that he had it on video, so I told him to show me the video which he did not, he touched up all the scratches with paint without proper sanding or finish. A job that could have taken 3 weeks took 70 days while I was renting a car from Enterprise to get around for work. He told me the car was ready, after 70 days in his shop and the results were as follow: I got there and I had to wait for him to come back from having the windshield replaced by some nearby glass shop. The car was filthy and I think it was done on purpose to hide the multiple scratches (some he touched up) and the bad paint job finish (Orange peel from lack of wet sanding), the convertible top was not properly installed and needs to be reinstalled with all the parts that he left on the floor of the car. The stop lights, horn and shifter lock switch were not working and was told that I had to replace the horn, once I got the car towed home I replaced a .50 cent fuse and everything including the horn worked. The air conditioning did not work, the air vents knob did not work and could not change the direction of the air flow, also the fresh air vent was locked and did not work. (Part of replacing the airbags was to remove the dash board and when he did I guess he didnt hook up the vent cables or mechanism) The right fender was not secured at the front and or the bottom and put the sport spoilers right over it so when the car Idles it rattles like crazy. The hood and left fender do not align therefore needs to be fixed. The car is leaking oil and I guess it is from the timing belt and water pump replacement that he did while the car was in the shop. Bottom line is I have now brought the car to Mazda to have the A/C and vents repaired for a charge of $550 then to a convertible shop to reinstall it properly $250 and finally to a body shop to align the panels and re-paint the car $600-800. What a nightmare! I should have just taken the insurance money and purchased another used car rather than listen to Ricardo that he could fix it. I paid him just to get the car out of his shop and avoid additional time for the car to sit there. No matter what price he gives you, it is not worth dealing with a nasty person with no manners whatsoever and bad quality work.

We had a problem with our battery and were warned that all the shops in the area would try to scam us. As someone from out of state we were worried that that would be the case. We found D&J and Ricardo checked it out and said we should just get a new battery, but that that if our light was still on to come back to him. It turned out we had a problem with our alternator and they took us right away. Ricardo cleaned up the office for us and made us comfortable. We still had a 13 hour drive and so we were worried about getting stranded, but they got the alternator replaced quickly and got us out on the road. They gave us a fair price as well. We were grateful to have found them and have been treated so well.

I recommend you not go there. I bought my own parts online and asked them to install the water pump for me. They told me they charged $95 for labor. Then they told me I needed to replace a new hoes, I said fine. After it took them 5 hours dragging their asses to install everything, the end price was freaking $500. GTFOH! Never going back to those thieves and crooks again!

I called this place in advance to ask for the tire i needed by number, after a first yes, "its $35" I webt. When i got there, no one even asked me if i needed anything even with a popped tire. After 20 minutes someone came back and told me they didnt have what i needed. Thankfully theres a place right on 99th & 7 ave to the right that got it done.
